Yeah baby! Sorry, I just felt the need to say that after watching the Dave Wannestadt interview. I CAN'T WAIT to see what this defense is going to do! Go Bills!

I'm very sorry for your loss Guffalo, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Of course you're proud just to be your Father's son but I'm sure that your chest swelled just a little bit more with pride when they referred to your dad as the home town hero. May time pass and ease the pain of your loss but your dad does still lives, he lives in you. Treasure your thoughts, embrace your memories. It is bittersweet but the beauty of it is those things are personal and your dad shared them just with you. God bless.

Former Buffalo Bill Marcus Stroud retires
Tipster19 replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not that I really know what the hell I'm talking about but I remember that I had my biggest meltdown and ranted over this trade. I really wanted us to get DT Shaun Rogers at that time, not that he did anything either though. The same year the Jets got Kris Jenkins and he looked to be the better of the 3 until he got injured. Oh well, thank God we got Dareus now because he is a beast! Go Bills! -
Are we allowed to add to this list of requirements? If so I'd like to keep the spirit of this thread. A Buffalo guy is someone who..... Still gets tears in his eyes whenever he watches the wide right kick. Gets back up time after time that he, the franchise or the team gets knocked down (this one is for Tim Russert). Who never apologizes for being a life long Bills' fan but instead still clings to the ever optimistic hope that someday..... That raises his children and even though that football is not that important to them they still pull for the Bills and instantly associates them to their old man no matter where they are in this world. Who takes great pride in whatever small accomplishments the team achieves throughout the decades. Who gets a big thrill out of seeing HOF greats coming back to the community and supporting and pulling for the franchise just asmuch as the common blue collar guy who bleeds blue day in day out 365 days a year. I can go on and on but I think that things like makes up a "Buffalo Guy". Matter of fact I know someone like that. Go Bills!

Parcells Loves Freddy!!

I love this quote but after reading that article I think that I got a great idea for a Jackson jersey. How about instead of his number (22) you have .3%? Just an idea. Go Bills! -
How about Kelsay and the Ass Kickers?

Kyle Williams on Sirius NFL radio yesterday

I find KW's remarks about the weather interesting. Now that I think about it one would think that it could actually be better suited to play in colder weather from a player's viewpoint, at least comfort wise. -
Not to be heartless but I find myself having absolutely no sympathy for this guy. I wouldn't hold it against a player for working for the best contract but I didn't like the way Peters went about it. I'm sure that he has more than enough insurance so he won't be broke but I would have to think that his playing days or at least the bulk of them are going to be way behind him.

I was thinking that game also. The Ralph wiould be electric!

This comment alone impressed me the most from Zach Thomas. In it's simplicity I found it very prolific. With that being said there is unknown issues that need to be discovered and resolved in this sport. I'm not intelligent enough to know what is causing the instability of former players but I do realize that there are some very dark and underlying issues that need to be brought to light so they can be met and dealt with.

Not only is this honor is long overdue and well deserved but the timing is perfect. I don't know what unfolded over there in Indianapolis but Bill Polian is ours long before that dork Jim Irsay and the Colts. It's time to bring Bill back home where he belongs.

http://www.miamiherald.com/2012/05/13/v-fullstory/2796891/former-miami-dolphin-zach-thomas.html It really makes one think about the sport that so many fans love, especially after all these recent issues that this article touches upon. Also, I never realized how intelligent Zachary Thomas is, I always considered him just a big meathead jock. I see now how wrong I was.

Rightfully so. Buffalo really is coming full circle. Btw, here's a slogan that I've been kicking around and I think that it may be appropriate for this year. It's " Have you Herd, the stampede is on! Go Buffalo!".
-
Marino was a prime example. It's called pocket presence.

"The Buffalo Bills are going to eat!"
Tipster19 replied to ElMarko's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
eball, that's a great title to a new thread. Title it "Shh, have you Herd??!" The sub title then can be "The Stampede is on!". This would be a great thread and I only came up with it because of your response here about Shh, like we are a big secret. The honor is yours because you inspired this. -
Nice avatar eball! I'm normally on my IPhone and can't see people's avatars.

Let me just nip this in the bud before it starts getting legs! LOl! There is absolutely no ill feelings on my part and I'm very happy to know that there is none on your part Simon. I was brand new at the time and I guess that I was mostly insulted because someone would actually think that I'm a troll because I have never been nothing but passionate about my Bills. We exchanged a few private messages and I was left with feeling that you thought that I was full of **** and left me frustrated. No big deal, I have gotten over that a long time ago and it's nice to know that you don't hold any malice towards me. Btw, thanks for the beer, I'm actually having one right now! LOL! I did feel that the thread that I posted was really more to do with his mother than about Junior. Either way it doesn't matter. Let me stop because I accidently have started hijacking this poor guy's thread.
-
Thanks, I totally agree but it's because I'm not one of Simon's favorite posters. He threaten to ban me years ago when he thought that I was using other user names and that I was a troll. Truth be told was that my friend/boss is a Miami fan and was putting in false rumors, sensationalism etc on the same computer system at work. He wouldn't believe a word that I was saying and at the time I didn't want to ray out my friend. Ever since then I never felt that I got a fair shake out of this guy. Man, that felt good to get that out after all these years! Lol!

I just saw the interview with Mama Seau and to see and hear the pain of that woman just broke my heart. As a parent I can more than sympathize with the agony and horror that that woman is going thru. It was just over 2 years ago (4/7/2010) that I had to face the very real possibility of losing my youngest child (my son was 18 at the time). My son was jumped by 2 guys up in Chicago and was stabbed in his right ventricle. Needless to say that it was miraculous that he survived but that doesn't change the dark, frightening night that I spent trembling praying to God for his Mercy. The difference between Mama Seau and me was that I had hope, unfortunately she doesn't. What sustained me was relying on God, regardless of the outcome or results. I was fortunate, extremely fortunate and I haven't forgotten or taken that for granted. My understanding is that Mama Seau is a church woman and I'm thankful for that. I believe and hope that she has great faith and that it will get her thru this nightmare that she is experiencing. If in fact this was a suicide then it only deepens her horror and it has more than likely has shaken her foundation. As one parent to another I feel for her and my thoughts, prayers and heart are with her. I know what the power of prayer can do because I have experienced it first hand so tonight I ask that my Buffalo brethens keep this lady in your prayers. May God have mercy on your soul Junior.

looks like we have to cut kelsey
Tipster19 replied to superbills315's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While that may be true I still think that the Bills haven't officially retired too many numbers and that would include Bruce's #78. -

Tipster19 replied to superbills315's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just a couple of things here. First, I don't think that Bruce's #78 is retired. Matter of fact I don't Buffalo has hardly any numbers retired ( Kelly's #12?). secondly, I looked and looked but I can't find it, an interview with Kelsay (2006/2007?) where he basicly was saying how Schobel schooled him on getting more money on a new contract. Anywho, it just rubbed me the wrong way, the whole thing and because of it I was never a big player for either one of them after that, especially Schobel with the way that he had his head up his ass and jerked us around at the end of his career. And last but not least, I would love to see the Bills work out a trade for Osi Umenyiora with Kelsay and whatever compensation (5th rder?) we'd have to throw in. Just an idea. -
RD 1, Pick #10: DB Stephon Gilmore - South Carolina

I'm surprised that this post isn't getting a lot of fanfare. This is excellent info from some very credible sources. I'm thrilled to have confidence in our administration and not worried about their talent evaluation decisions. -
I've changed my mind. We should trade up for a player
Tipster19 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Scratch this whole thought! After seeing what Cleveland paid I'm out! Whoever we get at #10 I'll be very happy with. If we trade down I'm good with that too. -
Why sit tight and just draft a player that falls to us? Why not draft someone that will tremendously upgrade a big need position and will be a mainstay for years to come? As long as the cost is not too absorbent (this year's 1st, 2nd and next year's 5th rd picks?) then we should go forward and solidify our offense by trading up with the Vikings for Kalil. This year's draft just happens to be well stocked with good WRs also and we could pick up our 2nd WR with a 3rd rder (Brian Quick?).
