  1. I just did a little stat check. Brady averages (after his first season) about twice as many TDs as INTs 26-28 TDs a season. Jim Kelly in comparison only threw for more than 25 TDs one time (33) and his INTs were horribly high. Brady (discounting his rookie season) averages about 3600 yards a season compared to Kelly's about 3200 (these are eyeball stats). Brady is an amazing MFer.
  2. You on crack? The guy hasn't had a RB or WR worth a crap since he started. His most talented WR: Deion Branch??? His best RB? A pretty washed up Corey Dillon. Can you imagine him with Manning's surrounding cast? I hate Tom Brady. But only because he's in the AFC East. I can't hate his consistency and talent. He's the best QB currently playing and could leave Montana and Elway in the dust before he's done.
  3. Vanity Fair is a pretty-highly regarded magazine. It's often cited as one of the best-written magazines in the US, and its essays win national awards every year.
  4. Right. He didn't inhale.
  5. On Wednesday's Howard Stern show, "You like-a penis talk very much. High Five."
  6. Stop. Feeding. This. Troll.
  7. This is one of those precious hypocritical moments. What an ass.
  8. That was my request. Thanks for delivering! First, it's a pretty GD good thing that the CTMonkey isn't reproducing--let's all be thankful for that. Second, my daughter has been exposed to a lot of homosexual people: my next-door neighbors are a gay couple, she's had 2 lesbian teachers, and we have some homosexual relatives. So far her "goodness" quotient is pretty high. She could give a rat's ass that some men love men and some women love women. For no reason I understand, she thinks herself a princess and wants to marry a prince. She hasn't shown interest in marrying princesses so far. The social experiment doesn't seem to have gone awry in my own little world.
  9. Hijack: Whatcha gonna do with the philosophy degree? The American system is well-maligned but it's the result of capitalism. On the plus side, better companies offer better benefits to get better employees--my company offers one of the best plans in the US (Blue Cross's Personal Choice). From an economic perspective, offering a family health benefit from a top notch provider attracts the best people at all levels: from professionals to clerks, we attract a lot of candidates and get the best. (For a family of 5, the personal choice benefit is worth about $15,000/year.) In the laissez faire capitalist system, this sounds pretty good. Of course, this does little for the people who don't qualify for jobs in my firm.
  10. We have different experiences with government contracts then. I used to do exclusively government construction and environmental cleanup. And while the contract was a nice guide, we often worked without change orders outside the contract. Not because it was the right thing to do, but because it was often more practical than going through the change order process.
  11. You, Kurt, and Holcomb's Arm should write a Manifesto on how to save us all.
  12. That's a good theory. You live in a textbook somewhere?
  13. No tackles and no assists in 4 games. Back to you JSP.
  14. You don't understand the problem. If you let gay guys marry, straight guys will become gay guys and the gays will be EVERYWHERE. This is the beginning of the end of civilization (Cue Gavin and a doomsday prediction.)
  15. Want to join my health club?
  16. How's life under the bridge?
  17. Guess the GOP is afraid to "scare" up the base this time around. That he said this publicly is unreal. He went on to emphasize how great it is that Americans got a tax cut. That's all well and good but I can't get over the eff up that is Iraq. Oh, and I'm a bit unhappy about tax cuts when the size of government expands AND that Iraq war that I'm supposed to forget has cost upwards of $330,000,000,000.00 so far. That's only $200,000,000 a day though. But hey, I got a $200 tax break. Thanks Bill! The GOP doesn't deserve to win. The best thing right now would be a Democratic win in November to restore gridlock to the government. link
  18. Is this the GOP talking point to defend Rush?
  19. Fox said hed didn't take his meds for the shoot. I don't see that as dishonest: I see it as him showing what Parkinsons really is.
  20. eff u eff u eff u She's gonna drive a shank through Artie's skull. Shank is gansta talk for an improvised knife, riiight?
  21. (Now I know what they're teaching at Keane this semester.)
  22. Unlike the other poster in this thread, I spent a fair amount of time in the casebooks--at least in my first year. Like the other poster, I don't think it mattered much. I've done fine with minimal reference to casebooks post-graduation.
  23. Right. Someone who never read a case book could never understand the law, let alone even "try" to argue law with you. Your pompous attitude fits right into the law school scene.
  24. Please o great one: enlightened us, the unwashed masses. (The punk-emo high horse is one of the funniest things I've heard. Keep up the good work.)
  25. Maybe we're calling BS on you. We don't know the woman. Unfortunately, we all know you.
