  1. On a bad pass, there's no illegal touching (like when a ball ricochets off a lineman's helmet).
  2. It was not a fumble. It was an incomplete pass.
  3. Preston !@#$ed up. He snapped the ball early. The DE went on the snap.
  4. 1st play is a run for 11 yards. 3 and out on passing plays. AWESOME!
  5. I think of it a missed TD. Stupid playcalling. RUN THE DAMN BALL from the 2 FFS. Parrish brain dead there.
  6. Coverage sack but I'll take it.
  7. What is this a SF home game? Lots of cheers on that TD. Why didn't McKelvin start for most of the season? TD #1 is your answer.
  8. 4 man rush does not work with this D-line.
  9. You think I haven't owned American cars? I owned 3. 1 was good for 8 years until the tranny went. The other 2 sucked. If you add in all of my dad's experiences with American cars (he's a loyalist), I could write a book on US car problems. It's how I learned how to fix cars. 18 years of roadside fixes--at least once I moved out, all I had to do is pick him up when he broke down.
  10. Schiff must know what he's doing. His fund is up...wait...no wait. It's down 50% in a year just like everything else. Guess he really did know what to do in this market! HAHAHA. As to the dollar, remember some things Schiff isn't saying. The US isn't the only country printing money here. The Euro is also devalued and is not a likely new alternative. Also, people flee to the dollar not just because of its value but because the US still has massive natural resources, political stability, AND the best military. The dollar is a LOT safer than Schiff would have anyone believe. Still, in times of crises his "sky is falling" bob floats to the top of the news. (FWIW, I don't disagree with many of his criticisms; I just don't see his forecasts coming true and he certainly has no better idea where to put his money than anyone else.)
  11. It's taken you 3 threads and 11 pages in this thread to make this argument. Japan keeps its yen low to encourage exports (being a huge exporter). The US has in the past kept its dollar high for many reasons (not the least of which is that it's a huge importer). You should have included that Japanese culture takes better care of its elderly so they don't need excessive pensions. Also that they have a national health care plan that doesn't cripple the Unions. Blah blah blah. Oh wait I forgot: maybe they pay higher taxes too. That must cut the other way. When it comes down to it, every country has some political advantage. The market advantage, however, has been tilted hugely in favor of Japan. Those automakers make better cars. I've cited objective evidence of that. In return, you cite a hack website. When I have my first Japanese car problem, I'll call you. Been 20(!) years since I went Japanese and I haven't had any problems yet--nor has my wife. Some of my Japanese cars were made here; some in Japan. All the cars have been flawless and several were used when we bought them so they were into their 13th year before we gave them away. I'm sure my first problem is coming soon.
  12. I moved into a 1000sf house with 8 people and am awaiting the horseman.
  13. Sadly, that's an advertising slogan, not a plan.
  14. Not as reliable as you anyways.
  15. I'm just saying: I placed my bet. Pay up DD.
  16. SNL is in on the conspiracy too. The Japanese control our media now? http://djkonservo.wordpress.com/2008/11/24...o-bailout-skit/
  17. The guy's a currency person. If all the money on the sidelines right now heads back into the market in the next 3 years, that might affect gold too, and not in a good way. I am not confident enough to make a prediction on gold or the market. You're a better man than me if you feel like you have your finger on the pulse of what's happening now. DD thinks the world is ending. DD's rants are just variations on songs I've heard from my years working in and around goldbugs--so paint me skeptical. Some say we're close to bottom and things will get better--I'd like to think that's true but don't buy it. There's inflation, US auto, and maybe some more bank fun yet to come. Beats the !@#$ outta me when this is over but I do think the worst of the market drop is probably behind us.
  18. Don't worry: I'm not blaming Team Obama at the expense of sparing Bush. Team Obama just happens to have a plan that calls for more of the same and will be in charge in the coming year when the inflation pressures start to mount.
  19. A whole bunch of other pundits predict a rise in gold (including Steve Forbes) and you want us all to blow you? (Wrong thread for that topic I know.) It doesn't seem like a stretch to assume all the paper money will drive up inflation. Right now it's offset by the flight to TBills. In the future it might be offset by rising interest rates. Still, if Team Obama is really going to flood the economy with paper, inflation will probably occur. Compound that with the fact that so many other countries are following suit and one of the only predictable (and accepted) measures of wealth is gold. Will it reach 2000/oz? Who knows? I have been in and around gold for 10 years (was involved in a curious lawsuit regarding gold at one time where I learned a lot about it). All I can tell you is this: the goldbugs ALWAYS say the dollar is on the verge of collapse and gold is about to go through the roof. Every post I see today is no different than all the letters and stories I was reading 10 years ago.
  20. high motor heads up guy smart player gives his all we didn't start the fire it was always burning since the world's been turning
  21. Why would you possibly care? Do you want to know what purse Paris had with her tonight too?
  22. He was an above average player for a few years who got overpaid and left. I could care less about him. Indifference.
  23. Bush has been in the Office of People Who Don't Give a sh-- for quite some time. I didn't vote for Obama but as far as I'm concerned, he should be sworn in right this second. At least he wants to do the job.
