  1. that's your assumption. I believe that the report stated that they were testing the market to see what Parrish would net. Who said anything about a 4th rd pick? I think that you might see Parrish involve in some kind of package with a pick so we could move up in the draft. If he were to be traded just for a straight up pick then I think a decent 3rd rd pick would be about the fair compensation for him.
  2. Thanks Tim. I knew you asked him about that. That's too bad, he would be perfect for us.
  3. Talking about last year's draft, I don't think that Brandon is getting his proper dues. I think that he did a sterling job in his first draft. Matter of fact he blew the doors off his two predecessors, Donahoe and Levy. How many times have you heard from various people from around the league that you build a team thru the draft? Well, our guy just about aced it in his first draft! I believe that extending Stroud was more about economics than sending a message to the team but either way it was a shrewd move none the less. How about that Stroud was one of his first moves period? I was deadset against at first but boy was I wrong! He was the first GM of ours in a decade that actually made the middle of our defense a top priority. Nice job Russ and thanks! As far as the Peters' situation, that guy was signed to a valid contract that was in good faith. I'm not begrudging Peters for wanting more money, especially once he was switched from the right to left side of the line. The left side commands more money and he deserves to get paid accordingly but I don't like the way he handled himself. The way he went about getting it was wrong and very selfish. It was purely a I I me me attitude and he didn't display any respect towards his teammates, that's for sure. People talk about Polian but how do you think he would react to this? I tell you, he would go ballistic. To say that the guy had a fiery temper would be an understatement. I'm not defending Brandon, nor could I, about the Crowell situation but I will say this. I heard Crowell Sirius last week and it was more to do about the TO signing but I have to tell you, I didn't like his attitude one bit. It was like he was sneering at Buffalo and he really kind of struck me as an @zzhole. That doesn't make me accurate or Brandon right but that was my perception with this guy. After hearing him I'm not upset or disappointed that he's gone but what do I really know? I could of went on with my initial post but it was getting way too long but just with what I listed this Brandon got some good value players and he didn't really make a mistake or lose any great players for us so far but I guess that time will tell about that. I don't know, I like the guy and think that he's been doing a real good job for us so far. I think that this draft and Peters' situation will really show his meddle though.
  4. You guys are WAY overestimating Parrish's value. Everyone is forgetting the leadership that Reed displayed last year and is a much better slot receiver than Parrish. We got our starting 3 WRs in Evans, Owens and Reed. Roscoe Parrish can't crack that line-up and we have more WRs being developed and waiting in the wings. We also have more than an adequate, if not better, returner in McKelvin versus Parrish. The time to maximize your trade value is when you deal from a position of strength. Folks, you can't have it both ways. People complain because we can't make the play-offs but when we have an asset that can net us additional help in areas of need, nobody wants to relinquish it. I think that it's fair to say that you got to give to receive. If trading Roscoe can improve this team in another area than we need to do it. The crying that is going on around here about a punt returner is pathetic. Get over it people, we need more help and if trading Parrish accomplishes that for us then we need to do it.
  5. Think about this for a minute. The guy just takes over and firing Jauron as one of your first moves would not only be dicey but also possible career suicide if he didn't find the right replacement. Keep this in mind, back in December Brandon stated that, in no uncertain terms, the way we ended the season was unacceptable. Read what he said, this guy isn't going to stand pat. http://wnywatercooler.blogspot.com/2008/12...ss-brandon.html
  6. Tim, you interviewed Jason taylor and I know you must have asked him if Buffalo was one of the teams that he wouldn't want to play for. What did he say? Would he consider us? Thanks.
  7. In his first draft he did an excellent job. A lot of the players that we lost or didn't re-sign were holdovers from Donahoe/Levy and that includes Dockery. He realigned our coaches and added some shrewd, good value players. This draft will either propel us forward or we'll be wallowing again. I also like that he doesn't get rattled by players (Peters/Jackson) with contract demands, he holds strong. IF the Peters' situation can't get resolved and we are forced to trade him then it wouldn't surprise me if we dial up the Rams and make a deal with them. They are begging to get out of that #2 slot and they need an OT. If that were to happen then at least we would be getting a blue chipper at another position to replace a disgruntled player at another important position. If we can retain our #11 pick in this situation then we could be in position to select OT Michael Oher or possibly OT Andre Smith. I would like it to be Oher but I wouldn't want to use him to take over Peters' position though. I think that we would be able to realign our OL adequately by moving Langston Walker over to LT, insert Demetrius Bell at RT and use Oher at LG. If you get dealt lemons then the only thing that you can do is make lemonade.
  8. I'm not sure if people really realize just how much and how fast Russ Brandon has made changes around here. He was named COO in January of 2008 and didn't waste much time in revamping this franchise and it's roster. Let's review what he has accomplished in just a little more than a year. 1/12/08 Brandon officially named COO. John Guy and Tom Modrak were both promoted to Vice President positions. Guy is now the Vice President of Pro Personnel and Tom Modrak is now the Vice President of College Scouting. 1/16/08 Turk Schonert is named the new offensive coordinator, Sean Kugler has been promoted to offensive line coach, and Alex Van Pelt takes over Turk Schonert's old job as quarterbacks coach. Previously Van Pelt was the offensive quality control coach the past two seasons. In addition Eric Studesville has been given the extra responsibility of running game coordinator to go along with his running backs coach position. He will now have more say in the exact style of the team's running game. 1/18/08 The Bills have added Ray Brown to their coaching staff as the assistant offensive line coach. 1/28/08 Nathaniel Hackett is named the new offensive quality control coach. He replaced Alex Van Pelt who was promoted to quarterbacks coach. Hackett has held the same job with Tampa Bay the past two seasons. He is the son of Paul Hackett who has coached offenses for many years in the NFL. 2/11/08 The Bills hire former NFL defensive back Adrian White as his defensive quality control coach. This position did not exist last year under Jauron's staff. White has spent the last two summers as a volunteer coach for the Bills under the volunteer coaches fellowship program. He was the defensive coordinator for the Berlin Thunder in NFL Europe last spring. He had accepted the job of defensive coordinator and DB coach for Team Alabama in the new All-American Football league before coming to the Bills. He played six years in the NFL with the Giants, Packers, and Patriots from 1987 to 1993. He played under Jauron in 1992 in Green Bay where Jauron was the defensive backs coach. 2/14/08 The Bills released Peerless Price. 2/27/08 The Bills continued to position themselves for free agency by releasing four players. The released players were Coy Wire, Anthony Thomas, Aaron Merz, and Jerametrius Butler. 2/28/08 It's the start of free agency but the Bills secured the rights to all four of their exclusive rights free agents. They tendered offers to Dustin Fox, Corey Mace, Scott Mayle, and Tim Massaquoi. The tenders keep them in Buffalo but they aren't under contract until they sign them. The Bills also tendered a contract offer to just one of their three restricted free agents. DT Jason Jefferson was tendered a contract which means the Bills have a right to match any offer he receives in the free agent market or receive a 6th round pick in compensation. The team did not tender offers to Jim Leonhard and Shaud Williams by the 4pm deadline. They will now become unrestricted free agents at midnight. Last but not least the Bills released CB Kiwaukee Thomas. Thomas was a solid nickel corner for the last two years. 2/29/08 The Bills agree to terms with LB Kawika Mitchell and terminated the contract of Larry Tripplett. 3/1/08 The Bills sign DT Spencer Johnson and consumated a trade for DT Marcus Stroud. What a big day this was! 3/3/08 The Bills lose two players in free agency. TE Michael Gaines signs with Detroit and WR Sam Aiken inks up with the Patriots. 3/5/08 The Bills lose a second player to the Patriots. CB Jason Webster joins WR Sam Aiken in New England. 3/7/08 OL Jason Whittle re-signs with the Bills. 3/18/08 The Bills took care of one of their own free agents and re-signed Bryan Scott. Scott was signed as an injury replacement and made two starts last year. He is a solid hitter who was used a lot on safety blitzes. He's also a good tackler and can play both free and strong safety. The Bills also agreed to terms on a two year deal with veteran free agent CB William James. Formerly known as Will Peterson the former Giant and Eagle visited with the Bills last week. James struggled with injuries in 2005 and 2006 suffering from a bad back. He rounded back into shape last year startiing six games for Philadelphia. He is more of an outside defensive back and he may battle Jabari Greer for a starting job. He adds valuable, experienced depth to the defensive backfield. 3/27/08 The Bills Lose LB Josh Stamer. FA LB Josh Stamer signed with the Titans. 4/26/08 In Brandon's first drat the Bills take CB Leodis McKelvin in the 1st rd and WR James Hardy in the 2nd. 4/27/08 The Bills select DE Chris Ellis in the 3rd rd, CB Reggie Corner and TE Derek Fine in the 4th, OLB Alvin Bowen in the 5th, RB Xavier Omon in the 6th and OT Demetrius Bell, WR Steve Johnson and CB Kennard Cox in the 7th. 5/13/08 TE Kevin Everett is officially off the team. The Bills plan to honor the final year of Everett's contract and helped him get three full years of NFL service last year. 6/13/08 My son's birthday and the Bills released a statement about the shocking death of Buffalo native Tim Russert. "“The Buffalo Bills organization is devastated in hearing the news of the passing of Tim Russert. Tim, as everyone knows, was a tremendous Bills fan. He was always so proud to let people know just how much he loved our team and was such a great ambassador for Buffalo. So many times he ended his “Meet The Press” show with his patented “Go Bills!” that it became part of our Game Day morning rituals. He was a true friend and we will miss him immensely. Our sincere sympathies go out to his family and our team carries a heavy heart tonight as we mourn the loss of this great man, Buffalo’s native son and a Bills fan forever.” There will be a candlight vigil at Tim Russert park in Buffalo tomorrow night at 9pm. Flags in Buffalo have been ordered to half staff. Truly a sad day for all Buffalonians. 6/25/08 The Bills announced that they have agreed on a contract extension for Brad Butler. 6/26/08 Timothy J. Russert Highway. It sure does have a ring to it, doesn't it? The Senate approved a voice vote legislation on 6/25/08 to rename a portion of Rt. 20 by Ralph Wilson Stadium "Timothy J. Russert Highway". The bill was sponsered by both New York Senators, Chuck Schumer and Hillary Clinton. A similiar bill in the house sponsored by Rep. Brian Higgins is expected to pass in the next few days and President Bush is expected to sign it into law. Truly a great day for all Buffalonians! It's just before the start of the 2008 pre-season and this post is getting to be too long so I'm going to end it here. I just wanted to refresh people's memories about just exactly what Russ Brandon has been accomplishing since he took over. I think that he's doing a very impressive job and we shouldn't lose sight of his achievements. Things take time and he has been changing the complexion of this organization drastically if you look closer at it. I would just like to add that I believe that this is going to be a shocking, in a great way, draft for us this year. I think that Brandon is really going to wow us by some very big moves in this year's draft. Sensing that certain players like Jason Peters and Roscoe Parrish might be getting traded for pick(s)/position in the draft, I'm starting to wonder if we might be exploring some of these options so we can trade up in the draft to get LB Aaron Curry.
  9. They signed WR Bobby Ingram in the off season. He'll be the slot WR but I'm not sure if he'll handle any of the punt returns. If I remember correctly he did do some while he was in Seattle.
  10. The closest is Seattle's CB Josh Wilson who is the starting CB and full time KR but he's not the PR as far as I know.
  11. May God keep you strong Joe! It doesn't surprise me that Joe is battling the way he is. I remember when he played against San Diego with a busted up ankle in the play-offs. There's no quit in the guy.
  12. Jackson will never get past Green Bay.
  13. That is a great suggestion! Deuce would be perfect for us. Nice job!
  14. It's alright murra, no offense taken. I love this board, there is always a wide spectrum of opinions and it makes for a great read, which is what I'm looking for. I politely have to disagree with you. Here are New England's picks in this year's draft. They have picks #23, #34, #47, #58, #89, #97, #124, #170, #199, #207 and #234. Buffalo's 4th rd pick is #110. Currently we still have Peters and any additional picks can't be counted on at this time. I would like to discuss DE Jason Taylor for a minute. It's not that I believe that we would or could sign him but if Thurman Thomas really wants to be an ambassador for Buffalo then I would like to take this time to challenge him to step forward and try to mediate on our behalf. Taylor is not wanting to play just for the money. That is way he's not with the Redskins, he wants to earn it, be on a team that can compete and also wants to be a contributor. Supposingly his first choice is to return to the Dolphis but I get the feeling that this relationship is onesided. I believe that he is wanting to but the Miami brass is heisitant. Hopefully that's accurate and holds up. Once that reunion doesn't materializes Taylor will have to consider other teams if he wants to play. Obviously New England is rumored to be the heavy favorite but what if the very thing that they represent is the very thing that stands in the way of him joining them? Taylor is the kind of player, and is in the position, to just want to play for the best reason and that is for the love and integrity of the game/team. Oh the Patriots can offer the great chance of winning a championship but because Taylor's career has been in the AFC East he knows, just like us, what the Patriots are really about. He knows about the obvious spygate and he also knows about the suspect/dirty play of some of their players like Wilfork, Seymour and other Patriot players. Let's keep in mind that some of his past teammates like Welker, Morris and Izzo were lured to New England. This will have one of two effects. Either it favors the Patriots of getting Taylor or it just might not be as appealing to him to play and help a career long nemisis win another championship and allow them to "steal" another player to help their cause, especially against his former team. I can't help but believe that there has to be some kind of resentment towards New England and to be totally fair that could also apply to Buffalo as well but I hope not. I believe that traditionally during Taylor's career Buffalo has done nothing but exemplify class and integrity. I will say that the way our fans might have impressed him throughout the years does concern me though. We might have been a little too passionate maybe? Yikes! If Taylor were to consider Buffalo then what hasn't helped us so far might just come into play for us now and that is playing for a very passionate, college like atmosphere franchise who really needs someone like Taylor. Add in that once again Jauron's integrity and demeanor could be a difference maker to someone like Taylor. This is why I would like to see Thurman to step in and try to mediate on our behalf. Now on to another aspect that I think that we should be more aware of and pay attention to. It's been no secret that the last few years that our STs have been sparkling but there has been a modification to kick-off returns this year that I think that will impact the effectiveness of our returns. On kickoffs, no blocking wedge of more than two players will be allowed. A 15-yard penalty will go to a violating team. My point is that while it's great that we pride ourselves on great STs, I think that we need to not rely so much on this aspect for great field position but instead for us to really fortify our defense and offense. I know that it sounds remedial but really think about this. It's overdue, we need to make the other parts (especially defense) of our team dominant, not just our STs. Btw, I want to throw out a sleeper for everybody at DT. Here's a couple of links to watch. They are both 10 minutes long and I'm not expecting anybody to watch them all the way thru, I know I didn't, but I think that you'll enjoy the first few minutes of each though. I'd like to see the Bills take a shot on a player like this in the 6th or 7th rd. I know that they did on Ah You and I wasn't too crazy about him but I do like the concept though. As far as the Bills restructuring Marcus Stroud's contract, I don't believe that it had anything to do with showing Jason Peters anything but purely it was just an economic move. Expecting 2011 to be an uncapped year and Stroud being just on the other side of his peak, it was a way to stabilize this position for the next couple of years. I do believe that it's imperative to capitalize Stroud while we have him with his future successor now or at the very least have another DT playing next to him that greatly compliments him. We might have that DT (McCargo?) right now but not that I'm aware of.
  15. Here's an interesting article on OTs and pass rushing DEs. Out of the top 100 players on the all-time sack list less than 50% were first-round picks and, more surprising than that, less than 25% were top ten draft picks. According to Bill Polian LTs are much more coveted than pass rushers. I read some posts a few days ago where some were paraphasing Polian as saying that outside of QB, the DE position is the most important position. While that may be true, it looks like Polian is willing to make concessions when it comes to drafting them. http://www.heraldonline.com/247/story/1248046.html
  16. Oops, how right you are. I screwed that one up. I was listening to it on Sirius radio and totally messed that up. The principle of applying pressure to the current team is accurate but the I totally hammered the timeline aspect of it. Sorry. Here's a link that clearly explains it. Come back when you have time, I would love to talk about a couple of this topics. http://football.calsci.com/FreeAgency.html
  17. No doubt that Parrish is an exciting punt returner but he is expensive commodity, we have plenty of WRs and our STs are a strength. I think that we stand a good shot of using some of our late rd pick(s) on depth/ST type players. It could even be a UDFA with speed that comes from a smaller school that could fill that duty. Some people assume that McKelvin would handle all of our returns but I'm not one of them but I do believe that the Bills will keep him involved to a certain degree.
  18. First off let's talk about the Bills. I believe that they sure did telegraph what they are going to do in the draft. Not only did they cut our starting LG but they also got rid of our primary TE. Luckily these are 2 positions that aren't early 1st rd selections in this year's draft. One could argue that a starting G could be worth an early rd pick but this is a draft tha is heavy in OL and a quality G could be taken in the 2nd rd. As BeastMode54 pointed out in an earlier post the versatility of Hangartner gives us the insulation of being able to address our need on the OL without fear. here's some of the ideas and topics that I would like to comment on. First, the Bills will trade Roscoe Parrish on draft day to the Seattle Seahawks. The 'Hawks lost their slot receiver Bobby Ingram during free agency to the Chiefs, Nate Burleson had a torn ACL and is practicing with a brace on his surgically repaired knee at the 'Hawks minicamps and Deion Branch had his knee scoped at the end of last year. That guy can't stay healthy and the receiving corp last year was thin AND exposed. Hasselbeck wasn't available himself and if Matt Stafford is still available when they pick then expect Seattle to take him at the #4 pick. I just recently thought that they would draft CB Malcolm Jenkins but it looks more and more like the Seahawks are going to bring back CB Ken Lucas. Jason Peters will not be traded. In light of Dockery being released, signing TO and Lynch with a possible suspension, the Bills need everybody that they got on the OL. If the Bills trade down (Detroit's #20?) then I would like to see them draft DT Peria Jerry. If not then LB Brian Cushing would be a good safe pick. I'm also not disounting, nor would I be disappointed, if the Bills opted for DE Aaron Maybin as an alternate for Cushing at the #11 pick. I'm not hedging, I'm just stating what would make sense. Look for the Carolina Panthers to sign JP Losman after the draft. They don't put a lot of emphasis on high profile QBs and Losman could be the kind of player that they feel that they could further develope during Jake Delhomme's twilight. I expect Donte Whitner to have a HUGE year, escially in the turnover dept. The top 5 out of 7 players with interceptions last year were safeties and 4 of the 5 were free safeties. The new position change is going to compliment Whitner greatly. The Patriots have 11 total picks and has nowhere near that many roster spots available. New England may very well be the biggest X-factor in the draft from a wheeling-and-dealing standpoint. It wouldn't surprise me to see them trade up with some of those picks for just a couple of quality defenders. The Bengals just signed DT Tank Johnson. He'll benefit from playing in a 4-3 much more than Dalls' 3-4. I mention this because this should make B.J Raji slide a bit more in the draft. OT Andre Smith is probably the right fit for Cincinnati. Green Bay might be tempted to take him at the #9 spot but they'll chose Tyson Jackson when it comes time. If he is still available when Denver is on the clock then the Broncos will jump all over him. Do you realize that if the Bills stand pat and don't accumalate any more extra picks than by the time they make their fourth selection the Patriots will already have made 6 selections? The Rams are rumored to be willing to trade out of the #2 overall pick and the 49'ers are posturing by scheduling visits with QBs Mark Sanchez and Josh Freeman. Did you know that teams wait until the draft is over and the regular season nears before they make a run on RFAs? The reason being is to wait and see who spent their money on draft picks, current players that were restructured and FA signings. Having just 7 days to match the offers puts a lot of stress on the teams and the chances of them passing becomes greater. Now, let's talk.
  19. It's a great economic move. he's now signed thru 2011 which is an uncapped year. No way. This signing has no impact on Peters. Look at the the Redskins, they always found a way to get around the cap. Be nice! We're all Bills' fans here, let's not lose sight of that. I wouldn't be too surprised if the Bills trade down and take DT Peria Jerry to compliment Stroud. Jerry plays violently and could be the next Tommie Harris. The problem is that the ONLY team I see Buffalo down with would be the Detroit Lions. We should all hope that the Lions take OT jason Smith with their 1st pick and then want to trade up with their second 1st rder (#20) to grab a QB (Strafford or Sanchez).
  20. Nice, nice post, this is very insightful. I don't know if this is actually what the Bills' braintrust is thinking but I like the flexibility.
  21. It's that time of the year to take shots from around the league. Every year it's always a big disappointment on the lack of movement during the draft and trades just prior to it but this year seems different than other years past. There already has been shocking movement in the league so far this year. Dallas cutting TO and then Buffalo promptly signing him was a shocker and if that wasn't enough the Broncos trade their Pro Bowl/franchise QB. There seems to be a bevy of teams with new management changing their teams' defensive schemes. All this compiled makes me excited to see what is going to happen during this year's draft. Before this draft is over I think that there will be several surprising moves made. Here's taking a stab at it, feel free to add your own prognostications. First off the Bills WILL re-sign LT Jason Peters just before the draft. Staying with the Bills I'll go on record that they will NOT trade down in the draft and will select DE Aaron Maybin with their first pick at #11. The Lions WILL trade out of the #1 pick overall with the Eagles. It will take both of the Eagles 1st rd picks and then some. Philadelphia then selects OT Jason Smith. The Rams stay put and select OL Eugene Monroe. The Chiefs follow suit and take LB Aaron Curry but they do trade off DT Glenn Dorsey to the Atlanta Falcons for their 1st rd pick at #24. At the #24 pick the Chiefs select DE/OLB/TE Connor Barwin. Vrable mentors this kid and it's the New England Chiefs from here on out. Here's a shocker. the Seahawks trade off Matt Hasselbeck to the Redskins for QB Jason Campbell straight up. Holmgren is gone and old Matty is aging. New HC Jim Mora is looking to put his own stamp on this franchise and in order to beat the Cardinals in the NFC West, the Seahawks need a strong secondary. Based on this the 'Hawks select CB Malcolm Jenkins. Campbell's relationship is in the toilet after Washington did everything they could to trade this poor bastard off to Denver for Cutler. When that trade fell thru you have another disgruntled QB, it's time for him to go, besides HC Jim Zorn knows Hasselbeck well and he fits Zorn's WCO. Cleveland stays put at their slot and selects DE/OLB Brian Orakpo but that doesn't mean they stay put. Say good bye to Braylon Edwards, he's off to New York in a Giant way. They get the Giants' 2nd rd pick at #45. Wait, hold the phone! Mangini avoids a QB controversey and really purges this roster. Cleveland pulls off a New York daily double and trades off QB Derek Andersen to the New York J-E-T-S, J-E-T-S, J-E-T-S for their 2nd rd pick at #52. The Browns now have stockpiled 6 first day picks at #5, #45, #52, #60, #91 and #100. Now you know why they call him Mangenius. LOL! Up next at #6 is the Cincinnati Bengals. What kind of draft would this be if the Bengals didn't take a colorful prospect? They have two to choose from in OT Andre Smith and B.J. Raji. Hmm, fatty vs fatty. Well Raji's fatty might cost him a suspension down the road so I'll say that the Bengals go with Andre Smith. Al Davis comes out of his crypt and realizes that Javon Walker is a quitter. Michael Crabtree is just as big and physical, the only difference is he has heart. Crabtree is the next Raider WR but only he's a real one. Get ready because this is one wild draft. The Jacksonville Jaguars desperately need a WR after spending mega money on another spineless ex-Raider WR in Jerry Porter. If Porter wasn't embarassing enough the Jaguars followed that disaster up by also trading for Troy Williamson, another gutless WR. What a tandem! They finally smarten up and trade their 1st rd pick for the league's most fearless WR Anquan Boldin. The Cardinals also send their 4th rd pick (#131) to even this trade out. Keep in mind that the Cardinals pick at the bottom each rd because of their Super Bowl appearance. Their 4th rder is really almost a 5th rder. The Cardinals then use the #8 pick on DE Everette Brown It's Green Bay's turn and they are one of the teams that are changing from a 4-3 to a 3-4 defense. LB Aaron Kampman is on the trading block and DE Tyson Jackson will be the versatile player that they are looking for. So far no QB has been taken. It's like last year when all the WRs slid to the 2nd rd. or later. Here's where the first one goes to the 49'ers and it will be Georgia's QB Matthew Stafford. As much as HC Mike Singletary likes QB Shaun Hill he can't afford to pass up a potential franchise QB like Stafford. Denver has no interest in a QB, Orton is going to be a pleasant surprise, besides Denver is another team that is switching their defensive scheme from a 4-3 to 3-4. They have plenty of positions and holes to fill but this is where they start and get their NT in B.J. Raji. This is the last one for now and it's a solid move for the Redskins. They get Mark Sanchez, the heir apparent to Hasselbeck, to fall right into their lap at the #13 pick. Whew, this is a lot of work! If you find this amusing then I'll finish it tomorrow but if you don't then blast away and I'll spare you the rest.
  22. Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE for us to get the #21 and #53 picks for Peters but Philly is frugal and I think getting them to pay that would be pretty hard to do. I don't think that you're wrong though, Peters should be worth a #8-#12 pick based on his talent and potential as a LT.
  23. Who really cares what this guy thinks? It's coming from a player who didn't even get a signing bonus from Green Bay. Yeah, he's real irreplaceable!
  24. Me too. If the two 2nd rders weren't enough then I wouldn't want Buffalo to pay much more. We have other important needs and our 1st rder at #11 is much too valuable to us and for him. If we made a trade with Peters and part of it was that we got a late 1st rder for him then that would be the most that I would like to see Buffalo part with for him.
