I hope Brees and Givens don't land up in Miami.

Whew, I forgot about M&M! Now I feel better. -

I sure hope so. Brees worries me as far as his intelligence and now a possible chip on his shoulder, no pun intended, by being snubbed by SD and labeled as damaged goods. If a bonehead like Aaron Brooks or someone like him lands up in Miami, then I wouldn't be too concerned. -

Oh, but I think that the fish have yet to begun their FA targets. -

I don't know what would have been posted more if we would of signed either Pickett or Lewis, a) Oh, we overpaid for these Fairchild/Kollar pets or b) Whaa, we loaded up with all the cast-offs from the Rams. Thanks gblakely14 for a little common sense. -
New England. Should of known. Don't expect the Patriots to stand idle, they are not going to lay down in free agency.

Nate Clements cap hit just went up !
Tipster19 replied to ___JT___'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we were to resign him then whose to say that it wouldn't be more cap friendly? There is still plenty of time to see how this will play out. I don't think that this should be a big concern at this time. Once the draft is concluded and before the season starts I think that we will see this situation resolve itself. -
If the alledged reports of money that Pickett wants than I hope that he signs with the Cardinals. For that kind of money I'd rather have Baltimore's DL Ma'ake Kemoeatu or Pittsburgh's Kimo van Oelhoffen.

I think it's a bigger thrill to watch one of our area teams overachieve than it is to have such high expectations as many of us do at this time of each year. Maybe the worm can turn for us this year with our expectations being so low. If only if some our high paid professionals could take a page from what these kids are accomplishing in 'Cuseland than we should have a very entertaining season. Ah once again, wishful thinking. It was nice to see DC give his old coach a big old bearhug after the game.

Why does everybody badmouth each other so much?

Now we have a poll for our next whipping boy? I thought badmouthing the guy who has given us football in western NY was bad enough but this one really proves that a good portion of this "great fanbase" is really just a bunch of miserable people who probably don't even like themselves much. The gashings and personal attacks on posts have always been boorish anyways but the creativity of finding new ways to slander and discredit is really becoming too much. Why don't some of you "fans" spend about 10% of your negative energy in trying to be a little nicer AND positive towards each other and situations. Who knows, you might feel a little better about yourselves. Just an observation.

After Ralph taking so much heat because of the CBA debates, people are now doubting our chance at FAs. I think one can expect some ex Rams and bears to be invited to our organization in the very near future. Just an observation.

Does anyone have ANY idea how much these
Tipster19 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hey thanks DonInBuffalo, great link! Buffalo ranks 13th in operating revenue. Ralph better quit fooling around and get off his wallet. It's time for a championship team. Polian's greatest accomplishment might have been to get Ralph to cough up the bucks for talent. Unfortunately it was also his downfall. Ah, too bad. -
I'm just curious. Maybe only clumping platelets can answer this. If nobody can answer this accurately then can anybody give an educated guess? I have a debate going on with my a friend and I was guessing somewheres in the 40-60 million dollar range.

Say what you want but this guy DOES play with the passion. Pending his health status, I would love to see this guy in Buffalo blue. I wouldn't hold too much against him based on his unhappiness in Washington. Keep in mind that he was playing for the Evil Emperor (Snyder) and that jerk Greg Williams. Williams has as much people skills as Hitler. When a guy basically pays for his release because he's that unhappy and then states that you can't put a price tag on principles and values, then I would think that would be a pretty good reflection of character. This guy plays with the passion that we could use on defense. I'm not questioning Spikes or Fletcher's but there was alot of others on defense that played like they were just collecting a check. I'm sure that I'm going to get flamed but I really appreciate a player like this. His creer has very similiar parallels to our own Eric Moulds. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/03/06/AR2006030601641.html

I wonder how all this will affect the upcoming draft. Alexander was a big fish to get out of the loop. I would like to see Arizona spend big bucks on either of the other two remaining big name RBs. The more money they spend the better, the less they'll have for other areas of need. On another note, Houston's RB Jonathan Wells may be the odd RB out. I sure would like to see Buffalo get him to back up MaGahee. At one point early in his professional career he was considered a poor man's Eddie George. Well, Ralph is a poor man or at least acts like one.

You can now add the Raiders to rethinking their decision on QB Collins. -

No but we didn't need to cut him right now. Why give another team an advantage by letting them know who you are going to release until you have too? -

Prime example, the Rams released WR Isaac Bruce but now with the extra time they may work out a contract with him. We shouldn't have cut anybody yet, just wait and see what the other teams were going to do. It's BS. -
All this extra time benefits the teams that are over the salary cap greatly. They should have never said that they had a deadline. What a joke. I wish that there was some way to really stick it to these owners and players. They just better get hteir act together and produce this great product that they always profess.

Take a stab at what team will sign what FA.
Tipster19 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh yeah, it's a natural fit. They're not too happy with Boller anyways. With Collins and the long ball to Clayton it should make Mason very dangerous. -
I'll guess that Baltimore signs Collins. As far as Buffalo goes I think that we belly up for Runyan.
-
Expect an O-lineman or a safety. If we sign Demps than it's bye-bye Vincent.

KFFL reports that Oakland has released QB Collins

No I doubt it but you can bet that he's going to join Fassel in Baltimore. -
