The 2 early drive killers weren't. The Bills were marching twice and stupid plays by people not at the QB position killed drives. Shelton false start. Peerless drops a first down pass. You don't get those back. Tough opponent. Tough crowd. JP will have days like this. I expected a better effort from the defense but didn't get it. They got their ass crunched. The corners got smoked. The D line got smoked. The linebackers sucked. It was an all-out suckfest on defense. You want to put this in someone's lap: try them.

There's a thing called the LOST experience that people have been playing all Summer. Frankly, I don't have time for that. Still, it's an online game from ABC with little hints and tidbits. On Meet the Press today, Cheney said the US would have invaded Iraq even if we knew, like we now know, that Iraq had no WMDs. His rationale is that Iraq could have started making WMDs. What the !@#$? Is the rationale for war, then, that we can invade any sovereign nation that could start making WMDs. Of course, Cheney dodged and weaved when pressed why the US invaded Iraq but not North Korea based on his rationale.

"Glimmers of greatness"? Whatchu talkin' 'bout Willis? I like the guy. I want him to succeed. Cut come on. He had one good quarter last season. He's a long ways from average. Umm. I'd say the media widely recognizes him a s a loud-mouth underacheiver. Most of the media loves to mock him. He's done little to warrant much favorable press except make a successful comeback. Here's where you should use your "glimmers of greatness" line. He's never been a number 1 WR. This year he gets his shot. As a number 13 pick (right?), hed better be good. Nate was burned more than he looked pro-bowler last season. He's TD's best pick besides Moorman, but he's not as good as he thinks he is. Where are the rest of the 2nd round picks. Kelsay is not good. Schoebel is. Where are the rest of the 3rd round picks? Crowell looks good. Anderson hasn't done squat. 1 good player out of what--20+?? That's atrocious.

The pats have the best QB in the league and the best coach. I'd wait a little before saying they will lose to a pretty bad Bills team. But here's hoping.

4 years of high school with about 900 students. 1 pushing match-type fight between a couple of kids in all those years. Why? All boys. When there are girls around, the teenage boy gets all !@#$ed in the head. You rarely see 2 guys (of any age) just start a fight if there are no girls around. That being said, your best option for co-ed education--to avoid violence--is choose your child's school with great care. Private schools have issues too, but make no mistake: they have a lot less.

People also forget that defenses have gotten more complex and Jim had a hell of a hard time reading defenses those last few years. On top of that, he had a wall for an offensive line and HOF receivers and RB. This ain't that team or era.
