Bucky Brooks top 5 by position draft prospects
ndirish1978 replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Give me 2-4 of his LB rankings in the 1st and I'd be happy to move on from Milano. 2) Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Notre Dame 3) Nick Bolton, Missouri 4) Jabril Cox, LSU -
I'm confused. Why has there been all this talk about not being able to sign Milano, who is important for us, at 12-13/yr and we're suddenly all ok with paying 12M for a rotational piece? I mean, I want to pay him 12M too, just realized that I had the sam attitude described above and thought it was worth noting.

Available players released from other teams

Or they could extend Brown 1 year, lower his cap his dramatically and not create another need. We can lower his cap hit significantly with some pretty basic changes in structure. -
Is Luke Kuechly a Pipedream?
ndirish1978 replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is one of those threads where we just throw all real information out of the window and instead indulge in wild, unfounded speculation? I have no idea if Star want to be traded for Aaron Donald, but if both parties are amenable I'd do it. -
Give Watt the money that was due to Jefferson/Butler. He can play 3T or DE at an elite level and Jefferson/Butler stink. With Star coming back it doesn't even leave us in a position to need to pick someone else up as far as the numbers go. You can rotate Addison and AJ.

I want this to happen so much. So it probably won't

Mcshay Mock has Najee Harris to Buffalo
ndirish1978 replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Better than the mock drafts in December we used to do though. -
The only commercial that didn't stink was the Tracy Morgan Rocket Mortgage Ad. Everything else was pretty meh.

I’m warming up to the JJ Watt idea
ndirish1978 replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LOL at all these people thinking this is madden. "Sure we will take him, but only on a vet minimum deal." Pie in the sky high hopes here. He'll get cut for his salary cap figure but he's not signing somewhere for half of what he was making, he will get 14+ -
Should NFL Adopt 3rd Place Game Week Before Super Bowl?
ndirish1978 replied to Dr.Sack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
American culture doesn't value 2nd or 3rd place in team sports. No one would care about winning the bronze, just as no one cares who loses in the superbowl. Add to that the chance of injury and this idea holds no water. -
Beane says no "blockbuster" moves. Do you believe him?
ndirish1978 replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We need a lot of help on Defense. I could see us changing a LITTLE bit from Beane's usual MO of "sign 3-4 mid-tier players to compete for 2 positions" and instead look for 1-2 actual playmakers if the money is right. But no, I don't see us offering JJ Watt 17M per after he gets cut. -
Source: LB Matt Milano looking for “top dollar” in FA

Fansided - isn't that website even less credible than Bleacher Report? -
The second you advocated cutting the one productive Dline player we have you lost me. Hughes will no be going anywhere. You cut: 1. John Brown - Dead cap 1.6m; Cap savings 7.9m 2. Vernon Butler - Dead cap 1m; Cap savings 6.8m 3. Quinton Jefferson - Dead cap 1.5m; Cap savings 6.5m 5. Mario Addison - Dead cap 4m; Cap savings 6.1m 6. Lee Smith - Dead cap 0; Cap savings 2.25m I'd ask AJ Klein to restructure too.

Hopefully this sets market expectations for Watson at 3 1st round picks and a QB at a minimum.

Deshaun Watson officially requests trade from Houston

To be fair, I read about 2% of the posts and then just inserted my own feeling in the response. -
Deshaun Watson officially requests trade from Houston
ndirish1978 replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're missing the real point. Whenever you read someone criticizing Deshaun just hit the translate button and read the intent behind it "this sucks, we finally have the best QB in the division with little competition, I don't want someone that's as good as Josh or better playing us 2x a year." I don't care about Deshaun Watson, his politics or his feelings either way. I would like him to sign somewhere other than the AFC East. If he signs here, I will hate him as I have hated many others. That is all.
