  1. Alright, enough is enough. It's time to take a break. I'm worried about The Dean, check out the face of the avatar, it just morphed into I don't know what! Somebody better alert the mods, we have a meltdown in aisle 7. I think all this predraft BS has finally gotten to 'em.
  2. Great points and well stated. I'm done worrying about this guy and the RB position. Marv is not an idiot and we'll be better than what people think. I'm not into extortion and if Marv sees the value in Turner than hopefully AJ and Marv can work out a fair deal.
  3. Because I think that A-Train would be used like Marion Barber and Jones used in his same capacity, running between the 20's. Jones, in a shared role, gained just over a 1,000 yds., not much in TDs and in the 4 or 5 Dallas games I saw they never threw to him but twice out of the backfield. How much did they REALLY use him? Before you say Parcels didn't like or believe in Jones, I read several articles in which Parcels stated that he was saving him for the end of the season and the play-off run. I had Jones in a fanasy football league last year and kept close tabs on what was happening in Dallas. I don't think things went very well for that whole team as the year wore on. Before anyone annoints Barber as the primary back, Tuna went on record as saying that he would of liked to have gotten Tyson Thompson more into the mix with some carries also but he got hurt during the year. McGahee was traded and the Bills kept A-Train, what does that indicate? Well though A-Train may not be the blue chip RB that we all want he is more than just a back-up RB, like it or not. I'm starting to believe that Buffalo just might be content to use a RBBC and have A-Train firmly entrenched in that mix.
  4. If we are looking for help at S shouldn't the Bills take a look at Mike Doss?
  5. I couldn't agree more. Why can't we compete like everyone else, on and off the field. It's stupid.
  6. obie_wan, with all due respect, why do you doubt that he can do all the "little things" to be a featured back? Do you have any evidence to support these concerns? I don't but maybe you do, or better yet, maybe Marv does and that's why he invited Turner to Buffalo for a visit. I also don't understand that part about SD should put him on the field with LT. If they did there would be no Lorenzo Neal, his lead blocker, who paved the way for him. I don't think Neal is credited enough for his play, where ever this guy has gone the running game was strong.
  7. Please, shed some light on it so we can tell what options are available for us in potential trades. If you can also break down and explain what kind of possible avenues of releasing of players and restructuring that can make more money available?
  8. Look, Turner would be the BEST option of all the RBs. I think the biggest issue about him should be that we just don't need to overpay for him. I think if Marv got REAL creative and got off that cash to cap crap we do have a unique opportunity to make this draft to be a blockbuster. We have 4 quality picks at great positions. We don't need to spend or blow extra picks in trying to address our needs. Matter of fact we need to parlay our valuable picks and have them prosper. For an example, we could take our 1st rder and trade back to gain extra picks and then use that traded down 1st rder to trade to a team for their established veteran player like a Briggs. I'm providing a link to a past post that demonstrates this theory. The point is I think that we have a real good shot of trading for Turner but if we do it it could very well jeopardize us getting that blue chip LB (Willis or Poz) which we really do need badly. So c'mon Marv, forget the cash to cap and make a mojo move before it's too late for Ralph to see us get to a SuperBowl and win it. Forget the Gipper, do it for Ralph. Go Bills! http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=62367
  9. It's hard to see one of our good players that we drafted go to another team, unless they hated it here and badmouthed us then I say good riddance. I'm just glad that he went to the NFC. That reminds me, good thing that Tennessee is an AFC team too, that puts us on an equal plane with them for Turner's service. A team like Green Bay could spell trouble though.
  10. Speaking of salt, I think you just poured a mound of it on a wound that none of us are still not happy about. Nobody who is a Bills' fan wanted to see Nate go, we were just resigned to the fact that he would be gone. I hope he feels the same way about Buffalo and it's fans as they do about him.
  11. I was just messing around about Peterson. Here's what I expect. Turner won't be available by the end of this week let alone making it to the draft and Peterson will also be long gone by the 12th pick. I would like to see us get Turner for a 3rd rder (#92 would be great!) this year and our 3rd rder (Hopefully the one we got from Baltimore) in next year's draft. If that's not enough then step it up with our 2008's 2nd rder with one of our 3rd rders in this year's draft. Swapping our 1st rder with them in this year's draft would be disappointing but if that's what it would take then I think that we should probably do it. Anything more than these scenarios would be too much in my opinion and I would rather have us look elsewhere.
  12. Here's a thought that will make you toss and turn all night. What if Buffalo swaps 1st rd picks with San Diego and Peterson is still available when they pick and they take him? I would put my foot right thru the television.
  13. Hopefully this is where Marv's character pays off. I don't know how AJ feels about old Ralph but I would be pretty surprised if Marv wasn't on amicable terms with him. It wouldn't be in San Diego's best interest if they didn't give all of the potential suitors a fair opportunity to offer them compensation.
  14. Click the link to their message board and you'll see that by page 3 they change their tune. Dillion is out until further notice.
  15. Did you see how fast his feet were flying? He almost looked like a cartoon. We are supposed to have a massive retooled O-Line, I would love to see Turner get out into open space. Fans want us to use a draft pick on a RB, if the price is right, why not use one on Turner?
  16. Chicken legs???!!! I don't know, the guy looks pretty good to me. Check him out and tell me what you think. http://www.dailymotion.com/jcdavey/video/x1lrpq_turnervid
  17. Looks like it's coming down to the stretch run between Buffalo and Tennessee. http://nashvillecitypaper.com/index.cfm?se...p;news_id=55481
  18. There was no mention that I saw on BuffaloBills.com or Bills Daily. Why is it that a national paper has the information faster than our own local sources? PS Does anybody know anything about this player? Thanks.
  19. Sadly it doesn't look like we're going to be signing any big name players in trades. I'm finding it hard to accept the thought that we are going to just stand pat and only go with our draft picks and maybe a couple of minor signings in free agency. This team still needs a big shot in the arm to have any chance to compete for the play-offs.
  20. Hey, thanks for the input TKOSpiked but when I checked Bills Daily front office page it was the cap to cash that concerned me. That appeared to be about only 11-12 million available. If Marv sticks to his guns on only spending cash to cap then this doesn't leave much for us to make a trade.
  21. KFFL reports that the Titans are also interested in RB Kevan Barlow. I'd like to see them sign one of these FAs so we can have a shot at Turner.
  22. Will that be for this year's draft?
  23. Fair enough. I wasn't trying to question you, I just truly wanted to know. When I get out of work I'll try to find that quote for you. Go Bills!
  24. daquix, you seem to be a nice enough person but I notice that you question EVERYTHING someone posts or look towards the negative. Are you a Bills' fan? If so, for how long? No link is needed for this quote, it's common knowledge for quite some time.
  25. I think if so that Marv needs to get it handled soon so that we can make possible trades to fill our the current needs of the team. Having a few open needs and no movement in contracts is a little puzzling.
