Bums me out. I wish the US cars would do better and stay better but still way down the list. http://www.marketwat...iteid=rss&rss=1 I drive two foreign cars now. Been through Honda, Toyotas and they are just amazing cars. Last US car I drove was a Caprice Classic. Wonderful car to work on myself since every junkyard had parts and I could fix it every time it broke, which was often. Not a great testament to reliability though.

The occupy Wall Street movement spreads
John Adams replied to John Adams's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I didn't read all the articles but I read that one. HEre is a short list of the early outcry. http://news.google.com/news/more?rlz=1C1CHJX_enUS441US441&q=Broderick+Johnson&um=1&hl=en&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.,cf.osb&biw=1374&bih=678&ie=UTF-8&ncl=dxL75hvubNzHxkMmAK4z0n7guzr2M&ei=IRKnTomoBOXi0QGb3oi1Dg&sa=X&oi=news_result&ct=more-results&resnum=2&ved=0CDwQqgIwAQ Tomorrow it will be more. By Monday, this will be on the wane. Again, there will be a little bubble of people caring and then no one will give a crap. -
The occupy Wall Street movement spreads

Can't see how this choice helps him although once the initial heat wanes, no one will really care. -

Peace still has his $10,000. Anyone beat that yet? -
They had no choice. Let's say a meteor wiped out the dinos. It is millions of years in the future. That's an absurd amount of time.

BTW, the latest episode was definitely the best in terms of building some of the larger plot. But more importantly, watching it with a kid (my 9 year old) makes me appreciate it. She loves the show. LAughs at all the corny stuff. Enjoys that stories are wrapped up neatly each night. It may have a lot of appeal to a younger demographic...and just enough appeal to the LOST crowd to bring us together. If I was watching without her, I might have bailed out. Now that she likes it, I'm in.

The Jersey Shore is awesome. If people think it's like the TV show, good. Stay away. We go to Ocean City 7-8 weekends a Summer. It's a dry town and that makes it a more fun place for families.

BREAKING: Gadhafi/Qaddaffi/Kadafi gets his
John Adams replied to UConn James's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Was at the gym watching the video over and over of what I assumed awas just some happy Arabs...kept noticing the guy with the effed up face and then I realized it was him. Too bad no one was around with a cell phone when Jesus "walked on water." I'd like to see the Youtube comments on that. -
The "Find iPhone/iPad" app is available as part of iOS 5, already installed. It allows you to see where all your geotrackable iDevices on a single account are at any time, and you can send a message to them, wipe their memory, or send a signal so they make a noise. The Find my Friend App is something that allows you to track other people who agree to be tracked. As others have said, if this is an issue with your significant other, your relationship is already screwed. And if you want to see and be seen by your friends, you need to get over yourself.

Lions trade for RB Ronnie Brown
John Adams replied to buffalo1983's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ronnie Brown made the Eagles second dumbest play of the year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMbyFOrfbSo Maybe they will try to unload Parker next. -

The Bills beat them but the Patriots are still elite and will win the division. -

Why would Cain want Romney holding him back?

The character you've created's nightmare is coming true. Black vs. Black for president. No way out.

Romney lands his first major punch on Obama
John Adams replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Magox, I am not at all convinced that independents will vote in big numbers if Romney runs. He's status quo. They won't vote Obama, I grant you--but will they really flock to another middle-of-the-road guy? Another George Bush? In Romney vs. Obama, I bet a lot of Independents sit out or vote Other. -
Without a doubt both. Usually, the response to the observation that she's beautiful goes something like she has an ape face or she has a big ass or her arms are too big. Some of which speaks to racism, some of which does not appreciate a woman who is in shape. Either way, it's beyond assinine to attack her for eating. She is in great shape. In any event, look around: She's pretty damn hot by normal standards...by politician standards, she's a supermodel...and by first ladies standards, no one since Jackie O holds a candle.

You mean you didn't like it when they spread the rotovirus by kissing each other? Really awful stuff. But I get it now: It's written for my 9 year old daughter, not me.

Yeah--and he's one of the few Republicans to also advocate cutting defense spending. We'll see. A lot of things still unclear about him. Right now he's just the black walnut flavor of the month.

The regressiveness of the plan, the 9% that hits the low income and leaving the gas taxes, certainly is a tough pill to swallow. I always saw in the flat tx-ish proposals a cutoff below which the flat tax did not apply. Not sure if Cain would make that part of the plan. I am for tax code simplification--not at all convinced Cain's plan is practical and the one--but at least he's trying to blow up the current system of loops and special interests and create something much cleaner.

I kind of get the show after this week. It has no interest in being a serial show--it wants to be episodic. It's Star Trek (as someone else said) meets Land of the Lost, more on the Land of the Lost kids level. That makes it less interesting to me but I hope kids are watching, as it's got enough light sci-fi in it to be fun for the U17 crowd. As they are trying to figure out why the memory virus hasn't spread to the dad, he let's out a sneeze--an over-the-top reminder that he has a cold--a moment written for a pretty dense audience. I will probably let the TiVo keep recording it but I don't know if I'll really keep up with it. Still, I hope it succeeds. And there are a few serial issues that might keep me coming back.

I'm sure Mr. "I make 10x more than you" will say he's #2 but I've never met a #2 consultant that worked for the government.
-
Let's not leave out the biggest federal leaches: consultants. The US government loves to pay a useless consultant who has all the answers and presents a know it all plan, only to either poorly execute the plan or move on from the plan mid stream or to find out the consultant knows diddly. I'm not sure what's more useless: college professor, lawyer, or government consultant. It's a tight race.
