Lynch carries for 3.6ypc in the 1st half.... jumps up to 4.1 in the 3rd quarter....There a quite a few reasons this happens....

You want 100 yard rusher....give one of your backs 20-25 rushes a game....its that simple.... Just alil stat for yall.... Jackson in the 1st half carries for 3.3ypc..... In the 3rd quarter that jumps up to 7.4ypc.... Anyone wonder why that is??

Were are these two huge plays he gave up....??

No were talking about coverage because there seems to be a few people on this board who seem he doesnt get INT's or PD's cuz he is terrible in coverage.....its simply not true.....He's actually very good in coverage....which is why his zone area is rarely tested in the pass game..... Now as far as his run defense is concerned, he still has his flaws there...for sure....he takes bad angles at times(Giants&Jags game last year clear examples)...Whitner has gotten better, year to year in his run support..... but on that play...he did what he had to....cut off Ginn's angle....lets be real Ginn is much faster then anyone on our D...Whitner cut his angle made Ginn have to try a semi juke which considerably slowed him down....allowing Mitchell to come from behind and knock that ball loose....unfortunitely it went out of bounds...... http://www.nfl.com/videos?categoryId=highlights <----check the game highlights.....at 1:24....Ginn catches the ball on a 10 yd post in...and Whitner charges in, lowers the shoulder...but Ginn saw him coming and dropped low to avoid it....Whitner still gets him good though

Again were talkin coverage here...... and on that play i thought Whitner did a great job cutting off Ginn's angle...and allowing Mitchell to have a chance to come from behind and strip that ball....

But C3 is not a medium zone at all.....Its a 3 deep zone.....with the MLB taking the deep middle.... WE ran that alot with the old regime, with London....but with the new regime&POZ we rarely play C3..... and Man Under is a mix of zone and man....The CB's and MLB play man....while the Safeties play mid zone, and the LB's or LB/NB combo play soft zone.....

OK call out the plays, were Donte got toasted by Ginn yesterday.....ill rip them and youtube them for all of us to see....

I didnt see much C3 going in that game....POZ def didnt drop back at all into deep mid zone..... Quarters is a possibility....that plays to the weakside also with your LB's&NB playing man....which is what we saw alot from POZ in that game.....but did the CB's drop that far off the LOS to play to be in quarters zone...?? idk... def T2

Well the reason i think we played alot of man under is because we were playing shifted over to there weak side...leaving POZ in alot of man responsibility thru out most of the game........ In man under coverage the Safties still have deep responsibility....Its just leaves your underneath coverage(CB's and MLB in man coverage, while your other two defenders(LB's or LB/NB) shift the weak side.... Your saying we mixed in alot of deep zone coverages....but what deep zone coverage do you think we played thru out that game??

Watch the plays again neither are anywere near Donte's zone responsilibity.......

Im pretty sure in the Arizona game we played alot of man under coverage...

No thats not it.....when your a safety that has trouble covering your zone responsibility....QB's will take more chances attacking your zone....meaning you have more chances at INT's & PD's.... Whitner never NEVER gets picked on...infact he doesnt get more then a couple of throws come his way....and when he does...it always comes underneath in a vacated LB Zone Area(ex. Higgins TD)....

In our base Cover 2 every defender is responsible for an area of the field......If team doesnt throw into his area....that means he is doing the exact job in this defense....

To those bashing Whitner.....He doesnt get INT's...he doesnt get PD's...... HELLLLLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If the ball isnt thrown his way how is he suppose to compile these stats??? Watch the game yesterday....How many passes were thrown his direction?? Good luck finding more then one....

Worst thing is i think he had the first...so he didnt need to stretch for it...

Not to mention that there was no way Faulk got two feet down on that TD

He makes the most bonehead plays...and the worst times.... fumble in Arizona....today....there wasone last year that cost us too(cant remember what game, but it was a Trent start) his play in the SD game a couple years back.... I cant wait til he is gone

I disagree....I thought the playcall was right on.....we needed to take a shot downfield...and 2nd and short from the 40 was a prefect time....and it was there....just a poor throw... of course seeing the result on that play and the next(trent fumble)......i can see your point....

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Thats what the previous regime did with Losman....no need for that...You stick with Trent thru the good and the bad...in a couple years we will have a very a solid field general as a result....

That pass was on Trent....Hardy had a step on his man down the sideline...and he threw it over/out of bounds....I bet if Trent had one throw...one play to do over....up to that point....it be that one

No sir...he was well below average....plainly awful.... He missed many oppurtunites today....his throws were erretic...he had happy feet.....held on to the ball to long....and fumbled in the worst spots.... Young players have these kind of games....coaching staff knows this, stick with him and he will bounce back next

Give Jackson a lil credit it here....for the most part he has gotten the job done this season...he just didnt there.... cut him alil slack

Lynch had to be dinged up..... He had a sick blitz pick-up on the 2nd play of the game, that allowed Trent to find Evans......then he was pulled...I'm sure he had to get knicked up a bit there....
