    I don't think any GM has the power to unilaterally fire the coach, especially when it would involve the owner cutting a $9 million check for someone not to work. And of course he doesn't make the call on the 3-4.

    Scouts Inc. has bell as the 21st best tackle, 171st overall prospect. McShay had him going mid-6th round in his seven round mock. Overall, a solid pickup. Edit: our future tackles: the Bellboys? the Bell Brothers? The Bell Pops?

    Wilson has gotten on the filed on defense (and even started). I don't think Wendling has taken a snap in two years on defense.

    I think the reason Maybin was a high 1st and Schobel a mid 2nd is that Maybin is that much quicker. You have to guard against him going around the corner, but as soon as you do, he can cut inside with amazing agility. That is why he is so hard to defend. You can see this best in the Ohio St. game. In the Rose Bowl vs. USC, he just went around the left tackle a number times.
