  1. Espn’s home-brewed QBR system is laughably bad. The fact that he cites it is very telling.
  2. Most are supportive of Allen. I counted.

  4. Was anyone here asking that he be benched up to two weeks ago? Maybe a rando johnny come lately poster did; I don’t read every post. But as far as I’ve seen these last few weeks, the number of regular posters asking for this is in the range of zero.
  5. Peter King will be focusing on the Bills in his upcoming FMIA column: https://mobile.twitter.com/peter_king/status/1200250026997366786
  6. The one that really struck me was the illegal hands to the face call on Hughes. First off, he didn’t hit his facemask/helmet even though his hand was high, and secondly, if he did, that is an automatic 15 yard PF because the recipient of the blow was the qb. Yet they called it a 5 yarder! I didn’t see Any other hands to the face among the rest of the d-linemen. It nullified an INT.
  7. The NFL is very, very petty about this. It was obviously payback toward Payton, and Riveron should be ashamed of his pettiness. He is a fool as far as I can tell. It's partly because they empower fools like Riveron.
  8. Agreed. I always thought Tannehill had potential. He had some good games running a pretty complex offense for Miami, but between injuries and inconsistency, he never took off. That said, the good performances displayed real promise.
  9. Gore was a far better playoff performer than OJ. How much did you actually focus on watching west coast games between 2005 and 2013? Tasker returned 15 kickoffs for the Bills in his career and never averaged 20 yards per return while here. He returned 32 punts for a 10.5 ypr average, and never returned a punt or a kickoff for a TD. Let's not exaggerate. He returned a few here and there, but he was hardly a game changer in those areas.
  10. I don't think so. Polamalu was great, and Simeon Rice (122 sacks) should have been the 2002 Super Bowl MVP for Tampa. Hutchinson and Faneca were dominant players. Carl Banks, Reggie Wayne, Isaac Bruce (over 15,000 receiving yards), Hines Ward ... those are some excellent players. Gore had an amazing 2006 season, and arguably would have won SB MVP if SF had pulled it out in 2012. That season, he averaged 106 yards over three playoff games. The reason ST guys aren't in is because they play far fewer plays, most ST plays are givens (touchbacks and the like), and they weren't good enough to be regular starters. I love me some Tasker, but he's not even as good as Matthew Slater. Slater should go in before him. I mean, I suppose the HOF could have an ST annex - kind of the "special Olympics" of the HOF.
  11. Excellent comment; thanks. Makes a ton of sense. Jerry Hughes is used to the uncalled holding that'll undoubtedly happen on Thursday, of course.
  12. To be fair, that looks like a very sketch website. I wouldn't put much stock in it.
  13. Cleveland has to play Baltimore and at Pittsburgh. I don't see them beating Baltimore this time around. They also have to play at AZ, and they have the Bengals twice. I strongly believe that the Bengals aren't going to go 0-16 and will play hard to avoid it, although their win could come against Miami in the second last week of the season.
  14. The thing is, I think he himself is a little dysfunctional. The snowplow dad, the fact that Snyder drafted him because of geographical proximity to his high school, the cluelessness on the field (worse than most rookies), the episode yesterday (celebrating a win before the game was over against a bad Detroit team), and of course the sideline episode with the o-line all suggest problems.
  15. I've seen a bit more than that. He looks like he's completely out of his depth. I mean, who really knows, but sometimes you can just feel the stink. I say this as someone who loved what AZ did in the draft this year. They knew Rosen didn't really have it, and weren't going to waste time trying to re-figure out what they already knew. Murray is the real deal. As for Washington, both Alex Smith and Cousins produced there. Smith got hurt, but he was playing well. The team is not devoid of talent.
  16. The Redskins are dumb enough to fail to see that Haskins is a sunk cost and instead pass on taking a QB. His game clinching throw was inaccurate to a wide open receiver, and McClaurin made a very good catch. I know it's early, but man does it look like Haskins is a complete bust.
  17. And because Washington hadn't beaten Detroit yet.
  18. The Jets and Titans victories had their share of luck (CJ Moseley going down; Cairo Santos forgetting how to kick).
  19. The Cowboys did get screwed by the refs in that game yesterday, and the league is undoubtedly highly aware of this.
  20. Current forecast for the Baltimore game is high of 33/low of 24, 12 mph wind (in other words, not nothing), and snow showers. Weather will be a factor in that game.
  21. Yes, and I expect some tripping calls against the Bills.
  22. This literally makes zero sense.
  23. To me, Lawson, looks like the perfect Patriot given how they use players like him.
  24. I wouldn’t *ever* blame the ST coach for missed kicks (Browns game). The blocking and snap were fine. That’s totally on the kicker.
