Yeah. It sucked last week when McGahee had his career day. Here's a CLUE. See if you can find it.

You agree with John Adams, and he agrees with you. Like you though, I heard the tales of the coaches scrapping the playbook so that JP only had to look at one half of the field on a given play. WTF is that? And like you, I saw JP misfire on enough easy passes to make me a bit nervous about the future. I'm still willing to give the kid a chance. A better line, which he didn't have. A little more time learning, and hopefully, he'll be the future. But since the Bills have a shot at the playoffs now, let him ride the pine for a bit.

Yeah. Big difference is that the Bears have the second best defense in the NFL and play in a crappy division. The Bills defense is pretty lackluster this season, and the division is tougher. JP had one job on this team: convert a few third downs so Willis could get more runs. He couldn't do it. He lost his job. If his confidence is shot, then he's not the QB of any team's future. If he's determined to get better carrying the clipboard for a little while, then maybe he will be the QB of the future.

Funny how no one has brought up Holcomb's INT
John Adams replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bottom line: Kelly converts a few more third downs than JP, which gives Willis more carries. And viola, the Bills can win some of those games. If the Bills are out of the playoffs by week 10, the coaches should bench Holcomb. Until then, this first place team is Kelly's. -
How's the Valerie Plame investigation going?
John Adams replied to PastaJoe's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Oh come on. Every president is susceptible to bribery of this sort, be it free BJs, or contracts to friends, or sleepovers in the White House, etc. The Republican concern was not one that Bill would launch the nukes for good head; it was to shed light on Bill's piccadillos and bring shame to a guy they resented. Again, I don't care that they did this: it's the dirty politics of time immemorial. What irks me is that they spent my fugging money to do it amidst the bigger and more important (but wholly undrelated to the BJ) rubric of Whitewater. Politicians will always dig up dirt. I don't like it, but it's a fact. Just have the decncy not to do it on my dime. -

Never said it was nothing. What he did, especially the perjury, was pretty low rent. Still not happy that the Repubs thought it necessary to spend tens of millions investigating it. -
First, see Wacka's post. Second, why does the government have to do anything? Whenever the government "does" something, I start getting all weak-bladdered. How about we see what the market does in response to this increase? Imagine the average consumer's solution to this. Commutes in a Ford Explorer getting say 12 miles per gallon. Switches to Prius that gets 60 miles per gallon. Problem of gas increase solved. By the consumer. No government intervention necessary.

Someone brought up Congressional investigations of "questionable behavior." The most notorious and dubious of these in recent years was the BJ report. If you were happy with how your boys spent your money investigating spermies, you got what you wanted. But, having spent so much money and time investigating oral sex, I would really hope that Congress dedicated about 1000X that to a probing a allegations of a leak from within the White House that exposed a CIA operative. But that's just because I have my priorities in order. OK- back to your soundbytes now RK. -

You know what? I agree. I downloaded that report before making a long drive with my wife. We read that POS and laughed and cried. If it didn't come at such a price, it would be funny. -

That's certainly an issue. Also fantastic that the Repubs spent tens of millions (but what do the spend-and-spend Repubs care about my money?) investigating the BJ. Thanks for that waste boys. -

No. You're right. I'm fugging thrilled that the Congress spent tens of millions of dollars investigating a BJ. THAT made sense. Investigating the leak of a CIA operative's name: that makes NO sense. -

Debit Cards for Victims of Hurricane Katrina

Is this 2K, which will undoubtedly grow, a loan? At an estimated cost of 200-300 billion to do the cleanup, our economy is pretty fooked right now. (Add that to the 300 billion and growing in Iraq and you have a whole pile of funny money... buy your gold boullion now people.) -
That makes sense to me, although usually the opposite is true. People are way more interested in the opinions of Sean Penn, Jane Fonda, and Madonna than others who might have more credibility.

Ooh- the rubber and glue argument. Without specifics to be sure, but keep trying.

I'm sure you'll let me know how your comment makes sense in this context.

Man- so many people in this thread look disgustingly ugly. This thread may go down as one of the sickest threads in the history of TBD. Really. Really. Poor taste and atrocious. It's amazing how many countries have reached out to us, even some of the poorest. It's touching.

OK. That's pretty effing funny.
