  1. I'd rather be in your shoes. I can't drop a penny without a candidate picking it up for me. !@#$ing traffic has been a nightmare recently. Going to get worse no doubt. I haven't seen a lot of chanting mobs but they're coming.
  2. They've been doing that for 30 years. Why mess with the formula? And I agree. Never care for the live CDs even though I appreciate that they are an amazing band live.
  3. You said it brother: see below.
  4. The magnet power cord is also a great invention.
  5. That speech was unreal. Now do you all see why Obama gets credit for giving good speeches? Good speeches actually matter. Bad speeches (nuke-U-Lar) make us look dumb.
  6. Watch out PastaJoe! Could your girl blow PA? A close race in PA--even if she wins--is bad news for her. http://www.boston.com/news/politics/politi..._lead_na_1.html
  7. In the Year 3000, not much has changed but they live underwater.
  8. I couldn't really bear up to staring at him for 8 minutes but what's the point? Being more green, whether or not global warming is a fact, is a good choice? No sh--. I get that. His next step, that it's public policy that will solve the issue (if there is one), is dubious. Public policy is often idiotic on this topic: see ethanol. Maybe he had another point buried in his obviously academic punnett square.
  9. 1. Real estate is a safe but bad investment. Historically--except right after WWII and in the last decade, it has almost never gone up and barely keeps pace with inflation. 2. You will always be happy with less than you think. Try not to overspend just because the house is shinier.
  10. Age = credibility? All hail to Ra. The apostles were the Tom Cruise morons of their day.
  11. I use both and very much prefer the Macs. I know people on here will say they have problems but I've never had one. Most of my home computer time is Office-based apps, pictures, and Internet. Zero issues. Never seizes up. Never has unexplainable slowdowns. No odd .dll files screwing things up. I much prefer it. Setting up a home network was absurdly easy. All peripherals work flawlessly. Uber-gamers and people who need specific apps may have other preferences but I like the mac. And yes, it is more expensive, but I've never spent a day (or multiple days) trying to install and uninstall windows because of mysterious computer ailments. Seems like I can count on doing that at least twice a year with my Windows machine.
  12. First they broke out in Season 1. Then it was fugitive in season 2. Then captured again in Mexican prison season 3. Then Mexican fugitive next season. What do you mean it's not realistic?
  13. Phillip Morris gives millions to charity too. Where are my defenders?
  14. I thought LJ said he was in the room blindfolded when it happened. Still, who cares? I was glad she was dead. Why can't people stay dead on TV anymore. This isn't like good ole Bonanza.
  15. I've been in and out of that show but really, was there a big outcry to bring her back? She's a bore.
  16. !@#$ those mother!@#$ers too.
  17. If everyone would turn off all their !@#$ing floodlights, we'd all see better at night. !@#$ing floodlights create lots of blindspots.
  18. Good point. Much of my 401K is in index funds, which benefit (and take hits) from Phlllip Morris and Wal-Mart.
  19. I don't trust people who don't swear.
  20. I'm no lefty just because I take the easy shots at the right. I leave most of the left-bashing to the other nutjobs on here.
  21. Chekezie's exit is a little surprising. I thought he was OK and had a few good weeks. Still can't believe Ramiel and Country Kristy are not in the bottom 3.
  22. He's cute and dreamy and whatever. The guy is dumb as a jar of mayonnaise and seems to have the same ho-hum performance every week. In my book, he gets booted between 6-8. Glad she left that "Here Comes the Sun" in the past. She's best when she's genuine and doesn't step outside herself. She could be a College Radio/Coffee House sort of songwriter star in the Joan Baez/Dar Williams/Sarah McGloughlin/Shawn Colvin vein. I'd buy her album. If you are at all soft at heart, you love Brooke. If America boots her before top 3, I'll move to Canada.
  23. Screw her and her horse. Want to hear a wretched performance of hers? Click if you dare http://youtube.com/watch?v=txfuK1I1Opc&feature=related Revisiting that link to find it makes me want to puncture my ears with an ice pick.
  24. Yeah. Well. I know who's kept her alive thus far and for that reason, I cuss them out. (I have nothing against Red Staters in general, but who else is supporting this woman?)
