That was a "good" hold actually. If he hadn't held, Trent was going to get whacked in his blind side because the DE had gotten free. (Of course, blocking him would have been a better option.) They still needed 2 scores and it was late in the game then.

People can keep making excuses for Peters but a lot sacks have come from Trent's blindside. Not all were Peters's fault, but Jason is not anywhere near the pass protector he was last year. Not even close. On top of that, he's a highlight reel in run blocking. And that's not a compliment. He'll have 3 pancakes and then 3 plays where he whiffs on a LB who makes the tackle. I watched him a lot today and he is not playing like a pro-bowler. He's the Bills best lineman. Also not a compliment.

Trent had a bad game. It happens. Even before the 2 fumbles, he was a little off (though Royal had 2 drops and Lynch another). He really missed Reed in the 2nd half. Reed is a great blocker and a nice receiver. Hardy is neither. Parrish can't do that stuff either. The Miami D just clamped down on Evans and the offense was toast. I lay some of the blame on Schonert too. He abandoned the run right after a drive where the Bills ran it down the Dolphins throats.

I have been in games with 2 people with torn achilles. They both walked off (in pain).

If torn, he's out. If strained, just a few weeks. A world of difference in those. We'll hear by tomorrow. Torn achilles is an easy (but awful) diagnosis. Gotta hope for strain.

Hardy has been in a lot. That's bad for blocking and at WR. Parrish must not be 100% or I'd expect him in as Reed's replacement. With Jenkins inactive, I wonder if the Bills have a 4 WR set they can go to. Who cares? Feed the RBs.

In addition to a good Peters report, he's sure to note how much better the line is with Whittle and Preston than Butler and Fowler.

That was a dominant drive. Love the running. The O-line is having a whale of a game. Trent has all day to throw and the RBs have consistent holes. Fowler is out of a job. Maybe Butler too.

Couple polls today show he's cut huge chunks out of Obama's lead in the last few days. From 9-10 to 5%. He may be making headway with the economic issues. As a still-undecided independent, I'm closer to voting for him now than I was after he picked Palin.
