When the president threatens to break international law and violate treaties, it matters. But on a more important and unresolved note, he still hasn't justified the assassination, except clumsily linking it to 9-11 and to stop an imminent attack. They've handled the justification of the assassination poorly (no shock there).

But I thought Trump was fighting the Deep State. The new theory is that he was always part of it! So many narrative shifts. It's so exciting the fiction you guys write. IT CAN EXPLAIN ANYTHING!

Targeting cultural heritage sites is new. Intervening in military justice as directly as he did is new. Tying Sulimani to 9-11 though, that's a tried and true move, but still bull#### worth calling out.

Not a good analogy. Iran's military is hardly a headless snake today for the killing of one bad guy. If only it was that simple.

We killed a bad guy. A new bad guy now sits in his chair. Killing bad guys one-by-one is only going to prove worth it if it works to a strategic advantage. It will take time to evaluate that.
