  1. I wish I had the time to burn a Bible a day. I play basketball in a Jewish basketball league. Count me as part of the consipracy.
  2. This Op-ed in the WSJ sums up the best arguments for why Obama's mystical windfall profit tax is absurd. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1217806362..._mostpop_viewed
  3. Bill and Steve are gonna kick your ass.
  4. There's a guy on the corner of 17th and Chestnut in Philadelphia who screams into the pay phone about alien conspiracy cover-ups. He agrees with you.
  5. The Jew-media also didn't cover my sh-- this morning. Guess what. It's a not a big story. It got some coverage but not a ton because it's a BFD story. If a mass bible burning happened in Central Park, it would get a little more play. In Israel, who cares? What should be censored are your multiple carriage returns between paragraphs. Lighten up on the spacing.
  6. Squeeze Peters into your signature dude.
  7. He skipped right over "black holes" and went right for the racist jugular didn't he?
  8. Michael Oher is the subject of a great read: The Blind Side. Compelling football/personal story book about how Oher got a shot at life because a few kind people took note of him.
  9. In the realm of hypotehticals, if someone does something illegal, they will (usually) be pursued. Most business people are not in the business of cheating and stealing. They are in the business of making money, which is why it's so gut-wrenching to hear Obama say that he wants to take a company's profits just because they are making money.
  10. You don't get it do you. They can spend all their profits on canned spam. THEY made the money. It's theirs. Not yours. Not mine. Criminals get prosecuted. Most people are in business to make money; not get arrested. I am owner in a company with partners. Not one of the owners (to my knowledge) is out to screw our employees or customers. Do we try to pay the least taxes possible? Of course. Do we try to maximize our profits? Of course. Do we lie, cheat, and steal? No.
  11. Find me any large cap or sizable index fund in a 401(K) that doesn't have shares of big oil. Keep looking. "Take from the rich and give to the poor." This isn't a McCain-based attack...it's an attack by a few people here who think it's wrong to take people's money just because they are making some.
  12. Either that or somewhere in the middle.
  13. Big difference between "feeling sorry" for them and taking their money for the sole reason that they have some.
  14. He's probably talking about the gas mileage improvements you get from overinflating your tires "hypermiling" or whatever it's called.
  15. Could it be that he's just eaten himself into oblivion and is using this time to lose some weight before showing up? Prove me wrong if you can.
  16. As convincing as "Who's High Pitch?"
  17. For reasons that have to do with a case I once worked on, I got to know the metals-bugs well. They come out to party when the price is going up, telling everyone that the sky is falling and they are so smart to own metals. When the price goes down, they scatter.
  18. That's one angle and there's some truth in that. The other is that on those crappy teams, Moulds got thrown to a lot (the same reason Jake Plummer has 30,000 yards passing). Moulds was a good player--don't get me wrong--but he didn't have Reed's soft hands or route-running ability.
  19. Is it that hard? Show up to camp. Get extended. Or don't show up, come to camp out of shape and behind in implementing the new offense, don't get extended, and ruin your chances of the huge money on the open market. Right now he's like a son who's acting like a knucklehead. I want to smack him in the head and once he starts acting sensibly, I'll give him a big hug.
  20. It's lame. Go with the HOF. Moulds will not sniff the HOF. Evans either.
  21. My read on it was that some guy had a theory ("Guns Germs and Steel lead societies to dominance and others to failure.") Then he looked up historical evidence to support his theory, leaving out a whole mess of other reasons for why societies may have been dominant. I saw it as academic pablum (redundant I know).
  22. Yet. It's only 6:44 am on the West Coast.
  23. Unitarians can believe in god, and even the Christian one--it's just not a dogmatic practice. This is true in almost every Unitarian practice (some of which are openly Christian). It's not a rule that you get your facts straight to post here. Just a guideline.
  24. The Unitarians make more sense than Christians and I'm sure most people here have heard of them. It's not exactly an unknown group.
