  1. 61% and 3 times he smartly threw the ball away instead of taking any risks.
  2. One of the strongest athletes went "a bit" overboard when he beat his child with a weapon? You can try to link this to the evils of participation trophies if you want, but that's not a valid connection. What's valid is that our culture has at least evolved beyond the acceptability of adult men needing to repeatedly hit their children and draw blood to discipline them. How you got any impression of his intent is beyond me. What he did was flat wrong, very wrong, no matter what his intent. Clearly his intent It's not like he struck him one time and went a little too hard. There are marks all over the kid that show he was hit many times. The only way AP looks OK in this story is if the photos are fabricated or someone else beat him. I'm with Bill. Scumbag and goodbye NFL career.
  3. NFL is despicable. What did Goodell think "knocked out his girlfriend" would look like? Only when the vid came out and it was clear the league was about to be in a s***tstorm did they act. Why are they married and together? Who can know. You can have abuse and forgiveness just like you can have cheating and forgiveness. Doesn't make either one right but both are possible. I know nothing about their situation besides that he spit on her and then moments later knocked her out. Clearly he was in the wrong but who knows what their relationship is like outside of that single glimpse. Maybe it was a single event and they are in deep and effective therapy. If someone saw my wife and I in our worst fights, you'd advise both of us to divorce immediately. But we are together 25 years and love each other dearly. Relationships can be hard.
  4. Please enter at your own risk. This thread has been declared GATORFIED.
  5. You know what drives me crazy? They're fake.
  6. Romney/McCain vs HClinton/Gore 2016. Sideward!
  7. It doesn't have to be a legally defined contract. For the Wall, the owner can decide. OJ goes off. Not really controversial at this point. It's sick that his name is up there. For HOF, you can have a conduct committee. 5 people vote on anyone nominated for removal. WOF, HOF are just an honorific. Why would anyone want to continue to honor horrible people? Just pluck 'em out and move on. Besides the fact that I'm sure everyone goes to get their photo taken next to killer OJ at the HOF, who would miss him? Who would give a **** if he was tossed. It would be 3 days of headlines and then 5 years later, we'd all be saying, "Yeah, that made sense. He was a double murderer after all. And even if Kato Kaelin did it, dude beat his wife and robbed some guys." Super bonus points for mentioning Kato Kaelin.
  8. Do you think they aren't? Polian may be the best GM in the history of the NFL. HE had friction with lots of people. Again, who cares? People in leadership should argue. IF they don't settle their arguments and move on, it's an issue. But a cursing blow up? Meh.
  9. Big whup. If egos don't clash, the wrong people are holding leadership positions.
  10. OK, the only ghost that is real in the history of mankind is the one in Chicago. Why aren't there dinosaur ghosts?
  11. No. It's pretty easily dismissed too.
  12. Not sure how you do this on a policy level. That said, hopefully the new ownership removes OJ from the wall on day 1. It's embarrassing.
  13. 2 pages of waste disposal talk in the Bills thread. Less than I anticipated.
  14. Step 1. Remove OJ. Steps 2-1000. Who cares.
  15. Has it stopped you from being a political nitwit or is that part of your brain still scrambled?
  16. I believe in the tooth fairy more than I believe in the myth of your wife. I once had this girlfriend at camp. She's from Canada so you wouldn't know her but... I never thought of Robin Williams as an actor I really loved but then when I saw the movies all in one place last night, holy crap. He really did have a lot of great roles and deserves full credit for all the accolades he's getting.
  17. So will the mods also be deleting stupid polls and inter poster circle jerk titled threads like "Beerball found a girlfriend?"
  18. You and Bob in Mich should campaign together. Except that he's a fake poster and you, tragically, are real.
  19. "Hinckley said Texas A&M, which has owned the trademark since 1922, only allows the Bills and Seattle Seahawks to pay licensing fees to use the phrase “the 12th man,” and under very specific conditions."
  20. Has the "why" of this been seriously debated? Is there something wrong with the Ralph? 8 days a year it's full. Maybe a handful of others it draws a modest crowd. A new stadium won't draw more luxury box people. It won't increase ticket sales. Maybe it will get a couple concerts but not much more. This isn't baseball where the stadium is better than the game. I don't get it. Why spend the money?
  21. I used to play basketball with an NFL D-lineman. Nice guy. Huge but gentle and good natured. Would it be a good idea for me to hit him even though he could turn my skull to mush? I could try it. He'd probably not react or even notice. But on the off chance he decided to kill me, it's not the best idea.
