  1. You were Dave in Norfolk right? That's your best post right there over two personas. Keep up the good work man.
  2. That was clear--the Hank parallel. Jack was just being exposed for the neandrethal he was in that moment. He was acting tough justifying keeping his "word" by killing a woman and threatening a child (not to mention the yuks he had when Todd killed the first kid) in order to keep someone hostage in a hole, when inside he was just a whiney worm begging for another 15 seconds of oxygen. Walt gave him the respect you give any 2 bit bully--bullet to the head and no last words. A perfect end to a pitiful character.
  3. Sorry Jim. You can go back and reread my post and try your response again. Why do you find that guy so intoxicating? Do tell.
  4. Talking about your man crush on the neo nazi "leader." Hard to follow, I know, since I called him the trigger man for Hank.
  5. Glad that it had an "end," not the BS Sopranos/Lost crap where the viewer gets to choose his own adventure. Most loose ends tied up. Walt, as he'd always done, had a plan and executed it. Love that he caressed Holly and the chemical vat in the same way.
  6. It remains childish to tie Obamacare to this. It remains childish of the Dems to not address the spending. The fallout from a shutdown will be bad but we will again re-elect the idiots making it possible.
  7. You mentioned him more than once but it's odd that such a minor guy got a shout out. Either way, he was squirming on the hook like a little B word who didn't realize the end was near. Guessed wrong about Walt's motivation and didn't even get to finish his parting bribe. He died like the filler character he was in the show life cycle. His claim to fame is the trigger man for Hank.
  8. Being under center made a whale of a difference to the running and passing game. Kudos to Hackett for making the change and well done by our rookie QB for making that adjustment in 1 week. Don't overlook how impressive it is that EJ made the change in 1 week vs that defense. He's going to have ups and downs but a player who can do that has a long career ahead of him. And that ball fake where Smith fell? Awesome. At least 2-3 times yesterday, the camera and I didn't know who had the ball on running plays. Few QBs can fool the TV spotter. EJ will bust off a 60 yard TD before long on one of those. Like Bill, Stevie Johnson has never been my favorite. A critical missed catch int. No big catches. His best play was a truly critical fumble recovery. Offensive line still a work in progress. I wish they could find someone to trade Byrd for since he's not coming back.
  9. Your obsession with that guy is creepy. Any deeper issues you want to talk about? You know he's just a TV psycho and not all that critical of a character right?
  10. Of course I teed that up. But Obama was thought of as a centrist to the right of Hillary 5 years ago. He coasted over Romney because we never vote out incumbents in this country. Just easier to let it ride.
  11. you think people are content working minimum wage jobs? Content, no. Working their ass off to move ahead? Only the ones who are at minimum wage for a very short time. you think they don't want more? Want yes. Understand the hard work that divides wanting more and getting more? Not most. you think they're of less inherent worth? Some. you think they shouldn't have an equal vote in our democracy? No. Every idiot can vote. Thankfully most don't or we'd have Paris Hilton running the country. And in the 80s, we'd have had 2 terms of the Noid.
  12. You're right that it's unnecessary, but for all the wrong reasons. Neither side has tried to seriously address the problem of overspending. The Republicans are using the debt ceiling to tackle the abomination that is Obamacare, which ignores their own party's huge contribution to overspending (unwillingness to make military spending cuts). The Dems just want to keep rolling with every social program. Who knows? Maybe as the **** hits the fan, both sides will actually agree to some real spending cuts. It's optimistic of me to think so. I suspect America's credit will get downgraded and both parties will kick the can further down the road and Obamacare will keep rolling. Weeee.
  13. Really? Before this weekend, EJ's completion percentage was high 60s so he can throw the ball accurately. - If he was under center, he would be forced to work on better footwork. Maybe he can't improve there but he's a hard working serious kid. I think he'd get better. - If he was under center, the RBs would get the ball with a head of steam instead of standing still. - If he was under center, the lineman would not be able to rush to the same spot on every play. - If he was under center, he'd be harder to see coming out of the snap. - If he was under center, they could roll him out better. - If he was under center, the lineman could pull more effectively on running plays. - If he was under center, his play fake might improve. - If they had more time between plays, maybe the OC could call a better play. - If they had more time between plays, guys could talk in the huddle about fixing a mistake that just got made on the last play. - If they had more time between plays, EJ could have more time to read a defense. - If they had more time between plays, the defense might not have to be on the field so much. Now, that's not fixing the fact that on every 8 man blitz, the outside WR ran a go route 6 inches from the sideline. And it's not fixing the fact that on the 8 man blitz, they never ran a screen. That's on the OC. And it's not addressing the fact that Colin Brown is not great. But at least just losing the hyper-offense addresses some of the problems. No they don't. Brady runs no huddle sometimes but he uses a ton of time, reads the defense, adjusts the play, etc. Manning too. They are not in the hyper offense mode. They just run a plain old no huddle. Big difference.
  14. This is spot on. I agree that you can find adequate guards for less than Levitre wanted. What is stunning is that the Bills let go a probowler and made no effort--none--to replace him. And on top of that, let his replacement walk. So the Bills went from pro-bowler to guy who was decent to Colin Brown.
  15. I have hated this hyper scheme since day 1. A variant is getting Vick killed in Philly too. You take a big X, draw it 4 yards behind center, and tell all rushing lineman to go to the X. Roll outs if they happen are easy to see. The QB is not going into a 5 or 7 step drop (the consistency of which would help his footwork tremendously instead of always receiving the ball still). The idea that a rookie QB working with all new players couldn't benefit from some time in the huddle, or that his OC might not call a better play given 20 more seconds, is ludicrous. Hackett should blow this up now before it's his job and he really hurts EJ's development. Jesus, even when Tom Brady runs the no huddle, he takes a lot of time at the line directing his guys. Poor EJ just goes up and runs the play with no time to analyze and direct everyone. This kid is a good QB in the making. The coaches need to help him though. How about no more go routes tight to the sideline when the blitz is coming? How about a screen play now and then when the blitz is on? How about more slants, since that seems to be a pass EJ is comfortable with and the WRs get separation on? The hooks are zero separation routes for these WRs and/or EJ isn't comfortable with them right now.
  16. B- is fine. EJ was an F. It's just one game and his OL and Coordinator suck...and he's a rookie...but I can only judge the field. EJ was bad today.
  17. Only way I ever sailed a Hobie Cat.
  18. Not to mention, a kid with footwork issues needs a drop. I have hated this offense since day 1. It's the new drug but it sucks. Tom Brady can run it. Not EJ. And I like EJ.
  19. Just because Wilson outdouched Stevie doesn't excuse his idiocy. That was a selfish moronic play.
  20. The hyper offense sucks. EJ and the offense desperately needed to settle down. Awful awful game.
  21. Wasn't that crystal clear? He's in tears and can barely talk. He drops off the baby. He's never been the guy on the phone. Etc.
  22. Didn't read this story but to promote a high class strip club in Philadelphia there's a "Delilah's Van." they park it on a street and the models get out fully clothed but in attractive outfits and give out coupons to passers-by. No one is in a nurse uniform or dressed like a school girl. But heels and miniskirts are the norm. Pretty smart advertising.
  23. Harder to bootleg from shotgun. No momentum and the D can see the qb more clearly. I hate that he's never under center. Limits the playbook. Hope Hackett mixes it up as EJ gets more comfortable.
