To take your question seriously, yes, I think Ralph does. This board likes to minimize it, but Ralph was very disappointed by last year's collapse, and continuity was a tough sell. He barely bought it this year, but he won't buy it after another 7-9.

I think a dozen teams would beat down the door for Cowher, but I think Shanahan may be a little shocked and very disappointed when he isn't the hot commodity he thought he would be. Thoughts?

If he actually sits out the year, I think what will happen is that the NFL draft will look more like the MLB draft, where there is a slotting system, but some players make known that they won't sign unless the team offers above slot. So, you could see Crabtree slip until a team willing to pay him top-5 money, regardless of where he's drafted.
