    The Bills have been competing for the title of second most dysfunctional franchise (with, I think, Detroit, St. Louis and Jacksonville). But I do think it is wise to keep former players at a distance from the team. If you want to be a coach, then work towards that. Put in your time. Don't just call the team for a position one day.

    But it basically has to be a case that is that extreme - where the team goes 1-15. Morris has at least won three and has the team playing better (2 wins in a row). The only other coach I can think of being fired after one season is Ray Rhodes, and that was under weird circumstances.

    I agree on this. The reports of Tampa's interest in Cowher was before they beat the Saints. It is exceedingly rare to fire a first-year head coach.
