  1. If we take Chris Brown it might limit Green Bay's options even more. They use a zone blocking that would favor Brown's attributes. If we have Brown then maybe we can squeeze them for a extra pick and trade down to them so they can take Lynch. With Brown, A-Train, Fred Jackson and Shaud Williams on the roster, we should be stable enough for this year. Taking Bush in the 3rd rd would be a good value and allow us to use our other three first day picks on defensive players for our other areas of need. This would let Bush have a year to get ready for a starter role in 2008.
  2. Flight issues??!!! He couldn't grab a later flight or one tomorrow? Forget about it, this deal is done. I'm thinking that Tennessee coughed up their 1st rder and AJ knew that he wasn't going to better this deal so he took it. It's probably best not to show too much disappointment and give those snug Chargers their jollies.
  3. There is a simple reason why ESPN didn't report anything about Turner being in Buffalo and that is because Turner never was in Buffalo.
  4. You forgot to add that they both don't want to come to Buffalo.
  5. I'd be careful, that splooge looks like some kind of alien. Get a poker red hot by sticking it in the fireplace and try to burn that crap off your face before it stick it's tail down your throat.
  6. Kiss Turner good-bye, he ain't coming. What I meant was we are not going to get him. Start shifting your focus on Marshawn Lynch or a RB in the 2nd or 3rd rd. Here's a blurp that might cheer you up alittle bit. I just got done watching NFL Live! and they had old helmet head Kiper on and asked him who's stock is on the rise and went thru a whole rigamarole on his character, work ethic, and blah, blah, blah and said Patrick Willis is rising and is now somewheres in the middle of the 1st rd. He then went on to emphasize that he may go to the Bills. Pick your chin up and have a nice day.
  7. Hey The Dean, what the hell is that all over your face??!!!
  8. Turner goes and gets a physical in Tennessee, Tennessee speaks to San Diego for contract perimeters, Dillion postpones his visit, Turner runs into "flight issues" and we all got our thumbs up our ass. Hmm, what could this mean?
  9. I think that there will be a great disappointment around here if we don't get Turner. I think the most attractive part in getting Turner is that we should still have our 1st rd pick at the #12 spot to use for a defensive player that we need all the while that we addressed another need of ours at the RB position.
  10. Hey John from Hemet, nice to hear from you. Everything that you said is spot on except I really don't believe that Peterson will even be close to being there at the 12th pick. I would not be disappointed nor against us picking Willis with the #12 pick because I do believe that a LB is a big need for us and a defensive player is the way to go. At the same time I do believe that we would have a tremendous opportunity to be able to take a D-Lineman that would really be a special player for us for many years to come, this year included.
  11. No, Carriker should be used primarily in the middle of our defense but he can also be used like Richard Seymour. He can be used all up and down the D-Line. His versatility will pay dividends for years to come, long after Walker is retired and working in his construction company.
  12. By the end of today I'm sure we will all have a good idea where we stand with Turner and our RB situation. If Buffalo doesn't act quickly then I would suspect that they will be willing to take their chances in the draft and even maybe sign that bum Chris Brown for the interm.
  13. It does if you believe in building the trenches. Marv just did that on the offensive side of the ball. What you're saying is that our D-Line is all set and I don't see it. There's no need to be sarcastic. According to what your saying is that we should count on McCargo's foot to be 100%, rely on an aging DT in Walker and expect Hargrove to sign his tender and use him as a DT if all else fails. Is that about accurate? The DEs and DTs are very limited in this draft and will be well off the board by the middle of the 1st rd. There is the possibility of moving back into the 1st rd for a LB or even taking one in the 2nd rd. I think that makes sense, don't you?
  14. Sorry, I disagree. If Carriker is there, we take him.
  15. There is if Carriker is still on the board. Do you really want to go into the season with the speculation of a doctor. The guy injured the same foot TWICE! That DE has been tendered but he hasn't signed it as of yet. Three out of the five DTs are suited for the same position, we need one to take on two blockers. Carriker can provide that. Walker, Tripplett and McCargo aren't looked at for this need.
  16. All I know is if Buffalo signs Turner the city better call out the bulldozers. This signing will rock the foundation so much that there will be nothing but rubble from all the plaster and lath being shaken off the walls!
  17. The biggest drawback for me in taking a RB in the first rd is that we still have other issues to resolve aka LB, CB, and even DT. That's why trading for Turner without involving our 1st rder is attractive for me. If that can happen then we can use the 1st rder for defense. Drafting Lynch kills that thought.
  18. I don't think that the compensation will be an issue. Marv must have a pretty good idea what SD is looking for. I think that if Marv likes what he sees with Turner and terms can be met with him, then I think Marv can work it out with AJ alot easier than what people would think.
  19. If Buffalo does sign Turner, what 17 RBs do you think would be better than Turner?
  20. You know what, I would. Show me the scoring system and what I need to do.
  21. I'm all for a pick, especially a conditional one, in next year's draft. That and a 3rd rder this year would be fair.
  22. No but if Buffalo signs him then I'm going to draft him in the 1st rd.
  23. I wonder how much will be determined or resolved today with Turner. Do you think that Buffalo makes a run at him and don't let him leave or does Turner leaves Buffalo without a contract being worked?
  24. http://admin.buffalobills.com/news/news.jsp?news_id=4694 I found another link that I should post that has his teammates saying that you couldn't ask for a better teammate than Marshawn. It makes you wonder what the truth is behind this young man. I'm getting the impression that he would be the consumate teammate and player.
