  1. Bills fans are never again allowed to say that Tannehill is mediocre. He made a couple of bad plays early, but was phenomenal the rest of the way. I don’t care what his stat line says.
  2. … or dial up a touchdown play. One or the other. The sneak, which usually is the right call, was situationally not the right call.
  3. Agree 100 percent. They needed to score a td anyway. But i would have kicked it if the plan was a sneak.
  4. No he didn’t, and the spot was actually slightly generous.
  5. I would have kicked it.
  6. Been a long time since a punt happened.
  7. I expect TN BRINGS IT HERE GIVEN THE WEAK SECONDARY.
  8. They started that drive at the 10. Otherwise they’ve made 2 plays.
  9. Extremely dirty player. Of course, i don’t want to see him get hurt.
  10. The Bills play in the windiest stadium in the NFL, and it's the windiest by a decent amount: https://247sports.com/nfl/cincinnati-bengals/Article/Kickers-Nightmare-The-Windiest-NFL-Stadiums-105213973/. NFL TEAMS WITH OPEN-AIR STADIUMS RANKED BY AVERAGE WIND SPEEDS (windiest to least windy) Buffalo/Orchard Park, New York 16.1 New England/Foxborough, Massachusetts 14.5 New York Giants/East Rutherford, New Jersey 10.1 New York Jets/East Rutherford, New Jersey 10.1 Kansas City, Missouri 10.6 San Francisco/Santa Clara, California 10.6 Cleveland, Ohio 10.5 Minneapolis, Minnesota 10.5 Chicago, Illinois 10.3 Green Bay, Wisconsin 10.0 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 9.5 Washington/Landover, Maryland 9.4 Miami Gardens, Florida 9.2 Cincinnati, Ohio 9.0 Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 9.0 Oakland, California 8.8 Seattle, Washington 8.8 Baltimore, Maryland 8.7 Denver, Colorado 8.7 Tampa, Florida 8.3 Nashville, Tennessee 8.0 Jacksonville, Florida 7.8 Charlotte, North Carolina 7.4 San Diego, California 7.0
  11. I'm a bad predictor, but i won't be surprised if next week's Ravens game bears a passing resemblance to the one yesterday.
  12. Calf injury. That’s the typical precursor injury to an achilles tear if you try and play through it, so I expect he’ll be on the shelf for some time. Think Mike Trout this season.
  13. Darnold has been regressing, but the late-game play vs the Cowboys and Minnesota is still pretty impressive. The jury remains out on him.
  14. The Ravens’ running game performance this season is strong evidence that RBs are a dime a dozen and that you should never draft one in the first round. Their RBs (not including Lamar) have 511 rushing yards and 7 TDs on 120 carries, which is 4.3 ypc and a higher-than-average rushing TD rate (a rushing td for every 17 carries). The key thing is that all of their RBs were dragged off of the street at the last minute. A Bills-Lions preseason game in 2002 is peak bad, meaningless football. You must have been with some passionate fans!
  15. Allen Flutie … … … Taylor … … … … … … … … Bledsoe and Orton … the rest Fitz is a better player now, and the signs were there when he was in Buffalo. But he was bad overall in Buffalo. His play in the final 10 games in 2011 after the 5-1 start was third-stringer level.
  16. Speaking of today’s games, did anyone else think that not Jacoby Brissett on that last 4th and 1 was coaching malpractice? Everyone knows they’re not running Tua because of his ribs, and the qb sneak is pretty much always the best call there. And Brissett is good at it.
  17. Even if it occurs during the play and before a score?
  18. I loved the outcome of the Pats game, but I have a rules question. Given the taunting rule, shouldn’t that have been called in a way that didn’t end the game? I say that because it occurred in the play and before he scored. I f called, shouldn’t the ball been moved back from the original spot? I don’t know, which is why I’m asking. It easily could have been called.
  19. Those NE and Miami losses were VERY good for the Bills. Great outcomes.
  20. I thought that at the beginning of the season, but not now.
  21. Re: Beasley, Albert Breer in his SI MAQB piece said that there was no one in the locker room who was happier than him. Beasley gets it. https://www.si.com/nfl/2021/10/11/maqb-week-5-bills-class-of-afc
  22. My point is that mercenary plutocrats like the Glazers - who are *terrible* (check out their record of ownership of Manchester United) - probably care more about negative comments directed at them than anything players do. I’m not justifying OJ.
  23. And OJ didn’t say this about the team’s owner: ‘He also asked [Bruce] Allen to tell Bryan Glazer, whose family owns the Buccaneers, to perform oral sex on him. Allen reportedly responded that Glazer would “take you up on that offer.”’
  24. Indeed, you could say 8 out of 11 and 5 out of 11. The reason I say this is because the 2007 Colts are one of those that made the list, and they were in the same cohort as the 2007 Pats, which were ranked higher and made the SB. (And, beautifully, lost in epically painful fashion.)
