4 playoff games, and in every single one he has had a rating of over 100 (and he had a very good game against ATL after the first series). Don't forget his spot-duty performance in KC last season too; he was good. How much of it is attributable to Jeff Fisher? Also, regarding the last game of the season this year, the Eagles were in high injury prevention mode. They had clinched home field.

There was a huge difference between the 1991 and 1992 Skins - the difference between an utterly dominant Jim Lachey, the best LT in football at the time, and a hurt Jim Lachey. He was never the same after 1991 because of injuries. That 1991 Skins team succeeded because of its dominant line. Check out Lachey's AV in 1991. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LachJi00.htm

He spent it well. It's clearly his hobby, and he's good at it.

This is utterly awesome.

The Bills absolutely have the money.

He's not the fifth best of his era; he's better than all of those other guys. For one, he's a DOMINANT blocker as a TE, and far, far better than all of those guys who put up the big receiving numbers. Remember, for HOF voting, there are career stats and peak five-year run stats (baseball does this too - i.e., Sandy Koufax). He's simply better than everyone of those other guys, and I think it's flat out crazy to argue otherwise.

Tyrod wants to “Continue to be accurate..”

No, he doesn't. He's lower mid-tier, somewhere between 16 and 20 depending on what you value. For the record, I hate "he sucks/he's great" binaries. I don't expect him to be the Bills QB next year, and the team has to do better at the position. But saying simply that "he sucks" just drags down the level of debate and analysis in a thread like this, which is ostensibly about his accuracy or lack thereof. We have three years of good evidence saying that he's average in the accuracy department. Picking out one game and highlighting a 45 percent accurate rate -- against the NFL's #1 defense via DVOA on the road -- is the definition of cherry picking. -
The “Draft Capital” is over rated

I think Roethlisberger is probably better than Wilson, and I'd argue Rivers (criminally underrated) is too. I think Wilson is terrific, of course. To move into the top 3, I think they need to trade 21, 22, one of the second rounders, and a second rounder next year. Glenn won't be appealing given the contract and the injury status. If they believe that the qb they're getting is a franchise player, you do this in a NY minute. -

Part of me thinks that there is no way this guy sits on the bench next year. He is far better than a lot of starting QBs, and his performance, in successive weeks, against ATL (a very good game -- 100.1 rating), the #1 defense in Minnesota (which he SHREDDED), and the #5 scoring defense in NE (which he completely shredded too) plus his ridiculous numbers in 2013 seems to suggest that he'll be starting for some team in early September. Production/talent like that can't really sit. He has started 4 playoff games now and has played extremely well in every one of them. They lost 26-24 on the last play of the game (FG) against NO in 2013, so it wasn't like he didn't do his job. He had a rating of 105.0 in that game. In fact, he's never had UNDER a 100 rating in four postseason games. That is ridonkulous. -

They're a team that values the present highly as well. And they're built for now. (They're also built for the future by default--a la Pittsburgh, GB, and NO--simply because of the QB.) -

I don't think they should trade him either, but they are pretty lacking in draft picks ... -

ACLs are 8 month injuries now. I fully expect Wentz to be ready by game 1. -

Diggs and Thielen led the league in contested catches too. Keenum had a good year, no doubt -- and always bear in mind that when you play qb for Jeff Fisher, 15 points is automatically deducted from your passer rating. That said, his receivers saved him a bunch of times this year. Plus Minnesota's defense was #1 in almost every category. -

Kelce's speech is epic. His callout of Mike Lombardi is hilarious! http://www.phillyvoice.com/mummer-jason-kelce-drops-f-bomb-live-tv-rides-police-bike-along-eagles-parade-route/amp/?__twitter_impression=true -
Tyrod wants to “Continue to be accurate..”
dave mcbride replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's absolutely a straw-man argument. The Bills wide receiving talent is nowhere near the Eagles' wide receiving talent. Jeffery was the #1 FA WR last season. He is elite. Nelson Agholor is also a very good player. Torrey Smith would have been better than any receiver on the Bills this season. Ertz is great too - certainly better than Clay. Finally, they dumped Ryan Matthews because they knew they had better. Invoking the Eagles far superior receiving corps to make a point about Taylor is what makes it a straw man argument. -

Please don't troll me. Seriously - it's tiresome, and I think I speak for a lot of people on this board. I think the Bills need to do better than Taylor, and have said as much many times. But one can be objective about the situation last season too. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straw_man -

... but not so easy ro have a high completion percentage when you have the worst receiving corps in the league by almost every measure, including ability to get separation.
