Not sure anyone besides Chan is taking him seriously. Potheads campaigning for pot freedom don't get a lot of love here. -
Anita Hill for Supreme Court. Hillary won't win because of her sex. She'll win, if she wins, because of her connecitons and name. I'd be surprised if she can win though. The electorate is good and sick of the same old thing. If the Dems run an insider like Hillary, the Reps would be smart to run a moderate new face.

The TOS barely apply here and at least the stoner is trying to confine his unneeded crusade to a single thread. -

Who is arguing against legalization on this board? -

Who cares? Is there someone here arguing against medical pot? Anyone? But let me repeat my question: Is the goal of the medical pot movement medicine or free pot for everyone? Answer honestly. We all know it's a ruse for the stoners to get easier weed access. Do you admit it or will you keep up with the "medical" propaganda? -

Let me get this straight: Is the goal of the medical pot movement medicine or free pot for everyone? And don't bull **** me. -
Thor was always a BS superhero with a lousy backstory. In order of stupidity: 3. Thor (not a superhero but a god. All he has is a magic hammer) 2. Daredevil (Zzzzz...who cares about a blind superhero) 1. Superman (yay, he's indestructible.... that's fun for 2 minutes)

Great game. Stellar German goal. What an awesome month of soccer.

Wow--In the bar, I thought it went in. That game was a borefest. Hope the final is better.
-
Classic cautious game. Neither team was pressing too far forward for fear of the dynamic counter and thus the ball was stuck in the midfield all game. Definitely a borefest not likely to happen in the finals.Impressed that Argentina did such a good job containing the Dutch attack. The Dutch brought a little more pressure late but Argentina had the better of what limited offense there was in the match. I was in a bar (in Buffalo no less) and cold not see the offsides line clearly on the called back goal. Was his foot over? It sure looked close.

That's because there's only 4 teams left--so there are not 4 games a day like at the beginning of the Cup. Heartless soulless performance. I hate the pointless 3 vs 4 game but love that they have to come back out and play in it. They are going to get booed the entire game.

Quitters pure and simple. The USMNT would never be in a game like that.

I keep saying this. He's the most one footed high quality player you'l ever see. He's not as skilled as many others but he's a GD freight train when he gets going. It should be easy to defend that straight ahead style of his but he can make enough of a cut to make people look completely foolish and when he's at full tilt, that little mistackle sends him sprawling into a penalty. Lots of the time, he is actually tripped...and he embellishes the trip with gusto. Hard to like Captain Picard.

Germany definitely has the best shot at this point. They've played the best out of everyone. But Argentina is playing well now too. The winner of that match is likely to go all the way. Sad about the Ticos. Was hoping they'd pull off the upset.

The forwards were strong. The outside defenders were strong. The interior defenders were not strong but almost adequate. Where the US failed and failed miserably was their midfield. The midfield never controlled a single minute of any match. Jones was solid but more out of physical will than good play. Bradley's struggles are well-documented. Bedoya, Zusi, and the rest didn't add much. If the US is to improve, it has to be with some midfielders who don't make mistakes, have better touch, and don't panic on the ball.

Future talent currently playing abroad (some is 2022 talent): Gyau, Flores = Borussia Dortmund Ben Lederman = Barcelona Green = Bayern Munich Marc Pelosi = Liverpool Kyle Scott = Chelsea FC Joshua Pynadath = Real Madrid CF, although he will still be a bit young maybe 18

8 of the 11 starters play or played in the MLS. It's a fun league and the breeding ground for future US teams.
-
The US never has problems at keeper. Howard has been around a long time and a joy to have. Great heart. The great news is that the US young players are better suited to proper play than many of the vets. They seem to have a more possession oriented style and much, much, much better feet. The US touch is generally godawful but some of the young guys have softer touches. The US had chances, especially in extra time. Proud match. Klinsman has this team on the right track. Wonder what could have been with a healthy Jozy. Talk about a killer injury.
-
I'm saying he doesn't play at all unless the US is desperate for a goal late in the game. IF he can play and is in form, that would be huge.

Marquez tripped him. Robbens play-acted the dive. Like the guys who draw a charge in basketball and fall back and slide 6 feet. Level of contact was a 4...level of acting on the dive was a 10. I still doubt Altidore starts. Hamstrings are so tricky. The last thing the US wants is Altidore playing timid.
-
Travesty? Robben embellished the fall but he got tripped. The defender made contact only with his feet. Probably get that penalty called 70+% of the time.
-
Eff Mexico.

Some of that is that he had fresh legs. I'd like to see him in there earlier though. Bedoya has not done much to impress.
