TOD 7/22: Best ways to enjoy camp
BuffalothruMyVeins replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How do you "get somebody to invite you into the tents"? I will be at TC on the 2nd and 4th, looking forward to it! -

I'm not sure where the question is...? -

Where can night practice tickets be picked up? I still haven't seen anywhere where they say they can be picked up, and I hope they announce it soon! -
In fact, I think that in ways Brees is HELPED by how poor his team us, as in the 3rd and 4th quarters, they are throwing the ball around, still, trying to catch up when their defense lets the other team continually go down the field and score, instead of running the ball late in the game because they have the lead and they're trying to put the game to bed by killing the clock.

Pick your QB for the next 10 years
BuffalothruMyVeins replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
God I hope so. I've been rooting for the goons we keep running out at QB, and each one of them... well... you know. If my Fandom is a kiss of death, I just became the biggest Patriots fan. -

Brady. He will probably play another 10 years, and I like my chances... -
NFL.com Making the Leap: Ronald Darby

I would want to see him do it twice, before considering Gilmore expendable. McKelvin was good in 2013, but regressed in the next two seasons. -
I used to listen just about every day for the first couple years, but I haven't listened for at least 6 months, as I got a little tired of the Bills sales pitch in every show, and there are just a finite amount of interesting guests about a limited topic such as Bills Football to fill a 250 shows per year demand. I have started listening again the last couple days, when I heard that the format is changing a little. I liked it when he would include his producer Jay into the conversation, so I think the guest host will really improve the show.

John Murphy's new co-host

I would think if they were going to make such a format switch, I would think they would trial it for a couple weeks to see if it works, before announcing it. That's why I'm skeptical of the Reuben Brown possibility, because it hasn't been done enough to see if it would work, I would think. That's why I think Kelso is a possibility, as there is already a known chemistry between the two. But I feel like that might be kind of a flat show, and Kelso seems to have other business interests that would not make him available daily. -
I think Boyd's limitations were masked by Sammy in college, as they ran such a rediculous percentage of routes of 5 yards or less (outs, slants, screens) to him, because they wanted the ball in the hands of their best player (Watkins) and we're relying on one of their worst starters to get it to him, so deep patterns were inaccurate and therefore ineffective, so they got the ball in Sammy's hands early, and let him shake a guy or two to get his 15-20 yards, instead of trying to get the ball on-the-fly for 15-20 yards, a less reliable proposition.

Restaurant Guide To Buffalo For Visitors
BuffalothruMyVeins replied to plenzmd1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What is so great about it? I'm headed to SJF for TC on Aug 2nd, and then will spend a day in Buffalo on the 3rd before getting back to catch practice on the 4th, and am looking to find some good places to eat, and LA Divina sounds like a place to hit. Is it in the "authentic mexican" side of things, or just really well done tacos...? And I can guarantee that we will be at the Buffalo Brew Pub at least once, I love their wings. -
It is an interesting idea, but I think to bring in Cardale or EJ on the field, that somewhat tips our hand that it is more likely to be a running play, as we don't have our best passer on the field, and are bringing on a more (supposedly) durable player to execute a zone read run play, where if they run it and get hit hard, it's not your starting qb being open to injury. And if we do it all preseason long, that doesn't help too much in that either we give away some of our best short-yardage plays for other teams to have on tape, or we run vanilla 2 point attempts, and therefore not really learn anything about our ability to convert, because those won't even be the plays we attempt during the actual season.

Karlos went #feastmode in offseason
BuffalothruMyVeins replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I remember stories of an embarrassed-at-his-physique Bruce Smith, whor straightened up and turned out pretty good. That'said what I'll hope for. Yes sir, best RB in Bills history... or cut after nextensive season... either way, I will hedge my bet. -

Honestly I didn't realize Robey was such a liability... I know he wasn't as good as he was his first year under Perrine, but didn't quite realize the liability he was. Also... who is Sterling Moore? Have I not been paying attention at all? Is he the rookie 6th rounder from USC? -

The Bengals Have Signed UB's Joe Licata

Haha... I believe I entered the caveat "... who can play..." in that statement. -
I've never been to Wisconsin, and that town does definitely have a very scary vibe to it... but I also suspect that many many small towns here in upstate NY could be painted in this same light, with these same skeeby families and shady cops... i worry that we're really not TOO far from them.

I'll settle for signing ANY guys who can play, I don't care if they're from Buffalo, or China.
