  1. The play-offs would be a quantum leap for this team.
  2. He was talking about how much success he had in turning losing teams around. He then stated that one of the first mindsets he would implement is that he wasn't looking for players to be better than what they were but instead he just wanted them to be the best that they could be. Simple but profound in my opinion. I have to question not only our coaching but the mindset of our team which is directly related. I think that Schottenheimer would be an excellent coach for our perennial underachievers and if Jauron gets the boot then this is the guy that I would like to replace him with.
  3. I guess we'll find out what TO thinks about this whole thing on his reality show. He's got to be laughing at them for getting rid of him for Williams. Personally I was never a player for "The Legend".
  4. Another fine fine move by Jerry Jones. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/...r-roy-williams/
  5. I'm just wondering, what was the purpose of posting this? I think that it's bs to put up a link to a video to ridicule this kid. He seems to be very polite and he wears our colors, so why in the world would anyone who is a Bills' fan would be the one to put him on display to be humiliated? This board sure has been spiraling into the toilet the last couple of years.
  6. The Runyan/Eagles' situation reminds me an awful lot of the Mark Tauscher/Packers' situation. both clubs are in a wait and see mode on these two players but Tauscher could be that LT that we need.
  7. I would love to Buffalo sign him, especially because of his mentality and experience but if there were ever a chance of that happening I guess there is a few big factors that would have to be cleared. First, could he allow himself to play for another team and leave Philly. The other couple of factors that would have to be determined is what his relationship is like with Tom Modrak and TO. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp...ce=NFLHeadlines Ah, one could only wish!
  8. Just kidding. Farve is too much of a drama queen. I don't believe that Buffalo will sign ANY big names this year and chance taking the spotlight off of TO.
  9. If Fitzpatrick looks horrible in the first few preseason games then I wonder if Trent Green would be willing to come out of retirement. Then again if we were to be willing to talk a QB out of retirement.....there's always Farve. I'd throw the Niagra Falls at him to wear the Buffalo blues!
  10. Nice find. I didn't see that article but other than Dungy saying that the Colts don't need any QB help it's what I thought he might have felt about Vick and his redemption.
  11. I think that any team that does sign Vick will be one that is in a position of strength and not a team that is desperate. I also believe that it would be an organization that has not only the owner approving such an acquisition but more importantly a GM and coach who are in agreement. Although Tony Dungy is no longer the coach of the Colts he is still in high esteem with GM Bill Polian and owner Jim Irsay. As many of you already know that Dungy has been counseling Vick, it's conceivable that for Dungy to be involved with Vick as much as he's currently been, it indicates to me that Dungy not only wants to help Vick but that he also has a belief in him. Tony Dungy is a Christian and a good man. Seeing him trying to rebuild and help restore a man and his life like Michael Vick's doesn't surprise me at all. I'm not suggesting that there is anything lacking with Peyton Manning or that Vick would be any kind of threat to his job but adding Vick to an already lethal offense would be almost mindboggling. Manning isn't the most mobile QB and having Vick run some certain packages like the Wildcat would be very interesting to say the least. In addition to not having Marvin Harrison on the roster I believe that Vick would help compensate for some of that offensive loss. I'm not sure if Vick could be used like a Reggie Bush type player or not but could you imagine using Vick on offense in a domed stadium? It would use Vick's best attributes if he were to go to a domed stadium and/or a team that plays on astroturf. It wouldn't hurt also to have an offensive weapon like Vick on your team if and when you have to go up against Belichick's Patriots. It will be interesting to see where Vick does land up. I just hope that he doesn't land up in our division and hopefully not even in our conference but I guess I would be asking too much for that to happen.
  12. I'm wondeing if the no huddle helped play a part in the Bills' decision to trade Jason Peters this offseason. Can the no huddle help overcome some of the inexperience of our OL? Any input on the pros and cons on running this type of offense with our young OL would be appreciated. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-3...ab-c16f5d7c8fed
  13. Here, maybe this will help. This is the entire episode. If you don't want to watch it all then drag it to it's 3rd and 4th window, it will show both rounds. Keep in mind that the bully was allowed to wear headgear and Westbrook was able to rock him with either hand. Like him or not the guy is a beast. http://www.mmamoz.com/bully-beatdown-video...ook-episode-two
  14. It's a pretty entertaining show hosted by Mayhem Miller. In it a bully is challenged to enter the ring with a professional cage fighter (MMA) for $10,000. This 6' 7" fool got into the ring with 6' 3" (223 lbs) Michael Westbrook. There's two 3 minute rounds. The first round is grappling only. The bully starts with $5,000 but every time he taps out he loses a grand. The second round is for $5,000 also and is full contact but the winner takes the whole 5 grand. Any money lost by bully in either round goes to the victim(s). To say that Westbrook is chiseled would be an understatement. He plummeled the bully in the second round with some of the hardest shots I ever witnessed. Westbrook is one nasty guy and now I realize just how much RB Stephen Davis was overwhelmed when Westbrook pounded him senseless several years back.
  15. I don't know if any would be able to help the Bills though. I guess there could be LB or two who could help fortify us. I'm curious on seeing who gets released in the next couple of weeks. This should be interesting.
  16. The martial arts helped Andre Tippet become a HOFer. I hope that it can help someone on our DL to accomplish the same.
  17. I'm not talking about for the Bills but for another team that employs a 3-4 defense. I'm not so sure about that. I started thinking about this when I was reading about Green Bay's DE Aaron Kampman. They converted him to an OLB because they are switching to a 3-4 defense this year. I'm not sure how good Kelsay would be in this scheme but was wondering if he would be better suited for it than our 4-3 defense.
  18. Whenever the Chroise ***** he withers the grass, The whole league trembles when he shakes his ass.
  19. There lies your answer. Either he's going to be a bust or a good to great RDE. I think the latter. Maybin is hopefully going to be the replacement for an aging Aaron Schobel but as of now I think that we can expect him to be a 3rd down pass rusher from the LDE position. I just posted about Kelsay possibily being better suited as a OLB in a 3-4 defense but I should have read your post first because you're right about Maybin not being a LDE.
  20. Believe it or not but Kelsay is pretty good and consistent at tackling runners and if I recall accurately he did make that interception against Dallas on that MNF game so he just might be decent at defending the TEs on passing plays also. Although the LDE in a 4-3 defense isn't suppose to be the sackmaster that the RDE is but they are suppose to tie up the OTs and I don't think that Kelsay is physical enough for that. Maybe Kelsay will still land up getting traded to one of these 3-4 defensive teams.
  21. I think that you better learn proper grammar before you start flapping your mouth. The way that he used it was improper grammar so it was misspelt. Let me guess, you two were classmates.
  22. The biggest obstacle for Buffalo in hosting the Super Bowl is the weather but does anyone realize what the weather was like in London in the first week of February? it wasn't much different than what Buffalo has been labeled with. Why is it alright to play the Super Bowl overseas in inclement weather and not in the 32 cities that actually support this league. Just asking. http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2009/feb/02/s...on-travel-chaos
  23. Am I suppose to respond to this? I live in Florida but you're more than welcomed to send me a private message. Do you ever make a thread or do you constantly just get mouthy and bash on other people's posts? Don't take it like that. There's no problem with disagreeing or even thinking a subject matter is outlandish but why the venom? Some people just abuse others and there's no need for that. People can claim whatever they want but I highly doubt that a big percentage of things said to others on this board would be repeated face to face.
  24. I'm just curious, I wonder how much mouth you would have in person. I bet it wouldn't be nearly as much as it is on the internet.
  25. Hey thanks for your input JR. I realize the weather/climate plays a major role in this but there should be equality in dispersing this revenue to the cities that do hold franchises. Bad weather doesn't stop fans from going to games. I don't think championship games should always be played in controlled elements, it kind of takes away from the game and how this league was founded. How novel would it be to see teams play a blood-n-guts type of game in a championship? What is wrong with that? The NFC Central was a division that was built on this type of game. I think that the Buffalo-Miami game that was played up in Toronto last year was probably one of the biggest injustice that the Bills' franchise has suffered in quite some time. As far as the negative comments regarding this thread, it mostly came from "rookies" who have been on this board for less than a year. I take it with a grain of salt but when they start trying to get personal than enough is enough. I don't understand to this day why members of this board that have such distain for a post bother to even comment. To agree or disagree is one thing but to be a derogatory @$$hole is another. I guess when their parents or wives let them on the internet they feel big.
