  1. The 7th rd pick I threw in there because I'm a greedy SOB. As far as St. Louis, Carolina, and Pittsburgh not needing a RB, that may be true, but can it stand to reason that these teams can trade back also? As it stands now, I don't think Green Bay has alot of options for RB. The RBs after Lynch start become more questionable. Bush, I think, is the next one to consider and I saw a mock draft that has the Colts taking him with their 1st rder (#32). He would be a good pick for them there but find it hard to believe that Green Bay would take him with their 1st rder (#16) if Lynch was gone. The compensation of a Buffalo/Green Bay trade may not be accurate but the validity of need for Green Bay is.
  2. I'm wondering if we do go with a RBBC and possibly draft one with a mid rd pick. If so, Lynch should be available with the 12th pick. Green Bay (#16) has a great need for a RB and a trade down with them would be beneficial. Swapping our 1st rd picks and Green Bay adding their 2nd (#47) and one of their 7th (#209,#216) rd picks would be attractive. Sliding back to the 16th pick and addressing a big need at CB by selecting Pittsburgh's Darrelle Revis and adding another 1st day pick would supply enough incentive to make this trade. Having two 2nd rd and two 3rd rd picks would also afford us the option of moving back into the 1st rd if we care to do so. Would this trade be feasible?
  3. Could it be that Buffalo doesn't draft a RB with a 1st or 2nd rd pick and just goes with A-Train and another FA RB? Some have posted that it's a deeper draft for RBs next year and maybe this is where the Bills get their RB of the future. I do agree that an improved O-Line may allow us to use a RBBC approach. Using our early rd picks on other needs may be the way to go.
  4. The Bills should dial up Tampa and see if they could work something out. http://www.buccaneers.com/news/newsdetail.aspx?newsid=5116 http://www.buccaneers.com/news/newsdetail.aspx?newsid=5126 http://www.buccaneers.com/news/newsdetail.aspx?newsid=5221
  5. There is no way that Marv spent this much money on the O-Line and got rid of McGahee without having a valid backfield intact. It's not going to be one or more of these second tier RBs that the Bills have been parading through One Bills Drive. I'm not going to make a prediction, I'm just going to refuse to believe that he doesn't have a specific RB targeted either in FA, trade or in the draft.
  6. San Diego picks #30 and they could really use a S.
  7. Maybe swapping 1st rd picks would provide enough value for both teams.
  8. I do believe AJ Smith would be willing to deal but it would be to move up in the 1st rd. I would think that he'd be flexible on that 3rd rder though.
  9. That 3rd rder is the 29th pick of the rd, at least use it to get more beef in the middle of our defense.
  10. Hello Lothar. There are three times a year that gets me fired up and that's the beginning of free agency, the draft and opening day. They all have one thing in common though and that is anything is possible. It's true that I have been firing alot of garbage out there lately but you get one chance a year, I want to take advantage of it while I can. Don't classify or disreguard this post with some of the others, this has a valid point. Even if I'm wrong on the specifics, I know this, Marv just didn't randomly (like my posts) get rid of McGahee and explode with the moves on our O-Line just to provide a run of the mill RB corp. He is definitely is up to something and has a plan. This post is just one of my many guesses. The only other thing that would make sense is if he is just planning on drafting Peterson or Lynch. I just don't see how we can afford or risk doing that. For the rest of you, don't get upset with me, when free agency/draft period ends, you won't hear much from me but when you do I promise to try to provide the best quality of content that I can. Until then, let's have some fun, or at least let me. Thanks.
  11. One other aspect that I'd like to add is that it wouldn't surprise me if San Diego were to draft RB Michael Bush with their 1st rd pick (#30).
  12. Does the Polian-Butler/Smith-Marv connection come into play here? These guys were the regime of our glory years and while Butler/Smith may have had their issues with Ralph, they didn't with Marv. Remember, this is a business and administration will do what's best for their organization. San Diego needs a S and Buffalo needs a RB. I think these two had a deal all along. There is no way Marv immediately spent big $$$ on our O-Line and was more than willing to deal our #1 RB right away this off season without having a goal. He's window dressing these 2nd tier RBs until he can complete the McGahee trade. Other teams were looking at these RBs too and if Marv didn't jump in it would had spiraled down McGahee's stock. This draft really only has two premiere RBs, Peterson and Lynch. The price to move up in the draft for Peterson would be huge. Can Buffalo really afford to do this? I don't think so. This only leaves Lynch. Does Marv risks trading away McGahee while he can't and won't pay for Peterson and leaves himself vunerable to having another team step in and draft Lynch before us? That doesn't make sense. To secure Lynch he would still have to move up several slots. This brings me to the Turner scenario. Here is an experienced NFL player, ready to go from jumpstreet. This would help explain why A-Train, or a comparable RB, hasn't already been secured. I do believe that we are going to sign a single RB now. I was believing that we were going to sign two RBs as a stop gap and then draft our RB of the future. I don't believe that to be true now. The cost would be our 1st rder but we're prepared to use that for a RB. The difference is to secure Turner it'll only cost a 3rd rder and that can be negoiated. Who's to say that it has to be this year's 3rd rder anyways? San Diego would love to have the chance at a Laron Landry type and with the 12th pick they have that chance. You know, Buffalo sure had their share of shrewd GMs. I just didn't realize Marv would be one of them.
  13. How about Brown/A-Train or Brown/Duckett?
  14. I think that's where the dollars come in. McGahee right now doesn't cost as much as Alexander did, the same thing with Edge plus alot more mileage.
  15. KFFL and a Washington insider wrote that Denver wants their #6 pick and is willing to give up their 1st rder, 2nd rder, possibly their 3rd rder, a late rder AND Dre Bly. Can't we work something out with that maniac Shanahan?!! I'd be more than happy to take those first 3 picks and swap out Bly for Wilson. Wilson's bio http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.php?id=4...p;contentID=758 Per KFFL http://www.kffl.com/hotw/nfl
  16. Of course I'm kidding. It's a real knee slapper when I post something that everyone is in a frenzy about and then I'm put down for my input. I'll just agree that they're right.
  17. You're right, I don't know why everyone is posting on these broken down RBs. If there is even a sniff of one around Buffalo, you can expect over a thousand views on these bogus posts. We better just keep McGahee, he's the best RB I have ever seen.
  18. It will be Chris Brown paired with A-Train, possibly Duckett, and a drafted RB Lynch?). Good bye McGoofey!
  19. This should just leave Green Bay and Baltimore scraps and make them consider McGahee alittle bit more as an option.
  20. *I noticed that this post is along similiar lines of IndyJay1234's post titled Cleveland. I was typing as he was posting, maybe the mods should blend my post with his.
  21. Here's where the friendship comes into play. Charlie will let Romeo know if Quinn is the real deal. If Detroit passes on Peterson then he should slide to Arizona at the #5 slot.
  22. You shouldn't tie up your phone, Marv might be calling looking for your insights. I know it's crazy trying to convert a player's position, it would be a league first. Thanks for your input, I'll try not to think anymore.
  23. Nice post stuckincincy. I hope that this helps remind people of the team that Marv is constructing. The best addition we made was putting Marv in charge. Go Bills!
  24. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R211e6JdVew http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvKaO78Ov2I...ted&search= http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...aronlandry.html Players play, convert this guy to CB and we would have one awesome secondary for years to come.
  25. Shanahan just doesn't stop, does he?
