so roughly money on par with Green. I guess it's reasonable that we need a tackle more than a guard, but man, we need both.
Not only the same money, and not only a guard, but he's never even won a starting job.
-
His first two picks were Pro Bowlers. I'll take that.

he is a family man, and keen on developing that relationship further on a year-round basis. i do think, he also enjoys being around the guys in the room.
all that said, i think the fact that he's waited this long, means he'll come back. the way he talked last september, he was all but one and done.

Hey J-Dub,
Just wondering if you have gleaned anything from your interactions with Aaron about why he would refuse a deal to Houston. It seems to make a lot of sense if his main reason for considering retirement is spending time with his family year-round, rather than frustration generally with the game.

What does it mean for us?
The Browns may be less likely to draft a QB ahead of us.
The Browns are probably less likely to go after Troy Smith.
The Seahawks may be more likely to draft a QB ahead of us.
Of course, it probably means nothing.
-
Troy Smith was so good that the Ravens traded up in the first round to get Flacco two years ago -- and the Ravens' front office knows what they are doing.
If we're concerned with facts, the Ravens actually traded down from the 8th pick to the 18th pick to get Flacco.
-
I like the idea of Troy Smith, but here's what we (sort of) know so far:
The Ravens priced him to move.
No team has brought him in for a visit.

If you're a secret agent, everybody is allowed to shoot at you but nobody is allowed to hit you. You're allowed to shoot at all the bad guys with stellar aim, but when it comes to hitting the MAIN bad guy at close range, suddenly you can't hit the broad side of a barn.
The main bad guy is, on the other hand, allowed to CAPTURE you ONCE. But when he does, he isn't allowed to shoot you. He's only allowed to leave you with one of his bumbling henchmen, or another option is simply holding a gun to your temple but NEVER squeezing the trigger even as you develop a complex and risky means for escape.
Adding to this...
When you're a secret agent in need of a disguise and you knock out someone with one blow, that person's clothes will invariably fit you, even if you're a 6'4 Scotsman in Japan.

Also, you misquoted the article which NEVER says that Gaither is available or that they are believed to be willing to move him. It just never says that.

He didn't misquote the article. Rotoworld did.
Rotoworld takes a legitimate piece of reporting and tries to spice it up a bit.

Remember, our new DC was Porter's position coach. If he's coming for a visit, then he would seem to have Edwards' blessing.
-
Surprised if Schobel stays means you expect him to retire or get traded?
-
Is there any reason we'll be worse than last year? Or is 6-10 seriously suck?
-
Where there is smoke there is fire. The Tiger Woods and John Edwards scandals were first reported by TMZ and/or organizations like them. They have to be taken seriously as a news source.
And Michael Jackson's death. I would trust TMZ as much as any news organization out there. After all, they are subject to the same libel laws.
-
Can't find it on the News website.
Tim Graham at 3:00, though.
-
You don't know we can't take him or Tebow. QB Heisman winners have never won a SB and most of them have little success in hte NFL maybe Palmer will break this curse some day.
Last year we got a 4th for McCargo before he failed the physical.
-
Just looked at the lyrics. HUH? There is no male reference that I can tell.
Did you read the article?
-
At the same time, it doesn't seem like a big deal to fix, especially if it's just going back to the original words.
-
Exactly.
I'm not an Ellison fan by any means, but if there is a possibility of someone offering up a draft pick for Ellison before we cut him later in the offseason, I'm all for it.
I think tenders are guaranteed when signed, but I'm not sure. I know franchise tenders are guaranteed.

And I didn't realize that the Giants game the next week was a comfortable 52 degrees.
It started that way. I remember tailgating without a jacket. Then, five minutes into the second quarter, the heavens opened as if God was angry at Trent Edwards.
-
I immediately looked up the 2007 game at Cleveland for their description. It says 30 degrees and clear.
The game was played in a Blizzard with driving winds and a white field throughout.
-
Perfectly legitimate question.
It's an employer asking a prospective employee, "You quit your last job. Will you quit on us?"

Tendering an offer is not offering an extension. That is just the way of retaining rights to him.
Can we impose a minimum football IQ to post on this board?

Hey Tim,
Do teams ever consider what next year's class of prospects look like in planning their strategy for this draft, or is that too distant and uncertain? Specifically, would the Bills consider Locker, Mallett, Luck, etc., when considering drafting Jimmy Clausen?
-
And interestingly enough, someone else at that same interview came away with a different opinion of the session:
Lori, you forgot to remind us about the chat!
-
Interesting that Mayock has Ducasse at tackle.
