  1. I like everything I hear about him. I just wonder if he would have been there when Denver picked. Another 3rd rounder would have been nice. Ngata and Bunkley both came with question marks. Leinart, I like, but I'm not convinced he could throw in the Buffalo winds. What the Bills got was a guy who can play right now, and can play his position for years, and you know what: that's what they need.
  2. Agreed. I like what I hear, but the draft is about getting value for your picks. If he was still there at 14, why not trade with the Eagles and get another 3rd round selection.
  3. I haven't seen one projection--not one--saying he was a first round prospect. At#8, the Bills clearly could have traded down. Bunkley still on the board at 12. Ngata too. Yeesh.
  4. Philly fans are the best. That's funny.
  5. 1. Last year, Nate was toasted many times. 2. The Bills are in the middle of a 3-4 year rebuilding. 3. Rebuilding is best done through the draft. 4. The better the draft pick number, the better the players drafted (generally). 5. Therefore, trade Nate for more draft picks. What's the best case scenario if he stays? He has 3 good years during a rebuilding period. I say send him packing.
  6. My pet peeve: emoticons. This is my only little annoyance, like penguins to some, and myspace pedophiles to others. John Adams Law: the number of emoticons in a given post is inversely proportional to both the post's clarity and the poster's intelligence.
  7. I am not one to watch a trainwreck, but I stumbled on this one night and couldn't tear myself away. The recorded confrontations when these dirtbags got caught was unreal. This Homeland Security scumbag is unreal. Told the girl who he was, and what his job was, in the first conversation. My confidence in Homeland Security soars.
  8. The woman Locke did the home inspection for was Nadia, BTW.
  9. The blast doors don't fall to keep people from seeing the plane. They probably fall because there was an incoming object--like a plane--and they protect whoever is inside in case it's more than food falling.
  10. Like you, I think of a girl beating dead beat dad as a class act. I wonder if his girlfriend would agree while he was choking her. Or while he was smashing down her door. Or I wonder if his kids agreed while he was making millions and ignoring them. Classy.
  11. My four years of eligibility are intact.
  12. Well. You heard about Iraqis going to school in record numbers from some media outlet didn't you? Do you think that THAT story is more newsworthy than 89 bodies found in a mass grave? Or 80+ people executed? Jeez. Reporting that kind of horror is not "negative rhetoric" or being "negative all the time." If those things weren't happening, more good news might be forthcoming from Iraq. But the violent escalation of late is pretty GD newsworthy, especially when you're the one paying for the nation-building.
  13. Do you think that the latest rounds of violence and --don't anyone dare say civil war-- infighting are more newsworthy? The threat of that kind of fighting which cannot be said is certainly pretty newsworthy, especially given our confident rhetoric about the Iraq situation for the last two years. I'm glad they are going to school and had a democratic election, but I'm pretty effing worried that our half a trillion dollar nation-building project will be a complete bust.
  14. I'll save a few posters' time. "We're at war. Bush can do anything." "Laws are for pinko-optimists. If we don't break the law, the pinkos don't get to sleep well at night." "You can trust the government. Even if the government is breaking the law, it isn't listening to you."
  15. Don't get me wrong. TO would be a terrible signing especially with the Bills QB issues. That being said, the Bills offense would likely improve from 32 to 20th in the NFL just with his signing. He's that good. I don't see it happening, and hope it doesn't, but the guy is a stud. He plays hard. He's less of a mental case than Moss.
  16. I'm sure that's in the Constitution somewhere. You trust 'em. I'll pass and try to stick up for the Constitution.
  17. They care. Pinkston and Greg Lewis make McNabb look average. TO made him look great. Last year was a looooong year for the Eagles.
  18. The Eagles record in games TO played: 17-5!
  19. That's a cynicism that is likely to lead down darker roads.
  20. I'll be wringing my hands over my private life as long the government can eavesdrop on me without a warrant. The administration STILL has no justification for their unconstitutional eavesdropping. None. You can't google my telephone calls. You can't google my personal emails.
  21. Who hijacked VA's account? We all know he can't spell cat even if you spot him the c and a.
  22. TO has more TDs (100 and counting) in his career so far than Andre Reed (88) or Thurman Thomas(88). He's a headache, but a performer.
  23. He had. When you run sideline to sideline, that's 50 yards. And he'd already jigged and juked about 6 guys.
