Right now I'm laying in a hospital bed.
Tipster19 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks guys, I REALLY appreciate your condolences. Oh, btw, my IPhone. Love it, as far as I'm concerned it's the best device ever made! -
I'm not saying this for sympathy (ok,maybe a little would be nice. Lol!) but because here I am, fresh from a mild heart attack, laying in a hospital bed with a ton of time (hopefully!) on my hands and guess what I'm mostly thinking about? These stinking Buffalo Bills and their upcoming season! And here's the kicker. I know that most of you maniacs out there would be doing the exact same thing! I have come to the conclusion that we are a bunch of sick bastards (literally) to be a Bills' fan. Here's a franchise that hasn't accomplished **** in well over a decade and here I am eternally optimistic about the upcoming season.......again, like the past several years! Lol! I hope this post comes off right and that it's not misinterpreted. I really love this team/franchise for just about the past 4 decades and I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming season, I'm hoping and expecting a BIG year for our beloved Bills! Anyways, here's the silver lining to my ****ty situation. I haven't been able to get into or follow the path of the Bills for about a year now like I have in the past due to what's been going on in my life, which in turn has probably contributed heavily to my current situation but now I can lie here and do ALL the reading and research that a die hard Bills' fan would love to do. So I guess that this is a fair warning to everyone to brace themselves for all my wild predictions, prognostications and speculations on the upcoming draft! Lol! I'd like to ask for a mulligan and not have everyone blast me because it will be coming from my best intentions, passion and love for this crazy !@#$ing franchise that I got trapped with almost 40 years ago. One last thing. Go Bills!

Justin Blackmon was in town last night
Tipster19 replied to metzelaars_lives's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would LOVE for the Bills to draft Blackmon! I'd be all for a trade up for this guy. -
As we approach the 2012 draft this quote keeps sticking in my mind. Further more Nix & Co don't seem too concern about the LT position. Well I think that not signing Meachum was a a bit of a disappointment for our front office I don't think that they are devastated by it. While LT and a 2nd WR are areas of need I don't think that it's as a high of a priority as we think that it is. In other interviews CBs were emphasized as a position of interest/priority in the administration's mindset. While not knowing what will unfold in this year's draft I find myself trying to decipher what will happen for us. Barring any trades I think that the following would make sense if it were to happen. Indianapolis-QB Andrew Luck Washington-QB Robert Griffin Minnesota-OT Matt Kalil Cleveland-RB Trent Richardson Tampa Bay-CB Morris Claiborne St Louis-WR Justin Blackmon Jacksonville-DE Quinton Coples Miami-QB Ryan Tannehill Carolina-DT Dontari Poe Buffalo-CB Stephon Gilmore I don't see the Bills drafting the available OTs and WRs at the #10 spot and the best available player and position of importance to a team points to Gilmore. I don't envision the Bills going for LB Luke Kuechlythat, especially that he doesn't play behind the line of scrimmage and this position can be addressed with a mid round pick anyways. I believe in the 2nd rd we will be looking to take a OT and in the 3rd a WR. What really concerns me the most though is what we have at the QB position. While Fitz may be more than serviceable have to question Thigpen and what else we have as a back up. Once this draft is over I would really would like to have confidence at this position but as of right now to say that I'm a little nervous about it would be an understatement.

If OT KALIL isn't taken by the VIkings
Tipster19 replied to TheKidd's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That sounds reasonable John. If he is that much of a stud (me personally I don't know that) I'd do it. I'm tired of having that one big piece missing. It's too bad that we didn't have that whole Jason Peters thing work out. Could you imagine what our team would look like if it did??!!! -
I can't wait to see Marcel and Kyle destroy a few interior offensive lines this year! I work with a guy down here in Florida that is a big time 'Bama alumni and he said that this offensive lineman (I forget his name but I can find out) said when Marcel was a freshman to look out for him because he is an absolute monster. He went on further and said that he doesn't pick up things in the weightroom but instead he picks up the weightroom! Lol! I can't wait for this year to begin! Go Bills!
-
Forget these wise asses, I applaud your enthusiasm and I agree, Dareus is a beast! Matter of fact because of your post the first new jersey that I'm going to buy this year is going to be a big blue 99! Nothing against Mario but I like that we drafted Marcel and he is truly our own. I hope that he has a phenomenal career and that he retires as a Bill. Btw, George Wilson and Stevie are a VERY close 2nd and 3rd. If I have enough money I'm gonna buy their jerseys too, all in blue. Go Bills!

Had the Bills signed Meachem...
Tipster19 replied to billsfan89's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would have liked both but I could only pick one then I'd rather have Anderson. Like Gailey said, good defense makes good offense. -
Size.

If Poe or Blackmon is there when we pick then I would love for us to just stay put and take either one of them. If not then I wouldn't be against a trade down. Seattle would be intriguing if they wanted someone at the #10 slot. I'd be interested if they traded their 1st rd pick, 3rd string QB Josh Portis and a mid round pick. I saw Portis a few times and he has some interesting intangibles. I think that he would be a great fit in a Chan Gailey offense, much better suited for us than Thigpen.

I don't know anything about him but I sure did enjoy your post, it was well written. Thanks for pointing him out, I'm gonna check him out, he sounds like quite a WR.

Who would you like to see the Bills get?
Tipster19 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's not on the list but I would be curious about WR Roy Williams. He actually had some decent production for Dallas a couple of years ago and as a 2nd WR it might just be the ticket for him. -
TEBOW!!! is a Jet! (finally)
Tipster19 replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wrong my friend. It doesn't matter if I agree or disagree with what Tebow or any other player does on the sideline. As long as it's not criminal they have a right to do what they want on the sidelines, it's THEIR workplace, we only get to be spectators of it. There's plenty that goes on with players that I don't like or agree with but I shut my mouth, once again it's their right. I don't think Tebow should be singled out, religious or otherwise. -

Just because he is exemplifying who he is and is passionate about his God (more people should be), he shouldn't be singled out for it. Other players do all kind of things to keep themselves motivated and hyped and aren't called out for it. The guy is genuine, clean living and is routinely criticized for it. What is wrong with people??!!! -

I actually feel sorry for Tebow. While I'm not impressed with his QB skills I do have a very high regard for him as a person. All he wants to do is play football and he's very passionate about it but the league is making him into a freak show. It seems like the main reason for most of the teams that may be interested in him is for the gate revenue. The capitalism of the NFL is very sickening at times. -

I totally agree. I will say that a injury just didn't start and stop with Fitz, it seemed like the injury bug went thru all our important starters, offensively and defensively. -

Also keep in mind that a player like Tebow could help offset the lack of a offensive line to some degree. -

I understand your concern but in light of Terrell Owens I think that we would be alright, especially that that was even a different administration/players and I think that are even better in those areas. I think that it's actually one of our strengths (lockerroom/chemistry). -

I could see where Tebow might be a good fit for our team. The obvious being Chan Gailey/Kordel Stewart connection. Other possible reasons would be is we already have some offensive packages that Brad Smith runs. We are at need for a #2 WR and if we were to trade for Tebow, I'm sure it would free up Smith from these packages. One of the bigger knocks on Tebow is his football intelligence, or his lack of. I think that Fitzpatrick, being a Harvard graduate, would make an excellent mentor. I also like that we are not so solid at the QB position, regardless of Fitzpatrick, and this might be a very low cost, low risk for a franchise QB of the future. Like it or not but Chan Gailey and the type of offenses that he's capable of are best suited for a player like Tebow. -
I would to have Wallace on this team but I don't think Buddy will cough up our #10 pick overall for him. I personally think that he would be a very safe pick for us. Maybe something could be worked out along the lines of us trading our 1st (#10) and our 3rd (#72) rd picks for Wallace and their 2nd rd pick (#56) or something like that. As far as the salary cap goes I would think that something could be finagled, it seems like the Redskins are always able to figure something out, even with their violations. Pittsburgh is in a pretty big rebuilding situation and having a pick in the top third of the draft might be very appealing to them if there is a certain player at a position that they want. I meant to start my previous response with that I would love to have Wallace on our team. I'm doing this from my IPhone it's difficult to proofread. Lol!

I'm sure that some team will make a run at Wallace, I'd love to add him to our team. It would also take a huge bite out of the Steelers' offense. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/19/mike-wallace-still-a-possibility-for-the-49ers/

You can expect Ocho Cinco to get cut then. I wonder if he has anything left.

Amen to that brother!

Mario Williams: Officially a Buffalo Bill
Tipster19 replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The best part of this signing is I think that I now quit cigarettes, I'm all smoked out! IMO I think that this is the 2nd biggest signing in Buffalo's history, second only to Jim Kelly. Also this firmly solidifies Buddy Nix's legacy in Buffalo. Pulling this off is Poliansque! -

I need this to end one way or another so I can get back to my life. I've catnapped for the last couple of nights and I'm starting to see doubles of everything.
