It's interesting that everyone is vilifying Roberts because they see this as some sort of betrayal, but no one is attacking the justices who joined Roberts. It took 5 and yet there's only talk of impeaching one. That he authored the opinion is no shock--he pulled rank to write it because it's the most important opinion in years.

Arrogance killed the blackberry. When the iPhone and Android devices came out, a bunch of posters on here (who typified BB arrogance) kept saying that corporate IT would never abandon the blackberry because the other systems were basically toys by comparison. Meanwhile, the BB devices continued to fall behind and now RIM is circling the toilet. Android and iPhone could circle the toilet in 5 years too. It's a quickly shifting landscape.

There were staunch RIM/BB defenders here as little as 2 years ago. RIM is a joke now. I don't know a single person who still has a blackberry. Everyone is Android or iPhone. BTW, the iPhone turns 5 today.

He's a complete dick. No atheist cares this much about atheism. Isn't that kind of the whole damn point? To most atheists, religions are kooky little hobbies and as long as they stay out of our way (and no, I don't care about a Christmas Tree in the local park), who gives a crap? I'd like to reiterate that she was REALL REALLY REALLY epicly bad at her job. I am not a hospice social worker (that's for you 3rd) because that's not a job that suits my personality--I could not do it. This woman should not be working with monster teens in a situation where she is supposed to monitor/discipline them. The kids are still little monsters but WTF. IF you're going to cry and say you're going to put their faces on posters, maybe this is not the job for you.

Who knows. I knew a lot of cruel kids who didn't feel much remorse for bullying and being asshats.
