1st Round Pick for WR Wallace???
Tipster19 replied to Don't stop billievein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we end up with Super Mario I'd do it in a heartbeat! -
This made me cry. Although writing this reply is going to make me late for work, I don't care I need to take a stance on this whole free agency thing. Robert Meachum can kiss my ass, I wasn't thrilled about him personally but professionally I give props to Buddy Nix & Co, because they know more about this whole thing than I do. If Meachum is one of the pieces that we need than I wanted us to sign him. As far as Mario goes, yeah I want us to get him.....bad but my loyalty isn't to him when it comes down to the brass tacks. It's to me and the many others who made up our region. We are not second best nor should we feel embarrassed if he doesn't sign with Buffalo. I give kudos to our guys, they are giving it our best shot and I'm proud of them for it. Regardless of the outcome we will be contenders this year. We have a great core and a ton of resources to add to it but most of all we have players who WANT and are HAPPY to be here. I want to take this time to thank them specifically for, well, being one of US. Although Nix, Brandon, Gailey and others who make up our front are "outsiders", they have a great pride about us and I'm sure that, especially if Williams doesn't sign, that this will not be forgotten and their resolve will only deepen to find alternatives to get this franchise fully back on track. I'm going to work now and yeah until this whole thing plays out it will be on my mind heavily there is going to be a difference. I'm not going to worry about it or feel ashamed or embarrassed if Mario doesn't sign with us. Needless to say I'll be pissed but instead of being disenchanted with our team I'm going to be more solidified about them. That's because we are a bunch of sick bastards but we sure are loyal SOBs! LOL! I'm proud of who I am, who my children are and who my former neighbors are. I live in SW Florida now and let me tell you something, they sure don't make 'em like they do back home! I sure hope we get Mario but even if we don't we're gonna be ok, I believe in our leaders and our players and we WILL live to see another day and go forward from this. Why? Because like Tim Russert said, it's our make-up, it's who we are and we're damn proud of it. Have a good day folks, I'll be thinking of ya today with a smile and a BIG sense of pride.

Mario Williams: Officially a Buffalo Bill
Tipster19 replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mario is in Buffalo right now! The NFL channel just showed a twitted picture of Super Mario and Buddy Nix getting off the plane. Oh man, I sure hope that there's a big turn out of players and fans greeting this guy, showing him what Western New York is all about! Go Bills! -

Mario Williams and Mike Wallace. Good bye to our 1st rd pick in the draft but our team will be looking sterling. -

Buddy Nix did say on his interview today that there are going to be some surprise releases today due to their salary cap. I would have to think that he would know San Diego's situation better than most people in the league. One can only hope! Go Bills! -
I'd like Mike Wallace vs Vincent Jackson.

Troll this board??! I'm not sure where you are trying to go with this but I can guarantee that I've been a die hard Bills' fan for decades. The purpose of a 1st rd pick is to use it on the best player available. There's a reason why Pittsburgh tendered Wallace with a 1st rd pick, he's a VERY good player! Not only is he one of the fastest WR in the league he is also one tuff guy. Jackson is the only other WR in free agency that comes remotely close to him. It makes me laugh that it's alright to draft a WR who has never even played a single snap in the NFL but that it would be a mistake to use it on one that has already proven that he can play in this league. Get real. -

I'm a bit surprised that people keep on mentioning words and references like "value" and "bargain". Haven't we had enough of mediocrity? We've paid our dues, we now have a good core for a team, it's time to add game breakers, blue chippers and difference makers. In the draft, especially at the #10 spot, we want that type of player. That's what Mike Wallace is. I'd rather have a proven commodity and not risk another Maybin type pick. Having such a value pick should provide a value player. Once again, that's what Mike Wallace is. -
He's a cold weather WR who has played hurt. I think that he's a better fit for Buffalo than Jackson. Either way I'm hoping that the Bills fill the need for another WR in free agency rather than thru the draft.

is Justin Blackmon worth moving up to get?
Tipster19 replied to EldaBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would love to have Blackmon but I don't want to see Buffalo trade up anybody. With that being said here's a nice video on him that I saw a few months back. http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=7023005 -
I haven't been around for awhile, haven't paid a lot of attention this last year unfortunately but I'm starting to catch up lately and I'm excited about the direction of this franchise. I'm looking forward to another great draft, a few good free agents and hoping for a whole lot less injuries this year! This kind of reminds me in some ways of 1987. The team/franchise were rounding the corner and things were looking very optimistic. Of course it was founded because we were a play-off team for the next several years. Man, I hope history repeats itself! Lol! Go Bills!

Guy at work's theory about the Cincinnati refs

Now THAT'S funny! -
Wow, that was fantastic! That's EXACTLY the kind of article that I love to read! Thanks for posting it.

Like Namath just did.

Sorry, I missed that game. Could you tell me what happened?

I just caught the Bills' game on NFL Replay. I live in Florida and the game wasn't aired down here so I tried to stream the game on my laptop but caught a virus. I loved it seeing each Bills' player jumping into the stand after each touchdown but when Mankins was going ballistic towards the end of the first half after the interception, did anyone catch Demetrius Bell fly off the bench and try to go after him?! I couldn't imagine Jonas Jennings doing that! It got even better when Fred Jackson was yanking #30 (sorry, I'm doing this from my IPhone and it's too difficult to look up his name) off of Fitpatrick. For the old-timers like me it was reminiscent of Otis Talyor pulling players off of Len Dawson. I love the attitude and unity that these young "no makers" are showing! Keep it up fellas, you're making us feel good again being Bills' fans! Go Bills!

Hey Darin, you ever get nose bleeds from sitting on that high horse? Just asking.
-
Next stop, Cincinnati! Go Bills!
-
Berman, the greastest Bills' voice out there! Thanks for loving our team and keeping them revelant!
-
Thanks so much for that video! What great memories it brought back. I'm thankful that my prime as a Bills' fan was during that era. I'm ready for my twilight with these new "Brand X" kids that are now our Bills. I hope that people keep on not knowing who these new kids are and that they keep on bringing the wood as they shock the world! Lol!
-
Lol! That's hysterical! What is not funny is that the Bills in the last decade or so almost make it a desire.

Top 10 reasons - What it mean to be a true Bills fan?!
Tipster19 replied to Brock's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have a few reasons of my own. #11) Staying a loyal fan year after year, decade after decade, always hanging on to eternal hope that maybe once, just once that the Buffalo Bills can reach the top of the mountain victorious. #12) Proudly wearing your meager Buffalo Bill cap as a teenager through all the adversity of those horrible years, never giving up. #13) Growing up, getting married and having sons and then dressing them up in Buffalo Bills' pajamas on Christmas day and passing along your love and passion for your team to them. #14) Seeing your kids grown and married, starting their own families when all the while you find yourself alone in that elusive quest for a championship still hanging on, staying optimistic each and every preseason. #15) Never apologizing for the love affair that you so freely chose in believing in your team so many years ago. Still hanging on and still believing in miracles. #16) Wondering if you made a mistake in choosing this avenue but then realizing that all those years that you spent, all those dreams that you dreamed and all that love that you poured into them wasn't wasted. They weren't wasted because when one looks back and reflects on their life he sees that no matter where those "little boys in pajamas" are in this world, no matter what is happening in their lives, no matter who is in their lives, when they see, hear and know of the Buffalo Bills, they think of you. Wow, the Bills have given me much more than I have ever given them, so needless to say that I'm a proud Buffalo Bills' fan, always have been and always will be! Go Bills!
