Ok, I'll play. I sat out 14 pages but now I'm in. What's the criteria for this who's who? Subject matter? The way they carry themselves? Or just plain old nostalgia for the good old boys' club? IMO, being rude, obnoxious and confrontational doesn't necessarily translate to being an immortal poster. Well, I've read and made more than my share of posts, and I can't remember it all, but what I do recall is that while everybody have made valid points at one time or another I have always read what stuckincincy has had to say. He always carries himself well and not only responds with class and his own insights but even makes posts when he really has something to say. I also appreciate hearing from time to time on someone's inside info on another team (Bengals). For this my vote is cast for stuckincincy.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your support. While I won't debate if they'll last until because I did push the envelope on those two but funnier things have happened. If we don't draft O'Connell in the 5th then Tamme could be moved up to that spot if needed. I guess it will be based on how many TEs are taken in the earlier rds.

I remember posting and providing a YouTube about WR Jordy Nelson before his work out at the Combine and now I see more and more people clamoring for him. He's the type of player that would be a fan favorite in Buffalo and I sure hope that we do draft him. Here's what I would like to see Buffalo do in the draft. This of course is based on us keeping all of our current picks. 1st rd- DE Derrick Harvey 2nd rd- CB Tracy Porter 3rd rd- WR Jordy Nelson 4th rd- DT DeMario Pressley 5th rd- QB Kevin O'Connell 6th rd- TE Jacb Tamme 7th rd- C Fernando Velasco

I bet that the Chargers will be all over this kid in the late rds.

That except only increased my interest in Nelson. I told my buddy a few weeks back (he's a huge Dolphin fan) about Nelson and that he reminds me of McCaffrey. Lo and behold that's same comparison they used. I just think that when it's all over and done with this is the type of player that Buffalo advocates. Speaking personally, I would like to see us use our 1st rd pick on a defensive player (DE, DT or possibly a CB) and trade for an established wide receiver (Ruvell Martin, Malcolm Floyd etc. etc.) and then draft Nelson in the 3rd or 4th rd. Whatever picks that we have left, 2nd and/or 3rd rders, use on more defensive players. In the 4th or 5th rd take a TE like Kentucky's Jacob Tamme. Our offense isn't that far gone and with just a little valid help it should be more than functional. A strong defense will sustain and also keep us in most ball games. -
Here's a small update from this weekend's Combine. It wouldn't surprise me that Buffalo grabs a draft prospect or even an actual player from the CFL simply for the promotion aspect. It certainly wouldn't hurt the Bills' image of having one of the CFL's higher profiled player/prospect on our roster. http://www.cfl.ca/index.php?module=newser&...y&nid=23244

One knee has been reconstructed and the other is arthritic. I don't believe that we should draft a receiver with our first pick but if we do then I sure hope that we take Limas Sweed. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...1,7751937.story

Of all places it is being held in Toronto this weekend. I wonder if that has contributed to us being very patient, especially concerning the wide receiver help that we need. Although that these athletes play a different but similiar kind of football doesn't mean that their size and speed isn't applicable to American football. There are two wide receivers that are interesting prospects. Mike Bradwell is 6' 3"/200 lbs. and Samuel Giguere. He supposed to be "a freak of nature". He's only 6' 0"/215 lbs. but with remarkable wheels. i wouldn't want for us to pass up on someone who could be potentially special just because he doesn't fit the 6 foot plus criteria. Keep in mind that Joe Horn came from the C.F.L. and I'm sure that there were others that I'm not aware of. Here's a link that mention a little on both of them. http://www.cfl.ca/index.php?module=newser&...25&writer=8

I have to agree with you there. That's disappointing. All the reports that I have been reading gave me the impression that Hall would have done just about anything to get out of Atlanta. I hope that it was more about team chemistry rather than the dollars.

It doesn't make sense for the Bills just to draft a wide receiver and there isn't a worthy one that's a FA. I expect the Bills to make a trade for one, even if it's just a modest trade. I scanned abit on who could be a good fit and I came across Pittsburgh's WR Nate Washington. As it stands right now he's been tendered for a 2009 2nd rder. I wouldn't be too apprehensive about compensating the Steelers if the Bills' braintrust deemed it valid but I think more so that maybe a possible player and a later rd pick just might get this done. It's purely speculation but if anyone else agrees that the Bills will make a move for a wide receiver before the draft then I'd be curious on who you might be a possibility in a trade. The only other scenario of obtaining a receiver other than the draft would be if someone has either a abundance of receivers that have to get trimmed or have salary cap issues and can't keep their current roster intact. Thoughts?

They were talking to him about being a mentor to the younger players, Adam Carriker, possible draft pick DE Chris Long and others, and Glover was real cool about it and is more than up to the task. At one point the conversation turned, by Glover's own doing, about a player being suspected of lacking motivation and what Glover stated about it I found intriguging. He mentioned that when a player isn't always a high motor guy it can still work out for a team to take this type of player if they already have other highly motivated player(s) on the team to raise the intensity level for such a player. He referenced when the Ravens drafted DT Haloti Ngata, who has been accused in the past of taking plays off, and pairing him with a very highly inspiring Ray Lewis. The results were positive and he also said that DTs are more inclined to fall into this type of category. I thought that this was pretty interesting and at first it raised an immediate question to me. I began to wonder if we had this type of player (Ray Lewis) currently on our roster. At first I had to say no but then it just occurred to me that this might be what the Bills were looking for when they went after Stroud. He's not only manning the DT position, which is a position of suspicion for lack of motivation, but he's a firey type of player in the mode of a Ray Lewis. He also feels like he has something to prove, which not only causes his motivation but also fuels it. I was a big proponent for DT Shaun Rogers but after hearing Glover's interview I am now very happy that we didn't sign him. He appears to be the complete opposite of what this position and what type of player this franchise needs very badly. I was only bringing up Glover's interview because I was wondering if the Bills even had this type of leader but during this post it came to me like a ton of bricks about Stroud. It was kind of like that mission statement that Jerry Maguire started writing and couldn't turn off the idea or concept of it because it was an instant revelation for him.

Listen, I don't want any animosity with you or anyone else on this board. I came up with this idea all by myself of making this trade, I didn't get it from a Jets fan. Does it really matter who we trade with if it makes us a better team? Me personnally, I don't think so but that is just my opinion. If someone else thinks differently I'm cool with it. If you think that it's a terrible idea, I'll respect it. I don't expect people to agree with what I say but I also don't expect them to be belligerent either. If you or anyone else think that I'm full of myself then you're getting the wrong impression. I just like to look at all the possibilities. Some are decent ideas, others are lousy. I don't see any harm in trying to think outside of the box. If I'm not mistaken we made a three way trade that involved a division rival when we traded for Cornelius Bennett and paid for him pretty good too. I don't think any of us were sorry to make that trade. Were you?

Now that's funny Dino. This is not an impossible trade. I would love to get Vilma. We need a MLB and he's a good one and one that could play right away. What would be wrong with making this trade and then taking Tennessee's DT Justin Harrell? In the 2nd rd we could take another LB or a CB. The 3rd rd nets us the compliment RB with another pick to use. I probably shouldn't have gotten nasty but I just don't understand why we have to backbite each other on this board. I could deal with someone not agreeing with me or thinking that I'm off my rocker. If that's the case all the time then don't bother with the other person's post anymore. The constant slurs and put downs isn't very nice and doesn't do anyone any good.

C'mon Bill from NYC, cheer up, there's no way we are going to take a CB with the #12 pick. Would you be upset if we traded back and then drafted a CB with our first pick? If we stay at our current pick then you can count on us taking one of three positions and that would be LB, RB or DT. That would put a smile on your face, wouldn't it? -
Scout.com: Bills meet with DT prospect Derek Landri

I made a post that is still on the front page from an interview with Marv on 2/16/07. While it was stated that the O-line and run defense were specifically as areas of need they weren't mentioned as draft options by Levy. It appears that I'm wrong in my interpetation of it but now that the Bills have had a DT in for a visit I'm thinking that we could be taking another DT in this year's draft. If this is accurate then I think that we make it alittle bit more of a priority and draft a DT that would be more of a runstuffer. If we are going to do it then let's do it right. I'd like to see anywheres from Akoye to Harrell before we use a mid-day pick on this position. I didn't mention Branch for two reasons. One, I really didn't see alot of him and the second reason is I really don't feel comfortable with the current things I've read about him. I would not mind at all if we used our first two to three current picks on defense. Picking DT, CB and LB in any order is fine by me. The RB position can be addressed somewheres in the 3rd rd and/or by free agency.
