I think he would be a good, sensible addition. Him being a very seasoned veteran who has played in a similiar climate as Buffalo's only adds to his value to a team like the Bills IMO. I suggested Kyle Boller in a post yesterday but I think that Huard just might be the better choice.

This is always such an exciting time of the year. It gives all fans so much hope and excitement before each season starts. thanks for your time and effort. I haven't gotten into breaking down players this year due to a massive amount of work and financial difficulties but I would love to see the Bills go defense heavy in this year's draft and add a few offensive pieces in free agency. Keep up the good work!

Hey thanks for pointing this out. This is some interesting information. I don't post much anymore but I read some of your posts lately and I like what you have to say. To elaborate on the content of your message I came across this article about some of the Bengals' FAs. They are not going to tender LB Corey Mays. I could see Buffalo having possible interest in a player like him. http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=7524

I'm on board with the Bills going after the Ravens' C Jason Brown. As a poster pointed out in an earlier post he's a good runblocker who is a solid player against the 3-4 defense. I've been wanting the Bills to get him 2 years ago when he was a RFA. It doesn't hurt that he's a versatile OL. He's more than capable of playing the G position also. Speaking of Baltimore, it wouldn't shock me if the Bills land up snagging up QB Kyle Boller once he's released. The guy was making strides each year and really started showing some moxie in limited opportunities in the '06 and '07 seasons. He would be a clear back-up and would be a very inexpensive investment. This of course would be based on him being cleared medically from his shoulder injury. If I'm not mistaken he has been in direct competition with Losman since his high school and early college days. How ironic that would be. I can't see the Bills going after another WR early in this year's draft. They would be better served to sign a veteran in FA and it looks like the Steelers' WR Nate Washington won't be back with them this year. I wouldn't be comfortable counting too much on Hardy this year and I sure don't want to see Lee Evans get wasted by not having a solid compliment playing opposite to him and I believe that Washington could fulfill this role admirably. He would be acquired at a very good value and is accustomed to playing in cold weather. In addition to all of this the guy is a real burner also. I think that if the Bills could get RB Fred Taylor it would be a shrewd move but I'm not holding my breath on this one. I would love to see Buffalo step up and make a move for RB Derrick Ward. Unfortunately I don't see either of these RBs making their way to Buffalo but I believe that the Bills do need to fortify this position, especially since Lynch doesn't seem to be a player that we can totally rely on. If anybody has a suggestion on who could be a good addition for us at this position it would be greatly appreciated. One team's salary cap casualty/new management could be another team's gain. Not an original suggestion but the former Jet TE Al Baker would be a good one. What better than to sign another player from the division who I'm pretty sure would love to make the Jets sorry for getting rid of him. Last but not least is addressing another DE for a more solid rotation. Newly released DE Kalimba Edwards might fit this need nicely. Here's another veteran player who would be reasonably priced and should be effective as a role player.

If the Cardinals are to trade Aquan Boldin, then could

If the Cardinals are to trade Aquan Boldin, then could
Tipster19 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Playing with Evans would be a compliment for each of them, being different type of WRs. I believe that Fitzgerald and Boldin had similiarities and Boldin being in Buffalo would give him more of the stage. Having a WR like Boldin might make a TE less of a priority also. I'd rather have big, physical WR(s) and use our early rd draft picks on fortifying our lines (defense more) instead of using one on a TE. Imagine having Evans flying deep, Boldin running shorter patterns and Reed/Parrish in the slot! I'm not forgetting Hardy but let him develope behind some solid veteran WRs. I'm not putting him down but Hardy was in way over his head last year and there would be nothing wrong in bringing him along slowly. This way when he does get his chance he'll be well prepared. -
I don't know if Boldin will have any say in where he would go but if so I wonder if Tolbert could have any influence in Boldin's thinking, seeing that their careers crossed in Boldin's first year. We would make a good trade partner for Arizona because we're in a different conference and have great draft positioning. The compensation that we can offer should be better than most other teams out there.

Guy on Billszone claiming he works for the Bills...
Tipster19 replied to 2003's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When Haynesworth stomped on Gurode's head it disgusted me but I've changed my mind since then. This would be a welcomed attitude change for this team. No more nice guys please. I would love to see the Bills be a bunch of nasty, head stomping maniacs that are looking to taking no prisoners. We have players that think that they are thugs off the field but play like pansies on it. I say let's go get players that will at least play with some violence on the field. I'm tired of the fundraising players that have been making up our roster over the last several years. We don't need anymore boyscouts, we need some green beret mentality. -
Many Reports that Michael Huff to be cut
Tipster19 replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Convert Huff to a hybrid LB for the Cover 2. It looks like we're going to be stuck with this defensive scheme anyways. -
Under the Belichick watch four assistant coaches have fled, one being Mangurian. I'm not impressed so far with Schonert and we under utilize our TEs. The Patriots have not only been consistent but also creative the several years and tapping into some of their schemes and philosophies would be a welcomed change of pace for us. It doesn't hurt that the Patriots are within our division and what better way to combat a foe than to get some of their inside secrets? It's probably too late because it looks like he's headed to Tampa but this is the kind of addition that would be more effective than us taking coaches from losing franchises. http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patr...oach_departing/

I'm would like to amend my title to this post. Although I would like Fassel as our OC I do believe that it would be a shrewd move to name an experienced former head coach as our OC. There would be a twofold reason for this. First, he'd be experienced and we could surely use better leadership at this point. Secondly, if Jauron were to falter next year then we would already have a logical candidate in the franchise to succeed him. The OC would also have some kind of familiarity with our staff and players if that were to happen.
-
We need a more open offense than this dink and dunk offense. Fassel is a heck a lot better than anything that we have had in the last several years. Having Jauron under the microscope this last year doesn't hurt either. If Jauron falters again this upcoming year than what better than to have an experienced ex head coach/current OC on the roster?

The Cowboys are rumored to be seriously considering
Tipster19 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't mind TO in Buffalo, not one bit. It would be interesting to see him play against a Bill Parcell oriented team and against probably his biggest adversary in Randy Moss. If not for nothing it would be quite intriguing to watch all the drama in our division next year, not to mention that he would be a great attraction at the gate also. I'll go a step further and go on record as to saying that if Rex Grossman is available we should get him as a replacement for Losman and competition for Edwards. What better compliment to Evans than a big, accomplished WR like TO, especially now that Hardy is going to be laid up? -
I want some Snot Dripping, Deranged, Criminal Thugs

All I want to know is who were the biggest chokers to come out of Western New York, the 2008 Buffalo Bills or Kenneth Bianchi and Angelo Buono (Hillside Stranglers)? -

Forget the wifebeaters, they are too much of a coward. I personally prefer something along the lines of a gun toting drug trafficker, at least they are willing to take some risks and aren't afraid of their own shadows. -

The way things have been going for the last several years for the Bills I'd be willing to try anything. Here's the kicker, even if we wanted him, he wouldn't come here anyways. LOL! -
I'm glad that you posted this because I heard the same interview and was debating if I should post it. I'll tell you what I didn't appreciate in what he said. Bruce was not shy one bit about his greatness and he did lavish praise on old man Wilson and Andre Reed but when he went on and on about how Reggie White had complimentary bookends in Sean Jones and Clyde Simmons and that he did it on his own. That's when I almost barfed. He should kiss Phil Hansen's @$$ that selfish prick. No doubt Bruce's accomplishments were phenomenal but his ego truly diminishes his play IMO. He didn't mention Hansen at all. What's up with that??!!!

If you support the Bills now nothing will ever change.
Tipster19 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Accepting what Wilson has been doing only allows him to continue it. The past decade has been very disappointing and embarrassing. Even Bidwell has taken steps to improve the outlook of his franchise and the Bengals were forced to at least try and do something about theirs, even though it had to be league enforced. Wilson is one of the last Mustache Petes. I don't like Jerry Jones or Daniel Snyder but one does have to applaud their passion, effort and committment to improving their franchise, regardless if they are successful at it or not. Right after the Cleveland game I suggested a boycott against what was happening and I promptly got flamed for it. Within the next couple of weeks that followed that game I noticed others started posting similiar sentiments and it got more favorable responses. What are we doing? Sitting on our hands and stifling our voices? The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. It's time as a Bills nation to force Ralph's hand and not be afraid to succumb to a relocation threat. He hasn't done anything to insure the future of this franchise of staying in Buffalo after his demise. The guy is 90 freaking years old! How much time do you think he has left? If he isn't forced to change the future success of this franchise while it's in Buffalo then someone else will in another city after he's gone. Don't let fear or fear of lost keep you from being courageous. Keeping the Bills in Buffalo and letting them be perrennial losers is not doing them any service or properly reflecting who we are as a community. The Bills and their fans are laughingstocks and are starting to become a big public pain in the @$$ nationally for the NFL. All we do as fans is cry and all the Bills do as a team is lose. It's time to grab a backbone and let go of the wishbone. Acceptance is a sign of condoning Wilson's stubborn cheap @$$ ways. Stand up and be proud, regardless of the consequences. Dignity at this point is invaluable. -
Here's what I have decided to do.
Tipster19 replied to B-L&hotwings's topic in Off the Wall Archives
That's The Dean for ya. It's usually a derogatory, snide remark made. A typical Bills' fan, cheapshots taken based on opinion and ego. LOL! -
I love the Bills and that is exactly why I'm not going to support them in the upcoming season. I've been a diehard fan for 35 years and enough is enough. I post infrequently now and get flamed for the little I do but I post this because it's the perfect opportunity to make a difference. I don't really give a sh-- what any of you think but I can put up with your rude remarks, put downs and slanders if it can get the needed results to make this once proud franchise respectable again. Wilson has and always will do whatever he wants to and we'll swallow it. If you currently support this team then nothing will change. We'll be a middle of the road team at best and never even threaten success but if you stop Wilson's revenue then it will certainly not only catch his attention but also force him to relent to the fans' expectations or move this team. Are you ready for the consequences if that were to happen? I am because I'd rather lose this franchise to another city than to watch it wallow and drown because of a stubborn old man. I love this team so much that I'd be willing for it to relocate because you know that the needed changes and improvements would be made because of the appeal and marketability for the new fanbase. Flood the media, clubhouse and whatever means that allows your voice to be heard. Stop spending money for game tickets, team merchandise and any other form of revenue that would land up in Wilson's pocket. It nothing personal, it's just a disagreement with his thinking and you and I have that right. We have the right to disagree with what has and is happening to this franchise. It's not just Wilson's team, it's our team too. What I'm proposing is a hard thing to phantom and to execute. It's like turning your back on a dearly loved family member who you believe is not doing the right thing. A family member who is not taking care of themselves properly or hurting the ones who love them and try to support them but to no avail. It's called tough love. The problem with not standing up to Wilson and going along with his indifference is that there isn't a rehab facility or program for an NFL football team but there will still be heartbroken supporters mourning the lost of a dysfunctional loved one.
