  1. Yes, and Martha Stewart is literally one of the models this year. Tracks with their demographic! https://swimsuit.si.com/model-years/2023
  2. CJ Moseley is a helluva player.
  3. Might not be so bad. It's a hamstring, apparently.
  4. I do think you should factor in draft-related trades too. It's tough to do this correctly without the trades for Garappolo (huge hit for SF; he was a GOOD player for them -- 38-17 as a starter for them and a career 99.2 rating for SF; when he didn't start, they almost always lost until Purdy came along - https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GaroJi00.htm) and Diggs (another huge hit). SF traded a second for Jimmy G and the Bills a first for Diggs. I also think they made a great trade for McCaffrey, partly because they had so many picks going into the 2023 draft.
  5. Riddick has been pretty complimentary of Allen in the past few years. He's a Bills fan because of his brother.
  6. TB and Atlanta. Atlanta is sneakily loaded on offense except for QB.
  7. If you're going to taunt Riddick, you should taunt Shanahan too. He's the guy who traded a fortune in picks to move up to number 2 to get him. When one does that, one has visions of MVP for that player too.
  8. Atlanta and Tampa Bay have talent on offense with big question marks at QB. They strike me as his best options.
  9. He is a far better option than what the Bills currently have. And given his arm, he could actually operate in the Bills system, which pushes the ball down the field a lot. He just needs experience.
  10. Agree 100 percent with all of this. Lance just hasn't played. Maybe he's a bust given his draft slot, but he's also very gifted and would be a huge upgrade for the Bills at backup. If I'm Tampa Bay, though, I'm looking hard at him.
  11. That’s not a McDermott problem, it’s an NFL defense problem. Because of where they’re situated on the field, MLBs are typically the players making the calls out there. They don’t have to be rocket surgeons, but they do have to have a command of the defensive schemes. For that reason, I agree with Greg Cosell, who argues that because McDermott trusts him, Klein will be the starting MLB but that Dorian Williams will take over at some point once he finally gets situated. He’s more talented than all of the others. Klein is a mediocre player with physical liabilities, but he at least can line people up properly and also put himself in the right position.
  12. I don't honestly know who is better. Allen looks bad, but he's had a handful of decent games over his career. I don't know enough about Skylar other than the fact that he's looked pretty ineffective throwing to a loaded WR corps. But he's also really young.
  13. Greg Cosell thinks Williams will be starting at MLB before too long because he's more talented: .
  14. Thompson was 18-45 for 220 yards, took four sacks for 31 yards, and threw one TD and two INTs. The Dolphins had 189 passing yards on 49 dropbacks, and 31 of those dropbacks resulted in incompletions, sacks, or INTs. Also, 3.86 yards per passing play is absolutely dreadful. So no, he did not prove he can play in Buffalo in Winter. Most of Miami's points came off of Bills' turnovers.
  15. Hey, Josh needs his street ball practice reps too!
  16. Good graph.
  17. https://wapo.st/3OZ8zLj i strongly recommend reading this Washingon Post piece, which features an interview with Michael Lewis. It may change views on this whole situation.
  18. I literally read this when I woke up this a.m. some good stuff here. That South Carolina WR sounds like a total freak. So does Marvin Harrison Jr.
  19. Good piece by Mike Axisa, who used to run the River Ave Blues website: https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/how-missteps-by-yankees-ownership-brian-cashman-have-led-to-new-yorks-shocking-decline-since-2017/
  20. I think the issue with guys like Fields, Stroud, Mac Jones, Bryce Young, and Tua is that it's so hard to assess how good they really are given that they are surrounded by massive talent at OSU and Alabama. As a totality, the receivers, o-linemen, and RBs at both of those schools in the last decade have been ridiculously more talented than the competition. Every once in a while, another school puts it together--Clemson and LSU--but they don't sustain the dominance. Georgia looks to be another one, though. They made Stetson Bennett look amazing. But I don't think he'll ever do much. Christ, we wasted a draft pick on Jake Fromm, who obviously can't play. As for Fields, I was down on him in college -- slow eyes and a pronounced hitch in his throw. I thought he'd get sacked a ton in the NFL, and he has. I wouldn't want him. That said, I was very down on Jalen Hurts early on his career (partly based on his play at Philly and partly based on how he played at Alabama), but look at him now. He's a terrific player and borderline elite. He'll likely have a long and good career. So who knows? One thing to consider: Ohio State QBs universally suck in the NFL. It's kind of an iron law. Maybe Stroud ends the law; he looks like he could be good. But again, the receivers he's been throwing to the past couple of years have been absolute studs.
  21. I dunno. While Chicago's metro area is a bit bigger (8.9 million), it's not that much bigger (Houston's is 7.3 million). And last I heard football is pretty big in Texas. Mac Jones has been objectively better than Fields (factor in that Fields was absolutely abysmal in his rookie season while Jones was modestly competent), even though Jones is not very good. You realize that Fields was sacked 55 times in only 15 games last season? It takes a certain kind of talent to be sacked that often. You thought Derek Carr was worse than EJ Manuel, which has stuck with me over the years.
  22. Except that they just traded up in the first round for a player that every evaluator thinks is an elite pass catcher who can stretch the field. The fact that he's labeled "tight end" is neither her nor there. What matters is that he's a highly graded passing game weapon.
  23. If you knew anything about me, you’d know this to be wildly untrue. I’ll leave it at that.
  24. Who knows? They were .500 last year and have some very good talent. I have no idea how they'll do. I won't be shocked if they go 5-11 and I won't be shocked if they go 10-7.
  25. I wouldn't make any judgments yet. The proof will be in the pudding. What they had before certainly wasn't working. Maybe this will.
