  1. Why not package him with a future pick and/or another player for a higher caliber player in return to fill a need? I think one thing is for certain, Henry has to go. This situation has already caused too much of a distraction.
  2. I found this little quote on the Red Zone. Henry's value isn't dead yet by the sound of this. Titans keeping eye on Henry: The Bills continue to hold on to disgruntled running back Travis Henry, and the Titans are among the teams who would trade for him if the deal is right. The Titans and Bills discussed a trade for Henry during the NFL Draft, and General Manager Floyd Reese and Bills GM Tom Donohoe have had some dialogue since. ''My gut is I think if they can't get what they were looking for during the draft, then I am almost thinking they are going to keep him,'' Reese said. ''But I don't know that.'' Reese said the Bills initially wanted a second- or third- round pick. Reese said the Titans offered the Bills a fifth-round pick and the Bills balked. Would the Titans still take in Henry, a former University of Tennessee star? ''If I can get him at a decent price, yeah,'' Reese said. What could possibly be worked out for him? Troupe would look good in a Bills' uniform but I'm sure we would have to toss something else in the pot for him. I like the part that Reese and Donahoe have had some dialogue since the draft. Any suggestions on what we could get in return?
  3. I know Philly has traded players before that were a year or two away from being on the other side of the hill. In '01 he signed a seven year deal and now the bigger part of compensation should be coming up. This may help in Philly's decision making. If Lindell were to be thrown in the deal to make it, then that would be ok with me. I'm just wondering if this would be a trade that Buffalo should be interested in doing.
  4. This Lindell has to go. I don't think Buffalo should give Henry away but Akers would fill a big need for this team. He's signed thru '07 and is used to kicking in cold northern weather. In addition this guy is nothing but money. Would this be close in value?
  5. Does anybody know who will be available in this year's supplemental draft? From what I read, Buffalo should have a chance of adding to their roster. If anybody can shed some insight it would be appreciated. *Teams with six wins or less are placed together for the initial selection order, followed by another group of non-playoff teams and lastly the playoff teams.
  6. I found this trivia on retired numbers and I thought I would share it with you. Jim Kelly's #12 is the only number retired by the Bills. Seattle has the #12 retired also but it's for the "Fans/the twelfth man". That's too bad. I always considered Buffalo as having the twelfth man honor. The Chicago Bears has the most numberes retired (13). Dallas and Oakland are 2 of 6 teams that retired none. The others are Baltimore, Houston, Jacksonville and Carolina. As much as everybody loves the Bills on this board, I thought some of you would be interested in how Buffalo choose their name. BUFFALO BILLS - Buffalo’s team in the All-America Football Conference (AAFC) in 1946 was the Bisons. In 1947 a contest was held to rename the team, which was owned by James Breuil of the Frontier Oil Company. The winning entry suggested Bills, reflecting on the famous western frontiersman, Buffalo Bill Cody. Carrying the “frontier” theme further, the winning contestant further offered that the team was being supported by Frontier Oil and was “opening a new frontier in sports in Western New York.” When Buffalo joined the new American Football League in 1960, the name of the city’s earlier pro football entry was adopted I for one would be very disappointed if the Bills were to ever be relocated or to change any part of their name. Other than wanting to see the Bills win a Super Bowl during my lifetime, I would also like very much for Mr. Wilson to experience this privilege as in any other long time, die hard Buffalo fan.
  7. Question. Could there be more of an emphasis on the FB position now that the TE position is getting thin, especially one who has pass catching abilities? If so, then this could be an even more available resource of talent.
  8. I guess it all depends on where he was biting himself.
  9. The Titans are trying out two kickers that could be of interest. One is a Swede by the name of Ola Kimrin that is 6'3" and teaches soccer to 9 yr old girls back at his homeland. He was impressive filling in for PK John Hall at one point. He actually won a couple of games for the 'Skins. PK Remy Hamilton is a arena kicker who leads the league with a 80% accuracy and 159 points. If he continues this pace he'll break the record of 72%. When one of them gets the boot I wouldn't mind if he was to get a try-out. I'm tired of this Lindell, I hope Buffalo finds a replacement for this choker.
  10. It would of been better if he said open 24/7. It's going to be an exciting year. Hopefully it is going to be a better year.
  11. I see that I gave you a new purpose in life. If you're bored with the thread then don't read it. You can dish it out but you can't take it. What a baby.
  12. That's a great way to introduce yourself. Welcome aboard.
  13. The New York Daily News is reporting that Shockey has done and said enough controversial things in his three years with the Giants that they should be contemplating if he is worth the aggravation. So far he has been a one year wonder. The Giants though are hardly fed up with him. There has also been plenty of interest in him from other teams. Should we enter the Shockey sweepstakes? If so, what's his value? I don't know if Henry, Reed or any other current player would be of interest to the Giants. A future draft pick could be attractive to the Giants, especially when they were limited in this last draft. Maybe a combination of player(s)/draft pick would make a deal for him. The press could keep this pot stirred. Coughlin is well documented on his hard nose type of football. If Shockey has a strong personality, then this may become a big barrier to overcome. I wonder how would our current 'Cane players feel about adding Shockey? Would they help recruit him or be against it? The status of Everett really concerns me. If he misses any time, then how productive can he be this year? Do you want Shockey on the team, and if so, what would you pay?
  14. You must REALLY be bored.
  15. Would keeping him for a 3rd down RB/depth at reciever be out of the question? I'd hate to give him up for a zero return. If he proves nothing this year then cut bait.
  16. That would be an exciting Super Bowl. It could go down to the last two weeks of the season and people would still be wrong, so there's no harm in making a prediction now.
  17. AFC East 1st- Bills. I believe. NE took too many personnel losts. Bills have easier shedule. 2nd-Patriots. Still a great team. Buffalo edges them on inter-division record. 3rd-Jets. Just 2 games might be the difference from 1st to 3rd. 4th-Dolphins. Somebody has to. '05 season is just an evaluation for Saban. AFC North 1st-Ravens. Surprise! Fassel provides offense thru the air. 2nd-Bengals. This team is jelling nicely. This is closer than Buffalo/NE. 3nd-Steelers. RBs aren't the most durable. Big Ben gets his clock cleaned. 4th-Browns. *See Miami. They do provide a surprisenly nice foundation. AFC West 1st-Chiefs. Only if the Priest plays all year. 2nd-Chargers. Breathing down Vermiel's neck. 3rd-Raiders. All offense, soft defense. They take the division in 2006. 4th-Broncos. Sha-na-na-na,hey-hey GOOD-BYE! Bowlen tells Mike to take a hike. AFC South 1st-Texans. Offense is nice, defense is better. 2nd-Jaguars. Team resembles Del Rio. Hard nose. RBs wear down. 3nd-Colts. Offense gets dungyized, still need more defense. 4th-Titans. They're looking towards the future. Still have many holes to fill. * You can all blast me all you want on the AFC South, but I don't believe in the Colts. NFC East 1st-Eagles. Who else? 2nd-Cowboys. They rebound in a big way. They threaten for the division. 3rd-Giants. Tough division foes, Eli is still too much a sissy for Shockey & Co. 4th-'Skins. Great defense, young offense. Anything with Snyder invites implosion NFC North 1st-Lions. Mooch has got this team on the move. Solid on both sides of the ball. 2nd-Vikings. They just can't get by the Lions. 3rd-Packers. Thanks for the memories Brett. 4th-Bears. Exciting team, still needs work. They battle their division foes. NFC West 1st-Seahawks. Ha ha Cardinals, take that! This team DID improve in the off season. 2nd-Cardinals. Team has a very bright future, has to learn to win. 3rd-Rams. Bruce is aged, third WR doesn't step up, it's the same old Torry. 4th-49'ers. Nothing to fret about. They're rebuilding faster than one would think. NFC South 1st-Falcons. Vick uses more of his arm than his legs. 2nd-Panthers. Fox gets his teams to play, this year no different. 3rd-Saints. They remind me of the Tinman, all they need is a heart. 4th-Buccaneers. Gruden, you're an idiot, you get what you deserve. Super Bowl Atlanta vs Baltimore. Ready, Aim, Flame!
  18. I can't think of a good nickname for Losman, but I know that I wouldn't want him to be the Come Back Kid.
  19. Word has it, the way Lindell has been kicking, there's going to be an open try-out.
  20. One last stab. How about one for the team? I mentioned The Bermuda Triangle for our 'Canes trio, MaGahee, Parrish, and Everett.
  21. JP is going to be tough. Last year when we signed TE Jason Peters, I thought Peterbuilt seem to fit him pretty good. Any other names for our current players?
  22. Count on it. I'll be down on my knees praying for your brother-in-law.
  23. I realize that each league has different scoring systems so this doesn't have to be an exact science. This is how I'm trying to structure my game plan. Willis in the 1st rd. Molds and/or Evans in the 4th or 5th rd. I'll pick the defense surprisingly early so I make sure that I get them. A 4th rd shocker. I may take Losman as my 2nd QB, but late so I can have more early rds for other skilled players. I'll take JP in between the 8th-10th rd. This should secure him. We play defensive players, so Roscoe will be my ST/WR in the 5th-7th rds. I think that would be the extent for me. In my league's scoring system these players should provide big points.
  24. I would like to think that with a year under Mularkey and McNally's belt that we would see this team pick up where we left off (outside of the Pittsburgh game of course). Our interior of the defense were young also and now they have more playing time experience. The addition of JP's mobility will either make us or break us. I hope Wyche is performing the best coaching job of his life.
