  1. I can't think of another kicker drafted that high besides Janikowski, at least in the last decade. Plus, isn't there spposed to be enough guard depth to snatch one in the third rond?
  2. In addition to the valid points already made - that Losman over Bledsoe is a huge improvement and JMac should have even more success in his second year after a successful first season - I don't think there is a guard in the history of the NFL that is worth three wins to a team. So if you want to get to 12-4, one free agent guard, any free agent guard won't get you there. It might get you one win, tops. And IMHO, McGahee healthy for a whole season and even better, as he says he will be, plus Losman's mobility, should be enough to win those at least three of the 4 close losses (3 early games we lost by 8 points and the season finale), and there's your 12-4.
  3. Drafted him and then traded him away the next year...
  4. Does that mean that Anderson played on the same line as Lawrence Smith?
  5. Never heard of rotoworld. Do they have a good track record?
  6. New York, 21, Beijing. Anyone else in Beijing?
  7. Hey guys Am I the only one who thinks the reason Holcomb jumped at the low ball offer is because TD mentioned the words "Starting Job" to him? Anyone? Yeah, its only 6 million, but what are the incentives if he starts? Anyone?
  8. Yeah, I know this is ridculously early to bring this up, but if Donahoe really is going to sit on his hands and not make any moves during free agency, what kind of compensation could we get in the 2006 draft? A third rounder? Do you think Donahoe has been considering this, too?
  9. Our pass defense was ranked 2nd in the conference, our run defense sixth. I would've thought that was reversed. So, it's harder to argue that pass D should be the top priority. But, if we stick with Edwards and go after a Ty Law, Antoine Winfield-type CB who can play the run as well as the pass, we would be better off with option 2. In turn, stronger pass rush from Edwards helps the pass D. It could be a win-win.
  10. raided Catholic, I like that. Sid Luckman was Jewish. Benny Friedman, who just elected into the Hall of Fame, was Jewish. Hebrews, lets be proud of our players.
  11. Say the Bills put in Losman this year, he hits some bumps on the way, and they finish 9-7, one game out of the playoffs. I think that's likely. Then, by 2006, they'll be in the playoffs. So, that means it will have taken Donahoe only six years to make the playoffs. On average, a team should make it eveyr 2.6 years. Maybe that's why we're not all so anxious to praise him - just yet. But if he brings us a Superbowl, forget everything I just said.
  12. rolly, help me out. Didn't Brady sit one year before leading his team to the SB, just like Losman? And shouldn't we give Manning another season before judging him a bust - or that playing him before he was ready might've helped his progress? The point is you can find examples any which way, but the majority of cases show that Losman should be ready to contribute this year.
  13. First, I think that will change under JP. Second, if Bledsoe were to stay, I think that would be an argument against Moulds. Bledsoe too often locks on to his primary target because he's Bledsoe's favorite, causing him to make stupid throws into traffic and to miss an open receiver. Pulling his favorite security blanket out from under him will force him to look for the most open receiver.
  14. Keep me posted.
  15. We'll get something in return. Cutting Brown is not the same as losing him to FA, though.
  16. Why does he aspire to send his kids to Florida State?
  17. Sectionc 154.
  18. THe way I see it, we need one of four games to break our way: either the Jets vs. StL or SEA or the Broncs at Ten or KC. One of four - I'll take those odds.
  19. Yeah, I dreamt of that, too, but Pittsburgh only has homefield locked up if NE loses again.
