You think Schobel should have blown up when the Bills were 5-4 (and on a four-game winning streak) at the same point two years ago?

I think the reason there isn't that much reaction is because there's no one left that believes there won't be wholesale changes this offseason.

I know you can't respond to all the comments there, especially on a Friday before a football weekend, but I am curious about your thoughts: I was wondering what you think about what Gregg Easterbrook had to say about Oher in this week's TMQ: "Right now, rookie left tackle Michael Oher looks terrible." Are he and Peter King watching the same player? Whom do you believe?

1. There has no been an extension signed, and even if there is, college extensions seem to mean less than nothing. As of yesterday, when asked about the extension, he said no comment. Not even, "I'd love to stay here and we'll make something work. 3 and 4. Last year, he interviewed for the Jets job, so he's not so tied to Palo Alto, as nice as it is.

He's currently the Colts' QB coach.

He inherited a 1-11 team in 2006 (Edwards' last year) and now has them an Oregon away from the Rose Bowl only three years later.

Can you list every coach that will show you they are committed to winning? You realize this amounts to the potential employee in a job interview asking the employer what's going to happen when he dies? Talk about getting off on the wrong foot.

FYI, it's not as simple as the original article makes it out to be. Boise St. is asking for a larger payout than anyone else has ever asked for in a one-and-done arrangement. If they wanted to, they could accept less money now for one of these arrangements to increase their chances of getting the uber payout of a BCS game down the road.

To the extent that the last thing of note Cowher has done was beat Holmgren in the Superbowl (on a series of questionable calls), I think Holmgren represents the better value at this point, since everyone is convinced that Cowher represents the One True Savior.

The only reason he's still here is because there's nothing to be gained from firing him at this point.

You should really make this poll with consideration of what round they're going to be drafted in. For example, make the choice Locker in the 1st and another choice Tebow in the 2nd. Also wanted to give a mention to Dan LeFevour from CMU.

CBS, like the official NFL gamebook, uses 15 yards as the cut-off for deep. I don't think that's what a lot of the board means when we say we want Trent to throw deep. So, while I respect the effort you put in and the objectiveness, I don't think it meaningfully settles any dispute.
