I can't believe that I want us to back off from Turner. I've been a big advocate to aquire him but right now AJ has too much clout going for him. We need to wait and see if Tennessee hooks up with Dillion next week, I think they will just so they are not so desperate for Turner either. I was listening to Sirius radio just a little while ago and most of them folks think that Tennessee will get Turner because they have a bigger need. I say let them have him. We have plenty of options still and we don't need to get into a bidding war so early. If we lock ourselves in now, the draft is always so unpredictable and we should wait and see what becomes available for us. If all else fails there is still Lynch and also RBs like Brandon Jackson in the 2nd rd. Right now Turner's stock is at an all time premium, let's wait until it comes down if he is still available come draft time.

Bills And Bolts are talking trade talks
Tipster19 replied to BILLSBACKERINLA's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't expect Marv to overpay. When he wanted somebody (Dockery & Langston) he moved rapidly and paid handsomely. This Turner thing has been brewing about for some time now. I believe that Ralph and maybe some others (Marv) moved quickly to talk to Turner after Tennessee just to have the opportunity and to know the exact preimeters of the compensation. At this point our braintrust will mull over the options afforded to us and make a decision in the very near future but that's not to say that they will over react and pay thru the ass. -
Buffalo Bills.com says Turner is at OBD right now.

Can we get off this stupid ass debate of he said/she said and get back to the subject matter? Thanks. As much as I would love for Buffalo to land Turner they better not give up ANY 1st rders, this year's or next. We can address our RB situation without Turner if need be. He is not the only option and I hope Buffalo does keep that in perspective. -

It makes me a little nervous. The last time old Ralphie fueled up his big bird we picked up Bledsoe. -

Here's a snippet from ESPN's insider. I can't provide a link because I'm not a member, maybe somebody who is can. Bills owner Ralph Wilson dispatched his private plane to get Michael Turner to Buffalo after Turner was having flight troubles in Tennessee. It sounds like the Bills are really in this despite being in good position to draft a tailback somewhere on the first day. However, ESPN's John Clayton reports San Diego won't take less than a first-rounder for Turner. Apr. 5 - 8:17 p.m. ET Looks like Ralphie boy is on board for Turner. I can't but think that if everything looks good Buffalo will make this happen tonight if not already. -
It's for one year $850,000.00. Let's keep the papertrail rolling!

Well, I scoured and I scoured all day and nary a word or update on Turner Derby. I'm wondering if Buffalo is hammering out a deal as we speak. There was quicker updates with the Tennessee situation, it should be very soon for us to hear if Turner left Buffalo or the wheels are in motion for a deal. -

Here's a few scenarios that I could live with. a) Like I stated earlier, trading off the two 3rd rders that we got from Baltimore. b) Trade our 2nd rder (#43) outright and swapping one of our 2007 3rd rders for San Diego's 2nd rder (#62). c) Swapping our 1st rder (#12) for San Diego's 1st rder (#30) and no other compensation. There, I think that about covers it. Would anyone disagree with any of these scenarios? -

Give San Diego the two 3rd rders that we got from Baltimore, nothing more, if they don't like it tell 'em to screw. Here's another update out of Tennessee. http://www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ar...03/1027/RSS0201 PS I'm getting worried about you The Dean, it looks like you're falling apart! -
Here The Dean, let me try and help you old buddy. Because the Bears' GM Jerry Angelo really is against picking in the top ten. There is too much guaranteed money (15-20 million) involved for his liking. Furthermore, it's apparent that Briggs is becoming a bigger problem as time goes on. If Chicago waits until after the draft, the opportunities and compensations will become more sparse. Last but not least, I do believe that Mr. Angelo kind of took a burn to the way Rosenhaus/Snyder went about creating this whole trade scenario. Sticking it to those two delightful people would be the icing on the cake. Dealing with us for a less expensive draft position and being able to retain a great compensation for Briggs without losing face would be a win win situation.

Ok, I'll play. Swap our 1st rd pick with Denver and in addition we trade our second 3rd rd pick (#92-from Baltimore) and have Denver throw in MLB Al Wilson and their 2nd rd pick at #56. Now owning the 21st pick of the draft we select Poz. Then with our two 2nd rders we select CB Marcus McCauley with the 43rd pick and RB Brandon Jackson with the 56th pick. This leaves us with our original 3rd rd pick (#74). Here we have the flexibility of selecting the best available player at any position we choose. Does this seem reasonable? Good. By the way, here's a couple of links on MLB Al Wilson. http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drmn/nfl/...5460583,00.html http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drmn/nfl/...5447905,00.html -
What is marv thinking Now?

Marv is thinking that if he doesn't hurry up and pull his head out of ass that he is going to have to run the rock down by the goalline himself. -

Marv is in the bathroom crapping his pants wondering "What the hell did I do?" -
A questionable testimony from a girlfriend who may get charged for perjury and a case of mistaken identity is what you're basing an opinion on? Please tell me you never served jury duty. He may not come from the most desireable background but I think that if people want to judge the players based on any kind of allegation then there is plenty of other players who would be of questionable character. here's a couple of links. http://www.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/stories/030707aac.html Here's one that's interesting. Read the background section, he sounds like someone you might be familiar with, I can't think who though. http://fantasysports.yahoo.com/analysis/ne...;league=fantasy Ooh, look who the NFL comparison is to. http://www.draftshowcase.com/MarshawnLynch.htm

This was a great man and a true teacher. My condolences to his family. Rest in peace.

He's too busy over on my post about RBs, trying to smear Lynch. Doesn't he sound like a used car salesman?
-
Forget RMANCIL, he's a troll from the dark side. Koufax is over there making an idiot out of himself. I checked out the Chargers' message board and I found this article. It's strange that it contradicts everything that has so far been reported. Tell me what you make of it. http://www.aolsportsblog.com/2007/04/04/tu...o-running-back/

Looks like you're a Chargers' fan. Well, no offense to you but tell AJ what he can do with Turner and I do hope that the name Turner the Burner still applies.
