  1. Another fairly critical piece - http://trib.com/sports/college/wyoming/football/nfl-draft-analyst-benjamin-allbright-talks-josh-allen-denver-broncos/article_a75af07b-e290-5839-8b26-018d91983578.amp.html?__twitter_impression=true
  2. The obvious reason. It is a qb driven league, and if you don't have one, you won't win. If you have a franchise qb - which is generally only available through the draft - you have him for the nxt 12-15 years. The ceded picks in 2018 will be meaningless by 2021-22.
  3. Pft with apparently someone in the know involved also has us taking Allen at #6. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/04/25/pfts-one-and-only-2018-mock-draft/
  4. That would be parcells’ son in law, not dorsey.
  5. The Bills will have a TON of cap space next season and can go big in FA. Times are different now - lots of good players coming off of first contracts. The draft isn't the only path.
  6. Stafford is a terrific player. Consider the team he took over. They were AWFUL. They have made the playoffs three times and should have won against Dallas in the 2014 playoffs if not for a ridiculously egregious call that handed the game to Dallas.
  7. The Bills don't have a quarterback. They will suck until they have one.
  8. Just gaming this out -- if it is for #1, I think a fair trade would be #12, #22, #53, #96, and next year's first.
  9. ... and worth it.
  10. There is no smokescreen. The Bills are 100 percent NOT drafting Lamar Jackson. That is blindingly obvious.
  11. Man, Terry P sounds like an outright simpleton in this piece.
  12. His unwillingness to wheel and deal downward in past years plus his willingness to draft a RB in the top ten last year reminds me of another senior citizen GM. Goes by the name of Buddy.
  13. Um ... yes he did. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WarnCu00.htm
  14. Agreed about Carter; he wasn't really a bust. He suffered a bad injury. Big difference.
  15. He could have, but that would have been boring. The cap/salary information was fascinating and revealing.
  16. Tell that to Lydell Mitchell, Lenny Moore, Franco Harris, Curt Warner, and Larry Johnson. Even John Cappelleti was a pretty good player. The myth that PSU RBs are bad is even more fallacious than the one about USC QBs. Their record historically is pretty great, relatively speaking, and even accounting for Blair Thomas/Ki-jana Carter/Curtis Enis.
  17. I found this pretty convincing, unfortunately. Hopefully the Giants aren't reading this: http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/23297367/2018-nfl-draft-new-york-giants-really-take-saquon-barkley-second-overall-pick
  18. We also know nothing about his medical report.
  19. I'll wait 2-3 years before forming a judgment.
  20. All true, but it is the case that the Bills took the second qb off the board in 1985. Randall Cunningham was first at #37, and Reich was the 57th pick. The next qb to go was in the 6th round (Steve Bono).
