  1. Ok defense. Let's show it. Thanks Dirty. He's out. Will be overturned. Crap.
  2. Obama is a divisive hack and as a result, we have this ****ty economy.
  3. Meanwhile, Obama's job approval rating spiked up during the convention. At 52% approval, highest it's been in over a year.
  4. Well, you're the only one saying that. If Romney wins, it will be a really tight electoral count race. That's his only hope. He'll need Florida and North Carolina for sure, and then something in the Ohio/Michigan/Wisconsin vein...and a few more smaller ones. He is definitely fighting uphill. The good news for him is that with more in the war chest, he can divide his attack better. That bad news is that Obama has a better looking electoral map with many avenues for success. Decent if not in-depth enough article in the WSJ about the electroral map this morning.
  5. You blame the ****ty economy on Obama's personality...and I'm the meathead. Good one. I like that you keep trying to spin your stupidity.
  6. I didn't listen to any coverage and haven't had time to. I heard the speech on the radio. Seemed good--certainly (in terms of delivery) a lot better than Romney but that's to be expected. Also (again expected), more pulled heartstrings. The RNC floor energy was terrible. Except for the top dogs. most of the convention hall shots (I watched all speeches through the RNC webpage) showed people milling about and not listening to speakers at all. The DNC must have seen that and put out a mandate to pay attention. It's certainly hard to take seriously rising rhetoric when attendees are hamming it up. Not that it matters for ratings or anything, but the energy couldn't help but be better for the DNC. Obama will probably get a bigger bounce than Romney. The media gobbled the speeches from the first lady, Clinton, Biden, and Obama.
  7. Wow, that's nice but not what you said. Avoid, evade. Here's the cause and effect statement you made. Again. Maybe I can simplify your own words for you since you don't understand them. You said "Obama is a dick and as a result, we have a bad economy." This sort of Kindergarten breakdown of your 2nd grade logic might help you understand your stupidity. But I doubt it.
  8. I can only call you on your own bull **** so many times and have you ignore it. But because Obama is pompous, the economy is a mess right? Cause and effect, just like you said.
  9. Interesting exercise for some intern, comparing the written draft vs the actual speech. http://www.theatlanticwire.com/politics/2012/09/what-bill-clinton-said-vs-what-he-wrote/56562/?fb_action_ids=4548719840547&fb_action_types=og.likes&fb_source=other_multiline&action_object_map=%7B%224548719840547%22%3A350027138417634%7D&action_type_map=%7B%224548719840547%22%3A%22og.likes%22%7D&action_ref_map=%5B%5D
  10. Try to respond using facts (yesterday). Or work on your logic (today). You're putting on quite a stupidity lesson lately. Read your statement again and maybe you can figure out why you look so foolish. Hint: You concluded something absurd based on Barry's personality. It's amazing that you think of yourself as a poll expert and have some insight into economics after posting the below drivel.
  11. Did you get the Cherry or Grape when you drank Mitt's Kool Aid? That's some cause and effect oversimplificaiton there.
  12. As that was happening, I remember a swell of pride building that this was going to get done. I still can't believe how close they got...and instead of working it out, just walked away. Bad for all of us. If Obama had gotten that deal done, he'd be even more secure right now in this reelection bid. His own party would have grumbled but they'd still support him.
  13. Refs made mistakes? Wow, who woulda thunk it? The replacement refs are proving what everyone knows: Refs are replaceable.
  14. I knew we could agree on something. The thing that the Dems keep doing, any way they can, is to link Romney to Bush and say, "Do you really want more of that?" since the Romney campaign tap dances around Bush's legacy, it's damaging. Bush hurt the party tremendously. The RNC speakers kept saying "It doesn't matter how we got here" instead of pointing out the Dems contribution to "how we got here" and admitting failures in their own leadership. Unsurprisingly, Clinton is the best speaker yet and will be the best of either convention. Didn't agree with him, but it's hard to beat an ex president. The Reps couldn't do roll their guy out--they gave Dubya the Carter treatment (left him on video) and I'm guessing HW isn't up for addressing a convention hall. Short on specifics, long on effectiveness is my guess on how Clinton's speech will go down.
  15. The Dem platofrm mentions education 45 times. The Rep platform mentions it 7. Republicans hate kids. The Dem platform mentions science 5 times, Republicans 0. Republicans hate science. The Dem platform mentions facts 19 times. Republicans 1. Republicans hate facts. The Republican platform doesn't mention vegetables once. Republicans don't want you to eat healthy! (I only posted this so B-man goes and counts.)
  16. It will be interesting to see how Clinton approaches his economic vision tonight. I bet he will sound more like Warren. There's no way he makes the same pro-business speeches that he would have made during his presidency. Obama would sh** all over that. http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/09/05/in-clinton-and-warren-competing-messages-for-the-middle-class/?hp
  17. Said it last year. Say it again now. Groin injuries don't go away. He needs to take off 6-9 months to have a chance at kicking this. Hamstring pulls are similar injuries. They need absolute shutdown for a long time. Playing through them (like Stevie did last year) is a terrible decision.
  18. The next time you want me check your work NJSue, you could check it yourself first.
  19. YOUR STATEMENT: Two to three months ago, Obama was feeling a lot better about his possiblities than he does today, and if I was in Romney's camp, I would realize that this is the best position that they've been in since the two man race had begun. YOUR CONCLUSION: Those are facts. Really? Try not to leave the fruit so low on the branches. Maybe your next post can ignore the facts I included in my post too. You're like a Democrat. You say that I'm a liar and then avoid the numbers. Keep up the good work. Rahm Emanual might hire you someday.
  20. Do you even look at the history in those states where things are moving "decisively"? In May and June, Romney was leading in Florida ACCORDING TO YOUR OWN SOURCE...in a state that you have said he "must win." But now he's losing there. But you, a self-proclaimed poll master, are invigorated by Romney's 0.4% jump post convention? You can't even interpret your own source. In North Carolina, Romney has expanded a lead he already had. BFD, Except that if he loses there, it's catastrophic. But even there...Romney's lead is less than it was in May and June. . So, as I have done before, using your own source, I've shown that there is limited reason for optimism. Unlike you, I'll admit that it appears Ohio may have actually made a significant move. VA's most recent polls are almost inexpicable in that huge jump. I don't know if that's real or some sort of polling anomaly. I'd think you'd have the same skepticism about VA but knowing you, you just saw Romney's gap decrease and got excited. The fact that you keep ignoring, and I've mentioned it again and again, is that Romney MUST WIN Florida, and several other states where he's behind. Obama...all he has to do is win Florida. If he does that, he's 20 electoral votes away from 270 and in the toss-up states, that will be easy for him. Romney needs to win Florida...and still get 50 more electoral votes by winning at least two of VA, MI, NC, OH and sweeping the in-play smalls. That's going to be very, very, hard. You refuse to acknowledge the facts of the electoral map.
  21. We were discussing the map's toss-up states. Try to keep up. Your campaign of optimism for Romney's chances is so objective.
  22. And PA is a tossup? And Michigan too? Even Magox isn't that optimistic.
  23. Ann Romney won her night. Michelle unsurprisingly won hers.
  24. So did your girlfriend when she dumped you for the shadow man that we all know is out there.
