Interesting. That’s good news!

Having just returned from Buffalo on Monday, where I contracted covid (tested positive this a.m.), I can only assume it’s covid.

Interestingly, Brissett was the Colts' QB in that crazy 2017 snow game. 11-22 for 69 yards and a TD. Not good but understandable. Peterman and Joe Webb were 7-16 for 92 yards, a TD and and an Int. Something tells me that Josh Allen will perform a little better than that. My prediction is that both teams will be able to run the ball, but that only the Bills will be able to pass it. I don't see Amari Cooper as a snow guy.

Highest graded defenders for Week 10 (Look who's 1st)
dave mcbride replied to Gambit's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you were at the game and focusing on what was going on in the secondary, you'd realize how much of a threat he presents. He is very fast for a LB, extremely tall, and has an incredibly big wingspan. And he was playing with anticipation on virtually every play. -

I was at the game and focused on him throughout. He was phenomenal on Sunday. Just amazing, particularly in coverage. When he went down, the D went south. He's an imposing threat in coverage. Is he as good as a CB? No, but he's certainly among the elite for coverage among LBs. -
Allen's final throw, bad decision or bad pass?

And importantly, if they settle for a fg, you don’t to give the ball back to the vikings with, say, 45 seconds left and justin jefferson on the other side. -
Allen's final throw, bad decision or bad pass?
dave mcbride replied to TwistofFate's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yet he threw a ton of great passes all game and had his highest completion percentage in weeks. His arm is fine. It was just a really bad throw and a bad decision. It happens. Honestly, he should have run it — he had a clear lane and would have gotten the first down. -
Wawrow hints an Internal Issues with the Bills

The defense gave up 13 points in the second half. In a normal world, the Bills win that game 27-23. It was 24-10 at halftime. -

Wawrow hints an Internal Issues with the Bills

Ironically, on two consecutive plays, failed qb sneaks resulted in outcomes where each team’s percentage of winning the game dropped to roughly one percent (lower for the vikings; below one percent). But both teams overcame the failed sneaks. -
He’s not a bum, no, but he has been targeted precisely zero times in his short career with the Bills, and my point it is that it wasn’t going to start with 4th down play meant to ice the game. Doesn’t mean he shouldn’t have thrown it to him, of course!

Our injuries in the secondary are killing us
dave mcbride replied to Cray51's topic in The Stadium Wall
I thought this passage from Joe B was interesting: 5. The Edmunds difference? After two weeks of inefficient run defending, the Bills seemed like they had their issues figured out in the first half. With both Matt Milano and Tremaine Edmunds in the lineup, the Vikings managed only 22 yards on six carries from their running backs. They were sound up front, the defensive tackles were winning their matchups on the interior and Edmunds and Milano were significant pieces to those efforts. Edmunds was able to get through the first half before having to sit out the rest of the game due to a groin injury, and you can’t help but wonder if Dalvin Cook’s 81-yard touchdown run would have gone differently had Edmunds been on the field as opposed to Tyrel Dodson. Dodson was on the far side of the rush attempt but got himself caught too close to the line of scrimmage, and he had to weave through traffic to get over to Cook. He then took out Hamlin while trying to get to Cook, but at that point, the runner was already getting into full acceleration. More than just Dodson is at fault for the big play, but Edmunds had been playing at a high level in his previous games and on Sunday. Over the last two weeks, we have seen how the drop-off from Milano and Edmunds to their direct backups impacts the defense, and they got caught for one huge rushing play by the Vikings which helped lead to their demise. Overall, though, it was a much better effort this week in run defending. https://theathletic.com/3879207/2022/11/14/bills-observations-vikings/?source=emp_shared_article -
Don’t disagree, but you and I both know that Allen ain’t throwing a swing pass to Duke Freaking Johnson on a 4th down play form the five. Christ, he’s not even in Allen’s range of vision given the way he set up. That’s not a good thing, but it is also true.

The 12 men on the field play was in OT — the play where Cook lost 3 yards on first and goal from the 2. If the penalty is called, it’s first and goal from the one and they probably score.

Bills had 12 men on the field for the first and goal from the 2 play in OT; it’s the play where Cook lost three yards. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35026502/bills-had-12-men-field-crucial-ot-play-vs-vikings

Our injuries in the secondary are killing us

I was at the game yesterday and I really believe that things went south for the pass defense when Edmunds went down with a groin injury right after breaking up a third down pass just before halftime. He was all over the middle of the field in pass D and was an absolute demon. He was playing extremely fast. Dodson was absolutely horrible in coverage, and it seemed to have the knock-on effect of other secondary players shading in to cover up the loss of edmunds. -
On to Minnesota (get this game in the rear view mirror!)

2-0 as a starter for the Browns last year. So honestly, not sure what you’re talking about. Granted, he had a great running game to work with. The Bills lack that, and it’s not the fault of the backs. The OL is horrible at run blocking. That’s the real issue when you start a guy like Keenum. -
Anybody see replay of Dion's holding penalty

Agree 100 percent, and Dawkins got his arms outside on the takedown.
