  1. That's it. Interesting. Never saw a Hobie fitted with a spinnaker. Ours only had a jib and mainsail. I miss sailing. Sailing the Atlantic coast requires more time and expertise than I have. Used to love sailing Erie and Ontario on boats big and small.
  2. Interesting. The rigging on that is different than the 16' Hobie I grew up sailing. I was trying to figure out what was going on under the jib between the hulls but in front of the trampoline. Something dark colored. I'm sure there are better shots of it online. Just caught my attention.
  3. The hyper offensive pace's biggest drawbacks remain: (1) defensive fatigue. D looked great yesterday but they need a breather sometimes. (2) The RB does not get the ball in full stride and get time for his blocks to develop in the same way as when his web is behind center. (3) play fakes nearly nonexistent. (4) roll outs are harder because again, qb has no momentum when he gets the ball. (5) making the wrong play call. A 2nd and goal in the 3rd quarter, they ran two horrible plays. I have to think they could do better given 30 seconds to consider each one. I like the hyper speed thing but going huddle or under center has its advantages.
  4. No doubt. To think otherwise is weakminded fatalism. In a time of peace, it's hard to stand out in the annals of history, but I'll take 2013 and a full stomach over 1944 Europe or 1973 USA and on and on throughout time.
  5. If you use that word, you are one.
  6. Usually a leftover container and some fruit.
  7. Well played. Lunch, workout clothes, files if I was working on the train or at home.
  8. That should do it! Great work USA.
  9. Why would anyone not go to Sheridan Duffs? Nothing in Buffalo is further than a 20 minute drive. Just make the pilgrimage.
  10. "Tom Brady sits when he pees."
  11. I think they should slow the offense tempo just a little. The offense looks squirrel-like. left-RIGHT-STOP-go-JUMP
  12. No troubles so far here. I've had it every year and every year it crashes week 1 though.
  13. If his workplace was a place on the Internet where people post anonymously...? Nice hypothetical. It's a free country. You can choose to bash a small town sportswriter anonymously if it gets you off.
  14. Love Duffs. Love the bathing in sauce wings. And they are always crispy under the sauce. If you don't like them that way, enjoy your fried chicken.
  15. The difference is that he can't go to your work and knock the d@&ks out of your mouth. When you all criticize him here, you attack his livelihood. Sure he chose to work in the public eye, but its not like he's making huge money doing it. Show a little compassion.
  16. You had expectations of the Footloose remake? Turn in your man card on your way to the other lockerroom please.
  17. What an asinine article. He said let Detroit (auto industry) go bankrupt and that foreshadowed the city declaring bankruptcy? Tis is like the kooks who translate Nostradamus. The car is the NSA and the pooping dog is Edward Snowden. Romney predicted it.
  18. FIFA rankings don't mean jack this time of the 4 year cycle. A few years ago, the US was ranked 3rd for a bit.
  19. Congress is lining up just fine for Obama. He won't get unanimous approval but he's going to get widespread approval.
  20. A few years ago, I went to my wife's cousin's wedding. The next day the couple asked us all to attend church with them at their megachurch. We had a designated door to enter and sat in a giant room. Staring at a speaker system on a wall. The pastor was in some other room. Some churches, like that one in Kansas, are enormous.
  21. Scary math. I was posting here somewhere in '95 or '96. I remember because of where I worked. Not sure when it started but I was posting here and the Rochester D&C Bills board at that time and eventually stuck here.
  22. Why not? The Bills went into the season, and played it, with the linebackers they had last year. And they may have been the worst group of linebackers to ever step foot on a field.
  23. Presidents have not had respect for this Constitutional provision for 50 years. There is no imminent threat here, of course, and if this gets debated in Congress, we may well follow the UK lead. No one cared about the first 99,000 people who died in Syria. The latest 1,000 won't sway people that much.
