I hope this guy gets paid and gets paid large.

Nice job. Now that you brought it up I do remember reading that article. It's all very interesting. I'm not against the thinking that we just might have most, if not all, of the pieces that we need on the OL even without Peters.
-
I like where he said, "My theory is that the Bills will swing Brad Butler over to left guard, meaning the open hole will shift to right guard." This makes sense. Butler is nasty and this just be the better position for him anyways. If we were to move Walker to LT and Butler to LG it would shift our most experienced players to the more difficult side of our line to play. Would Chambers and Bell be able to man the right side of the line at G and T? That's what we don't know and if that's what our braintrust are considering. I also would like to mention that OL Kevin Shaffer was cut by Cleveland. His position was mostly on the right side of the line and I think that he could be of use to us and would be a good insurance policy at this time.

I'm getting nervous about Peters. I'm starting to think that this guy is never going to be satisfied. Anyone who wants to hold someone hostage can't be trusted in my opinion. He was an undrafted FA and the contract that he is looking for is going tom be top dollar. Is paying him the right move for the Bills? I think that bringing in insurance policies might be a good idea. Taking a good look at ex-Cleveland T Kevin Shaffer would be a good start. he played both T positions and I'm wondering if we got him for our RT and moving Langston Walker to LT might not be such a bad idea. It would also constitute the money that we're paying Walker and if trading Peters for a 1st rd pick (Philly?) and possibly a mid rder would allow us to fill other needs on our team. If that were to happen then our draft on the first day could look like this. 1st rd-DL Tyson Jackson 1st rd (Philly's pick at #21)-ILB James Laurinaitis 2nd rd-OG Duke Robinson Trade our 2nd rder and 5th rder (Philly's) to move up in the draft and select TE Jared Cook. The reason that I think that this would feasible is because first of all the economics and also ridding ourselves a disgruntled player who may never be satisfied. The second reason is that by taking Laurinaitis it would allow us to move Poz to the outside which is actually his natural position. The third reason is that we would still have 4 out of 5 OLinemen that are NFL veterans while we work in one rookie on the line. The fourth reason is that we also put ourselves in position to be able to still draft a quality pass catching TE.

Pettigrew coming in for visit on Monday
Tipster19 replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The more that I think about it the more that I think that the Bills just might be considering of trading dow. The TE position is traditionally a lower draft pick and the Bills just might not like what is available to them at the #11 spot. Raji should be off the board and Maybin has just admitted to playing at 230 lbs last year with a body that is still developing. Trading down and gathering more early picks would make sens for the Bills if they wanted to address the whole front seven of their defense. There are some very good LBs available during the mid to late 1st rd. Grabbing Pettigrew and someone like Ohio St LB James Laurinaitis would be awsome if we could work out a trade with Philadelphia. Picking OG Duke Robinson in the 2nd rd would make this one excellent draft for us. -

I bet that this is just a smokescreen. I can't imagine that the Bills aren't going to address their DLine with their first pick at #11 unless they are considering to trade down. -
Western New York is getting it's dues!
Tipster19 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oops! I guess that I am a bit of an idiot. I'm from Rochester originally, 80 miles East of Buffalo and 90 miles West of Syracuse, and I never realized that Syracuse is actually Central New York but it never stopped me from claiming them as one of our own regionally. I'm wrong geographic wise but not spirit wise. Now, let the Sabres do something monumental this year and then my home area just pulled a trifecta. -
What a week for Western New York! In less than a week the Buffalo Bills sign the biggest FA in the NFL and then the Syracuse Orange in an epic battle defeating the nation's #4 team in the Big East rival UConn in a historic 6 OT thriller! Celebrate Western New Yorkers, it's long overdue!

This whole "TO 81" Thing makes me optimistic about TO
Tipster19 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Get use to this, the media is going to make everything this guy does a show. I'm going to call this latest episode a Terrell & Hardy comedy. -
Hitler's ticked off about the T.O. signing ...

Yes, you're right, it is a hilarious video but unfortunately it has already been posted a couple of days ago. Welcome to the zoo. Grab yourself a bag of peanuts and watch the monkeys around here go apesh!t. -
Yeah, I'm sure that he doesn't want to be on the receiving end of one of TO's rants.

Arizona is shopping WR Anquan Boldin.
Tipster19 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Arizona doesn't need Evans and I wouldn't want to see Buffalo trade Evans anyways, no matter how much I would love Boldin to come here. -
My own genuine TO story...take it for what its worth
Tipster19 replied to SuperBills12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's hysterical! It's time for TO to light up! Warning! SURGEON GENERAL'S WARNING; Smoking By Terrell Owens May Result in Fatal Injury, Mega TDs and Wild Celebrations to AFC East CB's health. -

Alright then, who would get #81 for their jersey, TO or Boldin? -

Comments and input welcomed on LSU's DE Tyson Jackson

Thank you, that's my point exactly. -
We have a ton of scoring weapons.
Tipster19 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe that not only adding TO opens up the offense but he also opens up the coaching. -

Yeah but that one player makes this whole offense work. -
If you look at our roster we can score in so many various ways and from anywheres on the field. We might need another OLineman and a pass catching TE but other than that we are potent in scoring potential. We spent a good part of our last few drafts on the secondary. I'm expecting for us to really upgrade our front seven on defense, especially the LB position. Trent Edwards-A cerebral QB with a good release and can make numerous different throws. Marshawn Lynch-Tough RB who grinds out yards and is hard to bring down. Fred Jackson-The perfect compliment to Lynch. We have one of the strongest starting RB tandem in the league. Lee Evans-Now that teams can't roll their coverages to him watch him explode with long TDs. Terrell Owens-Just his presence on the field makes this offense work. Josh Reed-Having him in the slot is going to pay huge dividends. Roscoe Parrish-One of the best PRs in the game. Terrence McGee/Leodis McKelvin-The McFly Attack can take any kick back. The field position that these two will create will put our defense in great position every time they touch the ball. Brian Moorman-When you can hear him booming the ball from up in the broadcast booth then you know he's nailing that pigskin. Oncde again, field position. Rian Lindell-Big leg, good accuracy. We'll score just about every time we touch the ball as long as we open up the offense.

Comments and input welcomed on LSU's DE Tyson Jackson
Tipster19 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks for your insights. I'm thinking that Tyson Jackson might be a better DT than a DE, especially a Cover 2 DT because it doesn't appear that McCargo is going to be the answer. -
I was thinking that Penn St's DE Aaron Maybin would be a good pick for us at the #11 spot but I must admit that his time at the Combine has me concerned. Others have mentioned Georgia Tech's DE Michael Johnson but both of these two players have also been projected to go as low as somewheres in the 2nd rd. We need to be very careful with our first pick so I was wondering what kind of input the board would have on LSU's DE Tyson Jackson. He's strong, good against the run and versatile. What would the consensus be if we were to take him and put him in the middle primarily? Also with his versatility he could be used all up and down the DLine like a Richard Seymour. It would be nice to pair him with Stroud and to prepare for the future. http://walterfootball.com/pro2008tjackson.php http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dspro...9&genpos=DE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5MeTrQ124Q...feature=related http://www.draftcountdown.com/rankings/de.php Some thoughts on some our other early picks. I would love to see us take Oklahoma's OG Duke Robinson and then with our 3rd pick, regardless if it's in the 3rd rd or if we would have to trade up to be able to take him, would be South Carolina's TE Jared Cook. Check both of these players out on the last link (draftcountdown.com/rankings) that I provided. So, would this be an acceptable draft to all with our first 3 picks?

What an excellent PC and Jauron was great. I think that if any coach stood a chance in dealing with TO, Jauron is good as any. He's a gentleman, professional and genuine. I think that this will appeal to TO and his demeanor. Of course if Jauron is a bonehead with his Xs and Os then you can throw that all out the window. One other thing, usually when you fidget with your nose it means one of two things. It's either that you're nervous or you're lying. I would venture a guess that with Jauron it's that he is nervous. I'm glad that I watched it.

...countless hours of internet reading and blogging. ...many sleepless nights. ...ulcers, headaches and anxiety. ...a tremendous amount of money throughout the years on memorabilia, football caps and sportwear. ...numerous Sundays where they are the only thing that I can think or care about. ...one interior wall that I punched a hole thru during Super Bowl XXV ...any activities and social events that got in the way of a good game. ...traveling time, charcoal, food and game day tickets. ...gallons of beer. ...plenty of hopes, dreams and optimism. ...tears. ...high blood pressure and heart palpitations. ...bouts of depression, loneliness and bewilderment. ...public embarassment, humiliation and scorn. ...strained relationships, congenial communication with others and acceptable social behavior. Hmm, this sounds like a typical marriage and I find this all to be a very small price to pay if they could only win a Super Bowl in my lifetime. Go Bills!

As of now there is no valid contract. The Ranms and Brown's agent are working to resolve it. Speculation is that with teams already spending big chunks of their salary cap it would be better for Brown to work it out with the Rams but wouldn't be great if Buffalo were to jump into the mix and snag him? http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/03/10/...al-disapproved/ http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playernews.aspx?sport=NFL
