  1. I'm sure he hopes the same thing.
  2. I don't get this line of reasoning. He won. His party is in charge. While he can't pick a total whackjob, he gets to pick who he wants. That's the way the system works.
  3. Quincy was a TV show. My son was John Quincy.
  4. You think they will both be moving to Spain? Tom is gay- we all know that. (Uh oh... here comes Tom to sue me! He's as defensive about being called gay as some people on this board.) Is Oprah gay too? She does have her special friend.
  5. I was just making a dig at Dubya Bush with the remark about the 40 gun ship. Madison had his good points. He was the father of the Constitution and all.
  6. Shuddup George. You see what you put Abe and this country through just because you wanted your slaves? Thanks a lot. I'll give you credit though. At least you freed the slave you were banging, unlike Tom. What a d-bag old Tom was- banged his slave and then didn't free her when he died. Tom was brilliant, but certifiable. If he was alive today, he'd be the unabomber. Ken- you'd be cranky if you were a founding father too. I'm proud of many things in this country- the expansion of government is not one of them. AND I WAS A FEDERALIST!
  7. Don't pin that crap on me Abe. I fought tooth and nail, but the red staters like Tom and George wanted their slaves. If I'd actually been around for the Constitutional Convention, I'm sure I could have carried the day and outlawed slavery, but "W" as we used to call him, got all dressed up in his fancy clothes, and who was going to oppose him. Mothereffers. Speaking of fancy clothes, did I tell you about the time Madison got dressed up in army regalia and stood on the deck of a 40 gun ship? This was during the war of 1812 and he was trying to inspire the troops. What a poser.
  8. Sorry I didn't use the veto. As you may recall though, the federal government actually understood its limitations a little better back when I was in charge.
  9. Dear Jodi: Now I know that you really love me. Thank you. Thank you. You bring me up even when you don't have to. I knew you loved me. I knew it.
  10. You mean broad generalizations like this?? You can't have it both ways Bill. Maybe what you mean is that you only like your broad generalizations?
  11. I've just got this crazy obsession with cutting spending, and am not so excited that the government has MORE to spend.
  12. What? The Republicans should be so proud that on their watch, they've taxed Americans more than any other administration? How do you see this as some sort of good news? Instead, you're happy that the economy has done well so that the government could sap more out of it. BRA-freakin'-VO.
  13. I'm saving my moeny for Teri's husband and parents.
  14. Let's get back on topic: Most liberals celebrate when a child molester goes free. There- your topic is re-railed.
  15. You keep bringing up sexual acts between men, not me. Seems like you are a lot more fixated on homosexual acts than other people on this board. And don't get so excited as to think I'm "obsessed" with you. Your original absurd post opened you up for attack- and I was far from the first to point it out. When you make it so easy to be criticized, who am I to move to the next thread when you've been such an upstanding guy to me? Wasn't there a cop in the Village People? You'd fit right in.
  16. Indeed. I heard there was a suicide bombing in Iraq today. The Conservatives must be dancing in the streets. No wait, I'm sorry. But I'll say this, at least Conservatives were happier about it than Liberals. Does my apology make everything OK?
  17. This is the B side. I'd tell you what was on the A side, but he'd call me a stalker.
  18. Linking us to the front page of the Washington Post is not helpful. Try a direct link to the article.
  19. I'm not head of either party, but the Republicans are a spineless bunch when it comes to money. Spend, spend, spend is their motto. The Republicans can attack the Dems on spending all they want, but right now, the Republicans are in power, and doing nothing of substance to reduce spending. {making me mental... must stop coming here}
