  1. Did he make that pick or did Gruden?
  2. Disagree - Kelce is a lot more shifty than Gronk at this point.
  3. My concern is that the Bills not-particularly-athletic CBs will be exposed in a big way. In the first game, they had White man-to-man on Kelce for most of the game and doubled Hill. Neither had a 20-yard catch and while their numbers were OK, they were mostly contained. Neither Kelce nor Hill averaged 10 ypc. I simply don't think Jackson can handle Kelce. It'll be interesting to see what scheme Frazier comes up with because the Chiefs offense presents a real challenge to them with White gone. There hasn't been a drop-off from White because outside of TB they Bills haven't really played a good passing attack. KC will be the best passing attack they've faced by far in the past 5 games.

  5. The Eagles basically have a Tyrod Taylor situation. Hurts can get you to 8-10 wins (max) and the occasional wild card appearance because he’s a good runner and leader. But his passing game is far too limited to ever get you beyond that. But because he can get you to 9-8 and coaches are terrified of running a young new qb out there and going 5-12 (with said coach possibly getting fired), I expect the Eagles to continue to ride him for a couple of seasons more. Also:
  6. They need a QB fast because otherwise they will be fired. Overpaying and stripping assets to get Jimmy G (for instance) is still a better move than sticking with Wentz. What's the gist of this?
  7. Maybe get a PhD in computational science first? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baseball-Reference.com (Baseball Reference is PFR's sister site and regarded by pretty much everyone as the gold standard for baseball stats.)
  8. This is pretty amazing - Allen finished second (meaning least) after Brady in sack percentage. That is remarkable given the Bills line and the length of time he tends to hold the ball. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2021/passing.htm#passing::pass_sacked_perc
  9. If you're going to have a second team, you have to give that team a running back. It's just common sense.
  10. Poyer first team, Hyde second team: https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sports/national/story/2022-01-14/2021-nfl-all-pro-team-roster What I find hilarious - there is no second team running back because they only have one RB and Taylor got all of the votes! They need to fix that. Seriously, either Chubb or Mixon should be a second teamer.

  12. It totally makes sense. The Bills have an upper echelon offense and he's almost the entire offense. Literally everything revolves around him.
  13. Basically the entire Eagles offense ran through him. He led the team in rushing and had 10 rushing TDs.
  14. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2021/leaders.htm AV is their version of their sister site Baseball Reference's WAR (wins above replacement) and NBA Reference's VORP (value over replacement player). Allen is first at 19 this year.
  15. That's not accurate. He was actually a head coach in college for six years at Cal and William and Mary, and immediately prior to being hired by the Chiefs as HC coach in 1978, he had served as the head coach of the Montreal Alouettes throughout the mid-1970s, where he won 3 Grey Cups. He was ST coach under George Allen for about 3 years in the early 1970s.
  16. Belichick was a longtime DC, not a ST coach. Yeah, I’d try to keep him as ST coach/assistant HC, but he is not the answer. They were a very lucky team this season.
  17. If he has poor circulation, then the foot stomping won't hurt that much.
  18. He's not running those deeper crossers (15-20 yards) he got open on frequently last year, though. He made a living doing that last year. This year he just looks a lot slower and less explosive.
  19. Edmunds played great in the Jets game. All over the field and a presence in coverage. There's a reason Wilson took all of those sacks.
  20. Tampa was apparently locked in on Vita Vea.
  21. Man, take it easy. I literally said that I misread what you were saying. Take the W with grace instead of doing the victory lap. The Bills didn't have a top-of-the-first-half-of-the-first-round pick in a top-heavy draft and needed one to get Allen. They possibly could have traded both their firsts to get there. Instead, they unloaded Cordy Glenn. It was a great trade. Full stop, end of story. I honestly don't even know what you're arguing about.
  22. I think we're talking past each other and I think I missed your point. Yes, trading 21 and 22 to get to 12 is obviously doable. That said, keeping that #21 pick in your back pocket as a bargaining chip if the bidding gets hot and heavy for Allen while sacrificing Cordy Glenn on the altar is far better than the reverse. Anyway, why trade those 2 picks for 12 when you can unload just one of them plus a big-contract player whose time is basically up instead?
  23. Great move, but not underrated!
