  1. Gatorman--the above post is something you could not do. Bravo ...lybob.
  2. I'm going to NJSue and second this request. FU Google. Just a few things for starters. Not be taken by surprise on this. Putin desperately wants both legitimacy and a power grab. If the US-led European allies had been on top of this, they could have applied political pressure hard on Russia. Putin, in his way, cares about legitimacy. If he'd been under political pressure, he might well not have done this power grab. Or, as Tom said a few times, have a strong and coherent policy on Russia--an added component of which is not casting about vague threats. Which aren't even threats, but the threat of possible potential speculative threats. Who can take the US seriously? Please, someone, call Condi.
  3. Kerry has Putin by the short-hairs now. Canceling the G8 in Sochi is our silver bullet. Suck it Vlad.
  4. The difference is that Palin got lucky and IS an idiot.
  5. Don't be such a simpleton: Russia isn't after world domination. That's not a possibility for any country.
  6. "red line" "consequences"
  7. Sorry Troll, I don't talk to you. Watching Kerry rattling the, I'd like to say saber but it's more like rattling the threat of potential possible undefined economic punishment, this morning on MTP. The truth is that if the US had been on the ball here, we would not have needed to go to war. We, and concerned allies, would have been applying pressure to Russia well in advance of this. The fact that it's already over means that, just like I said, we got caught off guard. It's over Johnny. By the time the US and allies make sanctions, Putin will be done with this latest global power play and we will all be saying "bad boy" until the next soft president comes and resets the Russia relationship again like Obama did. Russia is playing a long game here. Putin must find American politics hilarious.
  8. Let's see. Russia just took over a landmass the size of Virginia in about a week, relatively bloodlessly. To "maintain order," it is sending tanks(!) into Crimea. Now, it just so happens that this puts this little place called the Ukraine in a position where it has to split its military between two fronts against a much more prepared and huge Russia, and at least on paper, Russia is now authorized to use force in order to maintain stability in the region. Meanwhile, the US and rest of the world is only starting to say, "Hey a Vlad, what's up dude?" But Putin has clearly been planning this for a while and by the time countries really start saber-rattling, Russia will likely be done with its current chess moves and no one be able to do a thing about it. Remember when Romney got all that crap from Obama about calling Russia our number one geopolitical enemy. I'd say "we got caught with our dick in our hand" is pretty much a perfect summary of where we are on this. Note that this is a failure at many levels of government. State and Defense have a lot of answering to do. Anyone got Condi on speed dial?
  9. The US got caught with its dick in its hand here. Putin is 17 steps ahead of us, and 22 steps ahead of Obama. You see that, right? If we don't get the world to fever pitch outrage ASAP, Putin will gobble up Ukraine.
  10. ^&*K the inmates is not a particularly bright economic decision although I'm sure it feels good to say.
  11. Your theory of "once a F%^& up, always a F%$^ up" isn't a solution. What's your idea?
  12. There is a prison GED program. What's the natural order that you refer to? Putting people in cages for a few years and then releasing them back into society and telling them to be good doesn't sound natural. Or effective.
  13. What doesn't work is letting inmates do nothing. That guarantees that inmates come out of prison in much worse shape than when they went in. Will many take advantage of an education program? Probably not but some doing it will be better than none. I have a relative who spent a lot of time in the NYS penal system. In his 7 years (straight), he had a team of family members who had to lobby, break balls, and pay to get him access to correspondence courses at a real school. It worked out well for him (he had an associates in prison from University of Ohio) and he's just about got a BS now from [good school] and he's applying to doctoral programs. But we had to work the system hard and it fought us every step of the way. Penal systems don't work to make a single thing better: They just create a bigger problem. There are practical problems like cost. I'm not privy to the penal system budget (more specifically, I don't care to do the research) but offering an associates from SUNY would not cost that much...maybe make the inmates work for it while in jail. You want a degree? Do some work.
  14. It's almost like you're saying he's 100% troll. What a revelation.
  15. Was watching when it happened. Not that much skin --like a really low cut dress but her reaction was funny when she realized what happened.
  16. When you finish duping us with your next master plan, how about you don't tell us? Just do it, like crayonz/performer and let it ride forever. That would be a conundrum for you, wouldn't it? And by the way, you've been taken in, time and again, by trolls. Just fooled like the tool you are. We have had a pool going at another site for 8 months about which posts draw you in. I would tell you who is in the lead but it would screw up our game. (Sorry guys, maybe I screwed it up by posting this.)
  17. I'm marking them. I mean, I'm marking them as Manning comes off the greatest season a QB ever had. To be a good QB, you have to be a good QB. Some are mobile. Some are not. It's not as simple as they all need to be mobile--the league is riddled with mobile crappy QBs. The Bills have had their share of these guys: Flutie, RJ, Fitz. All were mobile. None were good.
  18. Gator and OC: Don't you see what you're doing? When you smack each other around, you merely give support to the other 95% of posters here who don't take you seriously.
  19. Enough already. Between gator and OC, there's been too much bullying around here. I am guilty of it too. I've never beaten much on gator but to OC: I apologize. No one is treating you with respect and it's not OK what's happened around here. Make your arguments, do your thing, whatever. Hopefully people will treat you with respect in the future. Same thing I said to OC goes for connor, Rich in Ohio, NJ Sue, and the rest of the people who end up on our always-mocked island of misfit toys. You all deserve better treatment. We can argue but you deserve to at least be heard without being ridiculed.
  20. I like a rubber-glue argument.
  21. 11 seasons with 10 wins. Sure he has Brady but he's rotated a lot of players through all the other positions and keeps winning.
  22. Grow the economy? Stop already. Legalizing pot is about getting easier access. It's not a big deal but stop trying to make it about anything else.
  23. Please. Legalizing pot is the right decision but let's not kid ourselves: It's all about people wanting to get access to weed. It's not going to help the economy, hurt the economy, or make much of a difference to anyone except to the potheads who aren't that productive anyways.
