  1. Why would the clock stop? It was a run play. No timeouts left.
  2. I have inside info that Ann is not making a career move although I am fully behind the Lori and Ann show.
  3. It's identical; even in the same key and time. The odds of it being an independent creation border nil. Coldplay is in trouble and will settle.
  4. Which of you is going to eat the cookie?
  5. There was some play in the Miami this week where a lineman was 17 yards downfield and pancaked 2 DBs one on top of the other. No chance a Bills lineman gets that far downfield. They are all way too fat and slow.
  6. "Cold window yummy on tongue."
  7. Wade was a good coach and decent guy. I was glad to see him go but in retrospect, that was stupid.
  8. DeSean Jackson and Eddie Royal went within 7 picks of Hardy. Ugh.
  9. Don't mistake me for saying Preston is good. What I'm saying is that considering what the Bills need vs. what they will get in the off-season, I think we as fans can count on a center upgrade and 1 better than average DE. For quality players, we'll not see anything more than that. (Sure, we'll get a retread QB to be backup, maybe someone's cast off ACL injured DE, a TE of no consequence.) With that as a likely reality, I can stomach Preston.
  10. Unless he embarks on a Jerry-Rice-like workout regimen to work on speed (first--which really means lose 40 lbs) and strength (second), I don't think he has a chance to improve. Based on his current fitness level, I see this as unlikely. Some part of me thinks the line would be actually be OK with Walker/Butler/New Center/Preston (did I say that?)/Peters. Obviously, the Bills need a better OG than Preston but I think that lineup would not be such a disaster if the center is good. If they could get a center and guard, even better.
  11. On that awful pitch to the right, it was Dockery who kind of pulled and ended up OB with his hands on his hips, having blocked no one. The Bills have no bigger mutt on the line than Dockery. (Fowler is not a mutt; he just has no talent.)
  12. Dear Mr. LaRouche: I can't believe I've wasted my time talking to you.
  13. I don't make those claims on faith: Toyota has 19 billion dollars in cash. More importantly (and unlike its American competitors), it has virtually zero debt. It is in a much better position to weather the storm of 2009.
  14. Really? It's their first loss in 70 years and that proves your point? No. The point is that Toyota has massive cash reserves and is in a position to weather this storm. The American carmakers could be in the situation too (Ford is not in too bad shape) if they had been run better. They weren't. Just because there's an unpredictible downturn doesn't mean they should get a lifeline. I work with companies that innovate and seek patents. Companies probably won't patent as much during this unpredicted downturn...should I get a bailout too? Sheer idiocy.
  15. As if it needed that disclaimer. Come on.
  16. During the holdout, I compared him to a kid brother who drops out of high school. You want to take him out back and beat sense into him. Then give him a hug, buy him a beer, and tell him you love him so he straightens up. That's how I feel about Peters. I want to like him but he often acts like a douche. Not so much that I hate him, but enough that I can't ever really like him either. In the off-season, he either gets extended for decent but not great money or they trade him. He's not worth breaking the bank and he's not worth another season of attitude.
  17. One thing you have to admit: the Bills have one of the best secondaries in the NFL.
  18. We're Bills fans. The most hopeful part of every season is the off-season. We're almost there!
  19. On the late 4th down play, he actually did get outside and then failed to block a soul. As Freddie is getting tackled, Dockery is standing on the sidelines watching. He's terrible. Bill, I'm genuinely curious. As much as you like Peters, I call bull sh-- on his behavior in the off-season and today as well. He came in late and took a while to get up to speed. He's had some great plays and good games--but also quite a few boneheaded plays. Thoughts? (I am not in favor of running him out of town...just saying I'm not having an easy time liking this kid.)
  20. The strength of the D is the secondary. That's been clear for a while.
  21. I like the Chargers. It's the only reason I want the Bills to win. Nice to see Trent playing well though. Not great. But good enough that I'm not giving up on the kid. Overall, he's had a decent year for a young QB. Bring in some vet in case he folds but he should be the 2009 starter. Other changes are necessary.
  22. Yeah, this team makes me believe. Please with "bursting the bubble."
  23. Wow--McKelvin got toasted there. Lucky.
