I will say this, after reading that article, could Buffalo be keeping it on the lowdown about taking Pettigrew with the #11 pick? In the last 48 hours it has been rumored that the Bills are going after a DE with their first pick and it's not Robert Ayers. Could they really be going after Pettigrew and just want to trade back a few slots to pick up extra pick(s) and get pettigrew at a better value? If so about the Bills really wanting Pettigrew all along, then maybe this was part of the Jason Peters' decision, knowing that they are going to take him and he would help offset losing Peters and being able to compensate the OL.

I know that it doesn't sound like a big signing but I would like to point out that the Chiefs have just signed TE Sean Ryan. He's a blocking TE who was someone that Bill Parcels has signed in Dallas and Miami. I believe that this gets Tony Gonzalez closer to getting traded to Atlanta. I really don't believe that the Eagles are all over Pettigrew, contrary to popular belief. I think that the DL is of more of a priority for them at this time. They have TE Brent Celek and Matt Schobel (Aaron's brother). If they were looking at a TE, I would expect him to be more of the pass catching type to replace LJ Smith. After thinking about it in depth more I would be more concerned if the Eagles were to trade for Boldin. The Cardinals are in much more of a need of a TE like Pettigrew than the Eagles.

I think that your top ten predictions are pretty good except for KC does or picks and the Jaguars. If KC stays put it is believed that they are falling all over themselves with this Tyson Jackson. Ideally they are looking to down a few spots and take him but either way, they're pretty enarmored with the guy. I lso think that Jacksonville will be going after a WR/OL and Raji falls to Green Bay, who jumps all over him. I like that Cincy pick, A LOT! Monroe just might fall to Jacksonville.

The teams that would be in the running for someone like Pettigrew are the Eagles (#21), Falcons (#24) and possibly the Dolphins (#25). I can't imagine Philly going after Pettigrew, especially if they trade for Anquan Boldin. Even if they don't trade for Q then I believe that they'll address their DL. There is some serious rumblings going on that the Falcons are still trying to work out a trade for TE Tony Gonzalez. That would increase Buffalo's chances tremendously if this trade goes thru. I say the Dolphins but that's just because Parcels likes jumbo OL and rugged guys at the TE position but other than that I truly feel that it's really just down to the Eagles and Falcons. Now, if only if the Falcons could secure that trade for Gonzo.

I just don't think that we needed to get rid of Peters but instead pay him so we wouldn't have another disruption before our draft. He's a great player and he was on our team, to go and have to fill another self inflicted hole is getting tiresome. Philadelphia has got themselves one heck of a LT.

Peters Press Conference in Philly

Actually outside of that retarded remark of thinking about his contract after getting beat, Peters really didn't say anything out of order. It killed me to read that it blew his mind that we traded him. Dammit, why couldn't this thing get worked out?! I think that this thing must have gotten way out of hand and gotten to the point where there was very poor communication in the end. I think egos on both sides played too much a part of it also. http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/news/Sto...?story_id=17673 -

I can take the comments, it's the complaining that you're doing about somebody posting about a Bills's player on a Bills' forum that's aggravating. Either contribute to the subject matter or beat it. -
A request: Please share your take on the Peters trade

Hey Tim, I'm not sure that my response is going thru. I keep hitting send but it doesn't clear. Do I need to try something else? -

Don't miss the point Boone. -
Here's a novel idea. Do you think that Mike Williams will pay back some of those millions the Bills paid him because he didn't play up to expectancy?

Then he shouldn't have signed a contract. Let me ask you this, if he played like a bum under his current contract, do you think that he would have given some of that money back? -
You know what, you got a lot of nerve for saying this. THE GUY SIGNED A CONTRACT! He gave his word when he did that. Where is the honor? I never signed a contract but I don't need to. When I give someone my word I keep it. No ifs, ands or buts about it. I'm not a fan because I'm compensated, I'm a fan because this team means something to me. I'm not a fan of this team because of the good times and I don't run away when decisions are made that I don't agree with. I'm not bitter because he wanted more money or was unhappy. I have anger when he drew a line in the sand and was unwavering about the terms. He was unrelenting when he wanted to change the terms that he agreed to! He didn't give a sh-- about you, me, this franchise or this community that was behind him not once but twice! The Bills were the ones who employed him when nobody else did. It was the Bills who re-signed him when nobody else did. It was the Bills who converted him to another position and developed him, and paid him millions of dollars while they did it. Most importantly it was us, the fans, who gave him the most important reward, our hearts. It was thousands of blue collar people who break their @$$ in supporting him and others on this team with loyalty, dedication and commitment. We the fans asked nothing of him but to be one of us and maybe give back just a fraction of what we gave him. "Grow the fuc# up!" ??!!! You got some balls for saying that! I'd tell you that maybe you should get your priorities straight but it doesn't appear that you have any. I didn't have to "think" about this before I posted it or to make "a better read", I'm posting it because I'm a Bills' fan and it's coming straight from the heart. Maybe you should take some of your own advice.

Good call, I just watched it and it fits Peters to a tee. -
If the Bills were to trade Jason Peters and drafted a OT
Tipster19 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks Tonawanda Troy, I appreciate that. While I believe that economics played a huge part, I also believe that the Bills truly did want to keep Peters but when you factor in the dollars that it would take to sign him AND his attitude with him possibily not giving it his all after signing, then I think that it was probably in our best interest to cut bait with this guy. -

I heard one of the annoucers on Sirius radio last night question why didn't the Bills get one of the Eagles' OL back like Winston Justice. I thought that was a point and now I'm wondering why they didn't either. -

Where did you hear about these other teams having interest in Parrish? Do you have any other information? -
How about this? Maybin with the #11 pick, trade the #28 pick to KC for DT Glenn Dorsey and take OG Duke Robinson, who has played some LT in college, with our 3rd rd (#75) pick. I don't see the Broncos interested in Parrish while they have Brandon Stokely in the slot but I do agree that whatever pick (4th rder?) that we get for Roscoe should be used to secure a trade for Scheffler.

How about the malcontents?! It's obvious that Peters didn't want to be here. What he signed for, and how fast, and what we were offering wasn't that big of a spread. That fat bastard flew out of here faster than you can shake a stick at. There's a thing called chemistry also and Hogzilla was all about himself. Good riddance.
